Air Handling Unit - Main Parts

The Base Frame


The each module of AHU is mounted on a continuous beam of galvanised steel channel held together with die cast
aluminium base corners with lifting holes for easy handling. Extruded aluminum alloy base is also available as option.
Frame Work
The modular framework is made of anticorrosive extruded aluminium profile. Different types of profiles are available to
choose from.
The Coil Section
We offer a wide range of chilled water, direct expansion, hot water & steam coils upto 12 rows deep. The coils are
computer selected to obtain optimum psychometric efficiency 2 with low air & water pressure drops. Each coil is pressure
tested at 21 kg / cm under water for trouble free operations. Coils with anticorrosive aluminium fins, copper fins, copper
header with MS adopter and MS header is also available as option.
The Drain Pan
The unique design aluminium construction drain-pan with multi slope ensures complete drainage of the condensate &
prevents growth of microbes during off or heating cycles.
The Panel
Standard 25mm / 43 mm panels are made of prepainted / precoated / GSS Sheets injected with environment friendly PUF
of uniform density of 40 3 +2 kg/m . The panels are fixed to the frame work using special imported self drilling & tapping
screws. To ensure air tight construction, self sticking gaskets are provided between the panel & frame. For specialized
applications food grade gaskets are provided. Choice of Al / SS304 / Prepainted sheet as inner skin.
Hinges & Locks
All access doors & panels are provided with hinges & locks made of self extinguishing nylon. The access panels are fitted
to the panel using multifinned gasket which provide perfect air tightness & can be removed easily using hand tools. Food
grade gasket is also available.
The Fan & Motor Module
High energy efficient forward / backward curved aerofoil AMCA certified centrifugal fans are available for all
applications. The fan & motor is mounted on a common channel fitted with anti-vibration isolators to avoid the vibration
transfer to main casing. The fan is connected to the casing using self extinguishing fabric flexible connection. Direct drive
plenum fan is also available for special applications. The limit switch is also provided on fan door for human safety.
The Filter Section
Fully sealed filter sectons are designed for easy installtion & removal. A complete range of filters with various
efficiencies and media are available as per requirements. Pressure measurement ports can be provided across fine filters
as option.

The Air Mixing Section


Fresh air & return air can be mixed at the desired rate with dampers that are specially designed for maximum air
efficiency. Motorized / Manual damper in extruded aluminium aerofoil design / GSS / SS construction is available. A
combination of 2 way or 3 way mixing chamber is also
available.
