PRAYERS FOR VOCATIONS God our Father, You will all men and women to be saved and come
to the knowledge of your Truth. Send workers into your great harvest that the Gospel may be preached to every creature and your people. Gathered together by the word of life and strengthened by the power of the sacraments, lead young people to the way of love and salvation. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen . Lord, Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of our souls, You who know Your sheep and know how to reach out and touch our hearts, open the minds and hearts of young people who search for and await a word of truth for their lives; let them understand that only in the mystery of Your Incarnation will they find full light; arouse the courage of those who know where to seek the truth, however fear that what You ask will be too difficult and demanding. Stir in the hearts of young people who want to follow You, but who cannot overcome their doubts and fears, and who in the end, follow other voices and other paths which lead nowhere. You who are the Word of the Father, the Word which creates and saves, the Word which enlightens and sustains hearts, conquer with Your Spirit and love the resistance, the fears and the doubts of young people whom You have invited, called and chosen to leave everything behind just to follow You. Amen . Jesus, Son of God, in whom the fullness of the Divinity dwells, You call all the baptized to take the path that leads to holiness. Waken in the hearts of young people the desire to be witnesses in the world of today to the power of Your love. Fill them with Your Spirit of fortitude and prudence, so that they may be able to discover the full truth about themselves and their own vocation. Our Saviour, sent by the Father to reveal His merciful love, give to your Church the gift of young people who are willing to offer themselves to the religious life. Holy Virgin, Mother of the Redeemer, our guide on the way towards God and the kingdom, You who loved the Savior in the depth of your heart, sustain with your motherly intercession our families and our ecclesial communities, so that they may inspire adolescents and young people to generously answer the call to the priesthood and religious life. Amen . Heavenly Father, bless your Church with an abundance of laborers, of holy and zealous priests, deacons, brothers and sisters. Give them the special graces that they need, and the guidance and inspiration of Your Son, so that in Him, with Him and through Him they may willingly answer Your call, love You more deeply, and serve You more faithfully, always and everywhere. With Mary, we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen. Father, You call all who believe in You to grow perfect in love by following in the footsteps and example of Christ Your Son. May more young men and women be touched by Your calling to be counted among those whom You have chosen to serve in the vineyard of the kingdom especially for the Church and the whole world. Amen . Most merciful Jesus, who taught us to pray to the Father to send laborers into His harvest, on bended knees, we beseech You to send down the Holy Spirit on the Christian youth of our land to inspire them to answer the calling to the priesthood and religious vocation. Spirit of piety, arouse in them the zeal to surrender and offer themselves as sacrifices; O Spirit of fortitude, give them strength to break all earthly bonds; O Spirit of counsel, guide them into priesthood; O Spirit of wisdom, show them to follow You and to obey Your will. Amen.
