Sam Jones' Exhibition - Mull

The exhibition will explore the relationship between landscape photographers and the Isle of Mull through a series of black and white photographs. While photographers seek to capture and possess landscapes, the document argues they are actually possessed by the landscapes, drawn in by their connection to the places and compelled to return regardless of the weather and conditions. Good photographers develop a deep understanding of the landscapes they photograph to convey a sense of the emotional experience through their images. The exhibition aims to portray this experiential connection to place and will be accompanied by a book, workshop and sponsorship from local organizations.
