Overview
Who am I? I am a young man just beginning my life and looking for opportunities in it. I pride myself on my work ethic, efficiency, and people skills. In any work situation, I strive to complete the task with speed and accuracy, working to find the best way to do something and utilizing all my fellow employees to the best of their abilities. I consider myself a very driven person, I do not settle for just okay or good enough, and I am always reaching for the top. Though I continue to push towards my success, I do take the time to give back to the community that helped raise me. I have worked hand in hand with West Pasco SERTOMA over the last seven years raising money for the childrens speech and hearing foundation. While working with SERTOMA, I was in charge of cooking at their annual BBQ, which requires great attention to detail, and time management. Ive also worked with the Rotary club of New Port Richey in building a new pavilion, and renovating their concourse An outdoor area that they used for charity events. Last, but not least, I worked with Habitat for Humanity in constructing homes for those in need. Academically I have done well, finishing high school with a 4.25 GPA, and scoring a 32 on the ACT. I completed several Advanced Placement classes, including U.S. Government, Micro Economics, U.S History, and Calculus. Though I had a heavy workload throughout high school, I was also able to join the wrestling team, and be a captain on the football team. For my extracurricular, I help run my fathers racecar manufacturing company. Ive been working with him since I was 14. While working with him, I have learned how to build a racecar from the ground up which requires extreme attention to detail. Running the pit operation, and dealing with in the field fixes were also part of my key responsibilities.
Experience
Wal-Mart September 31st 2011 March 31st 2012
I started at Wal-Mart as a cashier, I quickly picked up on the way things are done and became the go to guy when others where having problems, and thus becoming CSM. I often spent my days making sure everything ran smoothly in the store, and that all the customers where happy. I was trained in customer service, and how to deal with unhappy customers. I worked as CSM for 5 months before being offered a position in the TLE department, even though I worked in TLE I would still act as a CSM. Publix April 1st 2012 Present
Ive worked for Publix about 16 months now. I started out as a bag boy there, and after a week working that I was transferred to the deli department. I made the transfer because being a bag boy was to easy and I wanted a challenge, and I wanted to earn my pay. The deli is the hardest department in the store to work in; we tend to have the most things to do, and the least amount of time to do them. Working there has taught me to multitask, prioritize my work, and build the people into a team to get everything done in a timely manner. I was named employee of the month in October 2012. And was awarded Role Model Employee on my most recent evaluation. Nine West October 10th 2012 January 9th 2013
I worked for Nine West for just about two months. The job is very sales oriented, and requires strong attention to customers, and an understanding of what they need. I have exceeded my sales goals in every week that I have worked, about $6,000 above my goal.
