Photography Exploration Guide

This unit focuses on exploring and experimenting with ideas presented in the exploration proposal. Students are not expected to complete final works, but rather test ideas, techniques, and mediums to develop their skills and determine their preferred style. Using their selected theme as a starting point, students will create works that fully explore that idea. Not all ideas and works will be included in the final portfolio, but will demonstrate the development of the idea. Accompanying written tasks will help prepare for exams and successfully complete the practical explorations. The goal is to develop a folio of works illustrating the ideas from the written proposal. This unit and the proposal will inform final works created in the next unit.

exploration proposal) and begin to create works that explore that idea to its fullest. not all the ideas and works you create during this time will end up being part of your nal work / nal idea but they will go in your visual diary to show the journey your idea took. # Your practical work in this unit will also be accompanied by some written tasks that help you prepare for the written exam at the end of the year and will be very important to you successfully completing the practical explorations. # So to summarise, Outcome 1, the exploration proposal, is the written document that outlines your idea and explains why and how you intend to explore your idea. Outcome 2 is the practical experiments and images that you create and develop into a folio of works that illustrate the ideas set out in your written proposal. Both of these projects will eventually inform the nal works you do in Unit 4.# This task is worth 34% of your nal mark.
