Definitions
Vessel: Watercraft capable of being used as transportation on the water.
Power Boat: A mechanically propelled vessel.
Composite Unit: A special two part hull that when joined by hydraulic rams or
mechanical means, is considered a powerboat rather than a towing
situation.
Sailing Vessel: Any vessel under sail provided propelling machinery, if fitted, is not
being used.
Engaged in Fishing: A fishing vessel that because of her fishing gear, cannot maneuver
as required by the rules.
Not Under Command: (NU! A vessel that because of some e"ceptional circumstance,
cannot maneuver as required by the rules.
