The purpose of this document is to define the procedures for Concrete work and i! 
Design at compression station pro"ect

3. RESPONSIBILITIES 
It is the overa## responsi(i#it) of the Construction Contractor to organi*e resources to 
perform construction activities as per pro"ect specification+ in comp#iance with &ua#it)+

5. CONCRETE WORK
5.1 DESIGN MIX

descri(ed in the pro"ect specification.
5.2 MATERIAL
4.6.5 The  cement   used  for   concrete+   reinforced   concrete+   mortar+   grout   7

specification.
4.6.6 The Contractor sha## provide certificates of conformance.

ma) impair the strength+ dura(i#it) or &ua#it) of concrete.
4.6.: -amp#ing and testing of coarse aggregate.
4.6.; %ach si*e of the aggregate sha##  (e stored separate#) and in a manner
that wi## prevent contamination and intermi!ing. The e&uipment 7 method
of hand#ing the aggregates sha## ensure that the stockpi#es do not suffer
deterioration and contamination.

free   from  in"urious   amounts   of   impurities   =Pota(#e   water   meets   this
re&uirement>. The water sha## conform the pro"ect specification?.CI code
re&uirements. The water sha## (e stored in a c#ean container or tank and

4.8.89 During hot weather the Contractor sha## take a## necessar) instructions to
ensure  that   the  temperature  of   the  mi!ed  concrete  does  not   e!ceed
specified temperature.
4.8.84 These   measures   sha##   inc#ude+   (ut   not   (e   #imited   to+   shading   of
aggregates+ spra)ing water on aggregates+ #inking the mi!ing water to a
chi##ed unit+ chi##ing the mi! ingredients with ice and when ice is used in

6. INSPECTION
