What I Love About the Position
I could use my experience in the power plant as a maintenance engineer and apply it here if ever I am assigned to making job
orders.
Since I have an idea on the priority of maintenance operations.
I'll be able to use and master AutoCAD (or SolidWorks once I learn it) to design machines and equipments for the company's
sake or for the customer's sake.
I like to sing, play musical instruments and also to draw.
I enjoy working on computer-based applications be it documentation or design.
I will consume my first day familiarizing the workplace and the equipments around it,
learn the different systems that exists within the workplace and also to get along with my coworkers.
why should we hire you
I think I will be the suitable candidate for this position. Though I have minimal experience, Im a self-motivated individual and
willing to learn anything.
Ill do my best to be an asset of your company. I am positive minded and believe in continuous learning and improvement.
I also believe in getting out of my comfort zone and achieving the best in whatever I do.
greatest achievement so far
I passed the Licensure Exam for Mechanical Engineer,
something irrelevant, I helped a stranger to pass the IELTS exam. IELTS exam is an English literacy exam. She was very gratef ul
for my help and considered me as
her friend. My achievement here is helping someone in need.
strengths
I have an appetite for learning things, whether how they are made or how do they work or why do they exist. If ever I am hire d,
you'll see me holding a notebook and a pen, observing things and asking a lot of questions.
I always do my best on projects. For me, enough is not enough, there's always a room for improvement. That's what is always
on my mind when I'm learning
a new song on the guitar, finishing a painting, writing my thesis and even in writing an essay.
impatient
I don't know how to say "no" on some occasions.
I'm working on it though.

1. Tell me about the most challenging engineering project that you have been involved with during past year.
Uhm, this one is not really a "project", if I may say. and that would be the final exercise given to us during the AutoCAD short
course.
I was asked to build a 2-story house, complete with the necessary floor plans and a 3 dimensional drawing with furnitures
inside.
The purpose of the exam is to prove that I know how to use everything I learned on that training.
The one that I could consider as a project, though it didn't happened last year, was our prototype for our thesis. It was a plastic
shredder.
We were testing different designs to achieve finer or smaller output. There were lots of problem-solving and we can really feel
the engineering side of it.
We think of ways how to improve the output considering different factors and asking ourselves questions such as what type of
belt to use,
how much horsepower do we need, what design is much practical for everyday use etc.
2. Describe the most significant written technical report or presentation that you had to complete.
that would be the manuscript of my dissertation. I'm quite confident with my written english skill so my partner let me do the
documentation and tabulation of data.
I enjoy writing and translating documents.
3. In your last engineering position, what were some of the things that you spent the most time on, and how much time did you
spend on each?
During my OJT I was assigned in the Mechanical Maintenance department for 2 weeks. Instead of sitting at the office and
reading plans,
I volunteered to have hands-on experience with the plant mechanics. My supervisor agreed to it and the plant mechanics are
happy to teach me things
that could only be experienced inside the power plant such as scheduled lubrication, replacement of pump, declogging of sluice
pipes, replacement of bag filters
from the Fly Ash silo.
And then I got assigned to the Predictive Maintenance department where I experienced doing vibration analysis on motors and
pumps and also oil analysis where we
check for pieces of metals and other impurities to determine if the machine is wearing out or deteriorating.
4. What do you enjoy most/least about engineering?
I enjoy discovering new things, how they work and how they are made. I love innovations and high-technology stuffs.
5. What new engineering specialty skills have you developed during the past year?
AutoCAD 2D and 3D. I'm interested on learning SolidWorks as well.
TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF
I have 2 older sisters and a younger brother. in the middle of my college term, My parents went abroad to stay with my oldest
sister and helped her watch
her kids. They also used the opportunity
to earn money there. My 2nd sister is my role model. She's a brilliant woman and a religious one too. She excels in academic as
well as in painting. She's a
great singer also, she won
singing competitions ever since her elementary days up until college. She worked as a software engineer even though she's a
licensed Chemical Engineer. Then she
entered the business industry. Me and my brother are greatly influenced by her. Right after I pass the licensure exam, I deci ded
to join my sister on selling
real estate properties. The income is quite good. it is enough to pay our monthly bills and pay some of our debts. But the day
came when she decided to become
a nun. months passed after she entered the monastery, I thought of continuing my engineering career. I need to have a fixed

In school, I realized that I'm good at learning new things, especially softwares in computers. I always topped the class when it
comes to those computer-related
subjects. I discovered that I have a wide variety of interests. I've been salutatorian in elementary, played fielder for base ball in
the Provincial Meet, achieved
second place in an amateur singing contest in our town.
in highschool, I joined chess tournaments, won an award in Poster-making Contest. The theme was about World Peace. I've
been a member of a rondalla band since grade 3 until I graduate from high school. I played the guitar there.
In college, I joined the baseball team and volunteered as a muralist. Right now, I'm in a band with my younger brother. He's the
vocalist and I'm the lead guitarist.
reading books and learning languages are among my many hobbies.
