As a game player for most of my life I have enjoyed a vast array of different types
of games giving different experiences. My favorites are games that create a world where I
feel that I am apart of it. Games with rich stories that put the player through an array of
experiences both good and bad is very fulfilling as a game player. A game that can take
me into its world and have me feel involved with its problems is a seller to me. Even
when I’m not playing and I can think of other aspects of the world that aren’t even shown
is what I look for in a game. As a writer I look for the same things in all forms of media. I
look for the parts that pull me in and make me feel like this is a living, breathing world
full of rich history and an interesting future. I hope to create worlds myself where the lore
and history are interesting enough to have people read about it even if its not apart of the
game. For this project there is a rich history that has been suppressed and forgotten by its
own people. It is my hopes that as the player progresses through the game they will want
to spend time finding out what the world was like before the game. I also wanted to
Many games have the player control a central character as well as a group of supporting
characters but I have yet to come across a game where I felt a bond with one of the
companions of my group past their uses to reaching the end of the game. In this game I
have tried to express the importance of the companion and to show a bond that will
Atop the crumbling Court Tower in the capitol city of Wey’Amarr, Izmah gazed onward
to the sunset. “Is it done?” tired and feeling defeated not even the beauty of the sunset
over the ocean could stir him.
“Yes.” Phin, always such a cold voice. His breath could shatter glass.
“Such a terrible price to pay. So many people, how will they ever survive?” How will I
ever survive?
“They will find a way, they are strong.” Izmah didn’t think Phin was talking about
anyone but himself.
“They will only have to wait until one of us can reunite the people.” Celie, such grace
and beauty, even now after so much destruction and death she looked on over the city in
complete confidence of victory. Always has she acted the Queen, her family blood line
has always been strong.
“But when will that be? How long must they live in darkness…” how long can I survive
intoned Izmah. I’ve lost everything he thought to himself, and now so has everyone
else…
As the end drew near and closed the mighty kingdom of Amarra fell. Over the
following decades the people came together forming six small nations. The Inutra people
of the desert; they are considered the best survivalist and excellent in the skills of
fighting. The Mucrio people of the mountains were as tough as the rocks surrounding
them and just as stubborn. The Undanen people of the coast and ocean are arrogant
boasting about their rich heritage of noble families. The Patsen of the grasslands are
known for their ability to run as fast and hard as the horses that they raise. The Aemus,
people of the forests are agile and have keen senses are also known for their diplomacy
and intelligence. Lastly are the Madifus of the jungle and swamps who are known as the
liars and tricksters of the world. Each nation keeps to itself for fear of another war that
would destroy them. A seventh nation arose amongst the ruins of Amarra. They hold to
no land or nation, their only pact is to each other. They are spread through all the lands,
their Elder Council roaming between villages keeping law and order. These people,
marking on their left sides marked them as Amarens where their markings on their right
sides marked them for their ancestry and village. Although one nation each village took
part in the culture and societies of the land they were in. They came to be known as hiring
themselves out for almost any job. Some were skilled craftsmen, others diplomats, and
still others as mercenaries. Their allegiances were to themselves and to those in need,
never to a nation or government. This makes them friends to the people and unfriendly to
those in power. 300 years now have past and the story picks up with Kasin, a young
Amaren from the village of Silven in the Aemus forest nation. Being a hired mercenary
This story picks up three hundred years after the six great kingdoms of the world
won the war against the hordes of Daen but bringing an end to their Golden Age. Kasin is
a young Amaren whose family history has always been those who follow the sword to
help others. Kasin grew up in the forests, learning the trade skills of a mercenary from his
father and to care for all living creatures from his mother. Never feeling apart of the
Determined to see the world and help those he can with his sword he feels a pull,
or a feeling of uneasiness each time he stays in one place to long as if the road is calling
him to tread on it again. The story starts with him in the village of Sa’Gram looking for
work. He is approached by a small group of men asking for his assistance; a prisoner of
theirs was taken from them and they need her back. Finding the camp on the outskirts of
the village Kasin finds the prisoner and kidnaps her. Upon finding a safe place to rest
Kasin sees markings on the woman’s arm and rips the overcoat off of her revealing that
After asking her a series of question Kasin finds out that her name is Kyri and that she
was not born in an Amaren village but lived in a small settlement near the coast.
Realizing the situation is dire Kasin decides that the only safe option for the two is to
head to the nearest Amaren village of Evian a few miles off where the Elder Council is
currently in session. The group of men worries about what has happened when Kasin is
late and come after the pair. Coming to the camp Kasin and the prisoner is nowhere to be
found. Following their tracks they cut them off of their route before they can reach safety
Defeating this small group of ruffians Kasin and Kyri, the woman he rescued,
seek an audience with the Elder Council. After discussing the issue it is determined that
the time has come to reunite the people of Amarra starting with the tribes of Amarens that
are scattered through out the lands. In order to do this Kyrie and Kasin are tasked to
travel to each Amaren village carrying orders for each village to relocate to the old
capitol city of Wey’Amarr. Kyri must do this both to show her family markings to help
convince the villages of this decision but also so she can get to know the people and for
the people to see for their own eyes that they now have a Queen. Kasin is designated as
her guard and tutor to teach her of the Amaren people. They must help the six villages
spread through out the lands so they can move to the capitol. There is also the capitol
itself that will present quests and one enemy city that will be explored. The first village to
help will be Evian, the current village they are in. After helping through various quests
Kasin and Kyri have the choice of any village to travel to next. The five other villages are
Lauseo in the mountains, Amnes in the desert, Caelus on the coast, Silven in the forests,
accessible although Heabun can only be visited at a certain point in the game. In each
village there will be a series of quest to convince each village and then to help them to
prepare for a safe journey. Wey’Amarr can be visited any time after the first village Evian
is completed. While there Kasin and Kyri can rest, buy better supplies, seek guidance if
stuck, and roam around the city. As more time goes by and more people move into the
capitol there will be noticeable improvement in the condition of the people and the city
itself.
After Kasin and Kyri are done helping any four villages and are traveling to one
of the next villages they are ambushed by a large force of men. Although Kasin is able to
fend off the ambush and the attackers flee he will notice that Kyri is missing. It is
apparent that the men who just attacked were not common thieves but men hired to find
and take Kyri. By completing missions and convincing villages to pack up and leave
word of what is happening and what is planned by your Elder Council has powerful
people in other nations worried and determined to either get their hands on Kyri
themselves to use her or to kill her and stop the reforming of the old kingdom. The story
now arcs to Kasin being alone for the first time since the very beginning of the game. He
has tracked the group of attackers back to Heabun, the capitol city of the jungle nation
Madifus.
While in this city the quests follow a different route; Kasin must find out where
Kyri is being held, find out how to rescue her, and then find a way to get out of the city
all the while not being discovered. While in the city Kasin develops a darkness about him
and it becomes apparent to the player that Kyri means a great deal to him. While
more evil and dark as time goes on until he can rescue Kyri. As stated Kasin was a
drifter; he never stayed in a place to long because he always got a feeling of being pulled
away like he was looking for something and hadn’t found it yet. This feeling is now gone,
replaced with affection towards Kyri; meaning he found what he was missing in his life
After rescuing Kyri from prison and escaping the city the two embark to complete
their quest. After completing the last two villages the last part of the story takes place in
the capitol. Now fully rebuilt and swarming with life the Amaren’s are ready to begin
remaking the kingdom of Amarra. Since this means attempting to fold all the nations
back into one stronger nation those who are in power do not like this idea. The nations of
Mucrio, Undanen, and Madifus have collaborated in sending a makeshift army with the
last hope to disperse the Amarens and end this ray of hope for the people of this
continent. This battle places Kasin outside the city walls at first, fighting with a small
group of people who were helped during their questing in the world before. During this
battle Kasin is informed that a small group of highly trained warriors has entered the city
through old passageways and are making their way to the Queen. Rushing back to the
palace this last fight puts Kasin and Kyri together again for one last fight as a team. After
fending off the attacks on the city Kasin asks Kyri to marry him and the game ends as
New Amarra prepares to bring the nations together again, hopefully through peace and
diplomacy.
Narrative Script:
Cut Scene:
Kasin
Screen is black and fades in to Kasin standing on a dirt road. There is some vegetation
and a few trees.
My people have always tried to make the world change, but I never
expected it to actually change in my life time. The land changed once, due
to humanities desire for power and control. The only answer was to shatter
it, to destroy our own nations to prevent the hordes of Daen from
conquering all. But for nearly three hundred years it has stayed the same;
stagnate. A cesspool of loosely allied people, all clinging to their lands,
never venturing far or even making their own worlds a better place.
The screen begins panning through the different nations as Kasin is describing them.
The Desert people are rough like the sand they dwell in but are the best
survivalists and warriors in all the lands. Although they are fewest in
numbers they are the most united under us. The Mountain people are hard
and cold, they keep to themselves up in the heights of the mountains.
Those in the Grasslands try to stay out of peoples business, taking care of
their horses as well as each other. The Forest folk are reclusive, but caring
to all living creatures and their trees. People in the Jungle nation are
slippery liars and tricksters. And those of the Coast, they believe they are
noble and righteous, and very quick to blame others for evil
transgressions. Only my people, the Amaren are of every land. We have no
capital, only villages. The Elders have kept us united through it all. It has
been so for nearly three hundred years, until I met Kyri.
Screen fades in on Kyri and slowly pans around her as Kasin talks
She was different. Born in the Coastal lands she presented herself as a
haughty leader, expecting everyone to do as she asked. It’s a wonder the
Elders proclaimed her as our Queen, to lead us out of the darkness. She
has changed… everything. And it has been my duty to keep her safe, to
present her to all the villages of my people as our Queen and to move all
our people to the abandoned Capital Wey’Amarr to reclaim what was lost;
to set in motion events that would force the world to change as well. We
have been hunted since the start, and will be hunted until the end. I
remember how it began…
The camera ends on Kasin looking thoughtful. This is the end of the cut scene and the
start of the game. All the gameplay is considered a flashback of his memories until the
end of Act II.
Scripted Event: After approaching the only gate in the village Kasin comes across a group
of men.
Group Leader
Excuse me, my friends and I were wondering if you could help us?
Groupie 1
See, I tolds you he was one of them peoples. A ah… Amaren.
Group Leader
Hold your tongue! You see sir; we were escorting a prisoner back to our
lands when she was taken from us a few days ago. We tracked them to a
small camp outside this here village, but due to certain umm
circumstances we can’t go barging in and take her back.
Kasin
Of course, no one wants to die for someone who is just going to end up in
a jail cell. The price is 500, Undanen weight, and I’ll have her back to you
by morning.
Groupie 2
Undanen weight!?
Group Leader
We’ll pay 200 now and the rest when you get back. And please make sure
she isn’t killed.
Kasin
Deal.
Game: Accepting the mission Kasin exits the village to go and find the camp with the
captured woman.
Game (outside the village): Continued tutorial of combat and movement. Kasin learns
about combat and moving in combat while fighting off some not-so-harmful wildlife as
he walks towards the camp.
Scripted Event: When you approach the camp Kasin sees it would be impossible to enter
in daylight. You wait until nightfall and enter the camp. Screen fades black and then back
in with Kasin ready to enter the camp.
Scripted Event: When you are far enough away from the camp with the prisoner being
carried on your shoulders you put her on the ground and untie her. While untying her you
notice markings on her face and left wrist and realize that she is Amaren.
Kasin
Amaren!? You’re Amaren? That bastard; hiring me to hunt one of my own.
Are you hurt? I have to get you away…
Kyri
I don’t know what you mean by calling my Amaren. My name is Kyri.
Should I be thanking you for taking me away or are you just here to cart
me off to some other nation’s prisoner?
Kasin
We don’t have time for this. Let my see your other arm. Are those, is your
last name Pasar?
Kyri
How do you know that?
Kasin
I’ll explain on the way. The village of Evian is close by and the Elder
Council happens to be there. I promise you they will answer your
questions, or at least hear them.
Game: They both set out on foot to the nearest Amaren village. Kyri is tired and the going
is slow as you must fend off any wildlife and help her with obstacles in your path.
Scripted Event: You can see your village in the distance, but the men who hired you to
kidnap Kyri have found you. They are upset that you backed out on the job and want her
handed over.
Game: You and Kyri fight together as you move closer to the village. You must get within
a certain distance until the thugs will turn heel and leave. The combat system feeds off of
both Kasin’s actions as well as Kyri’s actions. Ex: giving Kyri your bow and arrow she
says “Head them off, I’ll stay back here and take down what I can with this.” Or if you
give her a sword she will fight back to back with you allowing combos and tricks as you
fight. Combat is responsive to many factors, what weapons both characters are using, the
environment, and skills with the particular weapon they are wielding. As the pair enters
the village they are greeted warmly by people passing in the streets (scripted events).
Brining Kyri to the Council Hall Kasin presents Kyri Pasar, descendent of Celie Pasar,
last Queen of Amarra.
Elder Council, it is with great fortune that I find you here for I have
discovered something of great importance.
Elder Aeso
Speak Kasin, what is it that you have found to ask us to convene so
urgently?
Kasin
I have found a young woman by the name of Kyri. She has the ancestral
markings of the family Pasar.
Elder Aeso
Pasar!? Are you sure?
Kasin
Very.
Elder Nexil
You claim to find a woman whose ancestors once ruled the kingdom of
Amarra?
Kasin
I do!
Elder Sem’se
Bring her forth and we shall see.
Enter Kyri
Elder Nexil
Kasin
Kyri, please.
Kyri
By the…
Elder Aeso
Elder Nexil
Elder Aeso
It means! It means that the time has finally come to reunite the people of
Amarra.
Kyri
Elder Sem’se
Please, please. Kyri we ask for your patience as the Council discusses
what has transpired. We promise we will answer your questions soon.
Elder Aeso
Kyri please forgive us for confusing you earlier. The news of your life and
family history has, to say the least stirred things up.
Elder Sem’se
You are the heir to the now crumbled Amarran throne. We call ourselves
Amarens, first people of the old kingdom. Our people have hoped since
the beginning of these dark times that a member of a royal family would
emerge one day to unite the people and bring back the kingdom of
Amarra.
Kyri
Elder Aeso
We do not believe that this was prophecy but it was always the way the
kingdoms were ruled before, through bloodlines. You are the first noble
bloodline to emerge in three hundred years and we believe that now is the
time to finally begin healing the land and bring the people together.
Kyri
This is... a lot to take in. I wouldn't even know where to begin to unite all
of our people again. I don't even know our people.
Elder Nexil
As our Queen you can assemble the people of this land again, it is in your
blood. However, no one will believe us if we simply send messengers. The
plan is to gather all our people at the abandoned capitol city of Wey'Amarr
and its outlying lands. As I said no village council will believe a simple
messenger and it will take to much time for the Elders to travel to each
village and convince the people to pack up and move such a great
distance.
Elder Aeso
Elder Sem’se
Which is where you come in Kyri. We need you to travel to each village
carrying this letter of orders.
Kyri
Why me? You say a messenger alone couldn't convince a village to just
pack up and leave.
Elder Nexil
You must go to show you markings to the village. This will convince them
of the orders we have in the letter. The people will want to see and meet
our future Queen.
Kasin, due to Kyri’s inexperience with our people she will need a guide to
all the villages, a tutor to teach her our ways, and a guard to keep her safe.
A large company of people will draw attention and the longer we can keep
the world from knowing the better chance we will have. We appoint you to
accompany Kyri on this quest. The two of you alone should be capable of
getting this done.
Kasin
Just the two of us? She will have much to learn, and the world will know
of our plans once entire villages start disappearing.
Elder Aeso
We understand. But speed and small numbers are our best bet to see this
through. Our villages will be refuge in your travels, and since you are well
traveled yourself, I'm sure you have friends in other locations that will be
willing to help as well.
Elder Sem’se
The Council will help move this village to the capitol and begin rebuilding
the city. You must travel quickly, but if ever you need rest or council, seek
us out at Wey'Amarr.
Kasin
Elder Nexil
Kasin and Kyri must first complete a series of missions in the village of Evian to help the
Elder Council and the people of the village to move. After Evian is completed the order
in which the rest of the villages are helped doesn’t matter. After completing four of the
six villages Act II will end and Act III will start. The last two villages will be completed
in Act III. At anytime in Act II the capitol city of Wey’Amarr can be visited after Village
Evian is completed.
The Villages:
Village Evian:
Gameplay: Starting their campaign in Evian the pair are first asked to help with trouble
from the nearby village Sa’Gram where Kasin first started this journey. The town owes
the village of Evian a great deal of money and supplies and the Elders know they have
the means to pay them back but the local Lord is keeping it to himself. Kasin and Kyri
first attempt to negotiate with the Lord and agree to handle a few problems that the Lord
has with a group of criminals in the village. The whole time Kasin is arguing that they
shouldn’t do this for the Lord; they are being used and should just force the Lord of
Sa’Gram to hand over the money. Kyri argues right back and Kasin comments on how
their getting off to a great start already. After completing the quest to round up and
arrest/kill the criminals they ask for the money but are denied and attacked. The only
resolution left is to take the manor by force to allow Amaren’s entry and retrieval of the
money owed to them.
Gameplay: To help with the move the people of Evian will need oxen and horses to help
pull carts and wagons. With their horses Kasin and Kyri set out to the grazing fields to
round up the amount of livestock needed. They have the choice of either having Kasin
ride around with the rope and Kyri to round them closer together or vice versa or both
can just ride around and use ropes to get the horses and oxen.
Gameplay: A family has lost their twin boy and girl. This quest is optional but to gain
relation points with both the people and between Kasin and Kyri this is a good quest to
do it.
Capitol Wey’Amarr
Scripted Events: Each time Kasin and Kyri enter the capitol they are greeted warmly by
the NPC’s that they pass. The city itself is, a city; there is noise from the crowds in the
streets, shopkeepers yell out their wares and prices, and entertainers fill the streets. By
proximity Kasin and Kyre are greeted, asked how they are fairing in their mission, and
asked to stop by the shop/inn/house/etc out of common courtesy. Also as each village is
completed the city itself will grow in population and begin looking in better repair. By the
end of the game the city will be filled up people and look completely rebuilt; a beacon of
light and civilization.
Gameplay: The quests in the capitol are always optional but strongly encouraged. This
will help with the standing Kasin and Kyri have with the people as well as develop a
Village Lauseo
No quests drawn up at this time. Gameplay will vary depending on the geographical
location. The gameplay should be dynamic and different between each village; it
shouldn’t feel like the “Tread-Mill” gameplay that an MMO gives.
Village Amnes
No quests drawn up at this time. Gameplay will vary depending on the geographical
location. The gameplay should be dynamic and different between each village; it
shouldn’t feel like the “Tread-Mill” gameplay that an MMO gives.
Village Caelus
Scripted Event: Upon first entering the village Kasin and Kyri both head straight to the
Village Council with the orders from the Elder Council. Seeing Kyri’s mark and the letter
of orders the Council agrees that the time has finally come to leave the darkness, but they
will need help with a few matters.
Gameplay: There is a problem local wildlife that is threatening the livestock and people.
Kasin and Kyri go and hunt these animals down so the townsfolk can focus on packing.
Gameplay: There is a local bandit camp that has taken a good deal of supplies up one of
the mountain paths. Retrieving these supplies is necessary for the village. Upon getting to
the bandit camp Kasin and Kyri can attack several ways: head on, one sneaking about
while the other picks people off using a bow and arrow, or both sneaking around. The
objective is to destroy the camp except for the tents with supplies. To help with this it is
also mandatory to kill the bandit leader before he can rally the others to a defense.
Gameplay: The outlying families who worked the mines haven’t been seen in a while.
When Kasin and Kyri go to investigate there are signs of combat and struggle with tracks
leading back into the cave. Entering the cave they both find it is crawling with thieves.
They can choose to run in and fight or to sneak around, but one way or another the
families must be found and rescued. Finding the prisoners Kasin and Kyri escort them out
of the caves. Upon exiting the caves an alarm is sounded and the people in the caves
come running out to retake the prisoners. Having the families run ahead Kasin and Kyri
stay behind to give them time to escape.
Gameplay: The roads are too dangerous for the caravan to pass though alone. Kasin and
Kyri are in charge of escorting the train of wagons and families to a certain point in the
mountains and then they can go their own way. While escorting the caravan it is attacked
from each direction periodically. Once the waypoint is reached the caravan travels on and
Kasin and Kyre can choose their next village to travel to.
Scripted Event: After being greeted warmly Kasin’s parents offer them both Kasin’s old
room to live in. there aren’t any spare rooms so the two will have to share. Kasin is
describing the situation to his parents and then heads to his room to get some sleep. Upon
entering the room Kyri is standing there nude facing him (there is no shown nudity; the
most that is shown is bare legs and Kyri’s back). The camera angle is above Kasin’s left
shoulder looking on at Kyri’s horrified face. Then Kasin exits the room promptly and the
camera first shows Kyi’s face of embarrassment as she quickly puts on her smallclothes
for bed and then Kasin’s face showing first red cheeks then a look of wonder and
amazement.
Gameplay: This town will present more personal background into Kasin and his past.
This is the first time he’s been home since he left so he’s a little on edge.
Village Monsel
End of Act II
Cut Scene:
This triggers after completed four villages. After selecting the next village to travel to
Kasin and Kyri are stopped on their way and ambushed. Kasin is able to fight them off
but loses track of Kyri in the process. When the attackers are gone Kasin finds that so is
Kyri. A feeling of confusion, loneliness, and rage fills Kasin
Camera shows Kasin in the same location as the first cut scene examining the ground.
Kasin
I remember how it began. And now I’ve lost my way. I’ve lost her. There
were so many waiting for us, so many counting on us.
Camera shows snippets of the ambush showing Kasin and Kyri fighting desperately to
stay alive. Kyri is overwhelmed and knocked unconscious. It takes a few seconds until
Kasin realizes that Kyri isn’t there anymore.
Kasin
My people can’t bear to lose her. I can’t lose her. I will find her and
together we will bring our people home.
Kasin
I have found you at last. I will bring you out of there, no matter what the
cost.
Gameplay: Just entering the city Kasin knows he must find a safe house; a place to stay,
rest, gather supplies and information, and plan Kyri’s escape. Upon finding an adequate
safe house Kasin roams the city looking for information. By doing quests for
“questionable” folk Kasin gathers supplies needed to enter the Keep and has also
discovered the whereabouts of Kyri.
Scripted Events: Heabun, being the opposite of Wey’Amarr in so many ways, has the
opposite proximity events as Wey’Amarr does. This city is dark and quiet. Shopkeepers
will yell out sales but everyone walking in the streets is closed in, looking around as if
expecting to be killed, or preparing to kill. The city is, in perspective, the lack of
happiness and light.
Quest 1: Find a Safe House; there will be a few locations on the map that the player can
choose from.
Quest 2: Talk to land lord/inn keeper to see who to talk to who knows a lot of the city.
Quest 3: Finding a “gang/mob” of the city Kasin works for them while gathering bits of
information and supplies to infiltrate a dungeon.
Quest 4: Working as a “street shark” gathering payments and the like from people. It is
apparent to the player that Kasin has stooped very low; his very character looks dark and
evil as time passes in the city.
Quest 5: Finding a ray of hope Kasin has found out that Kyri is located in the Keep, but
not in the dungeon. It appears the Lords of Heabun are keeping her in the royal sector of
the Keep, arrogant in believing that no one will come for her.
Quest 6: Entering the Keep. This is similar to when Kasin had to enter the camp in the
beginning of the game. Stealth is key to completing this mission.
Quest 7: Sabotage. Entering the Keep there are four steps to of sabotage to complete to
distract the guards and guarantee escape. First Kasin makes his way up to the main gate
Quest 8: Rescue. While the guards are busy putting out the fire Kasin is making his way
to the royal quarters of the Keep. Upon entering this section Kasin is discovered and must
fight his way through guards, finding Kyri in the courtyard with two escorts. Fighting and
killing these two Jailors brings the pair back together.
Scripted Event: Kasin, after killing the Jailors runs up and kisses Kyri claiming to never
let her go again. Surprised and now somewhat flustered Kyri is all smiles and says how
they aren’t out of trouble yet. But before Kyri can get another work in edgewise Kasin is
kissing her again, proclaiming he can’t bear to lose her again and that he regrets waiting
till now to express himself. Kyri sill appearing out of breath kisses him back and says that
they will have plenty of time together after they get out of the city. Handing Kyri a small
bundle of weapons they prepare to leave the Keep.
Quest 9: Run Like Hell. The remaining quest in the Keep is to get back to the rope latter
stashed away in one of the guard towers. Fighting their way to the tower Kasin throws the
latter over the wall and asks Kyri for her bow and one arrow. Wrapping it in a shred of
cloth and lighting it on fire Kasin fires it at the small barrel in the courtyard. Upon impact
the barrel explodes and the two head over the wall running to Kasin’s safe house.
Quest 10: Let’s Blow this Joint. Spending a brief time telling each other what they went
through until the rescue while walking towards the city walls guards appear in the streets.
However, the townspeople take the fighting between Kasin and Kyri against the guards as
a spark to begin rioting in the streets. Using the riot as a cover Kasin and Kyri fight their
way to the gate and leave the city.
Gameplay: whichever two villages are left at this point will be the end of Act III. Once
both villages are completed the only option left will to return to Wey’Amarr.
Scripted Events: As stated before in Act II whenever Kasin and Kyri are in Wey’Amarr
and are in proximity of NPC’s they are greeted kindly, waved to, asked how they are
fairing, or even asked to stop by somewhere when they have time to. The sounds of city
life grow as the city is filled with more people as Kasin and Kyri bring more villages to
the capitol. Shopkeepers are yelling out to attract customers, and there is a constant
murmur from the crowds as they walk the streets. Being the end of the game the Elder
Council, now slightly larger to accommodate the large population, comes to greet both of
them and congratulate them on success. However, there are still a few things to be taken
care of before the Ascension ceremony can take place.
Gameplay: Kasin and his small unit are ordered to patrol the outlying lands. Most likely
the nations of this continent know of their plans and at least a few probably do not agree
with the Amarens. On patrol they come across small parties of scouts and combat ensues.
Gamplay: Traveling a little further from the city Kasin and his unit comes across an army
camped only a days march from the city. Fighting off the scouts they run back and inform
the Elders of the imminent battle.
Scripted Event: Kyri gives a speech to rally the people to defend their new home.
Although they have just arrived and have just begun their new lives they all knew that
this would come. Assembling the army the camera pans through different short scenes of
