TITLE: MODULE FOR WHERE THE FROG CAME FROM.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson the learners are expected to:
1. identify the frog;
2. tell the importance of the frog to the learners ;
3. draw a frog.

II. Motivational Question


Why does the frog like to stay in the water? Read the story and find out.
III. Text/Selection
TITLE: WHERE THE FROG CAME FROM
Once upon a time, there was a little boy who lived in the mountain. His house was near
a river. The little boy loved the water very much. He enjoyed playing in the water every
day. When he was tired, he drank the clean and cool water of the river. He took care of
the river. He would not let other children play in the river. He was afraid they would
make the water dirty.

One day, there were five hunters. The first hunter went to get water from the river. He
needed water for cooking. The boy threw a stone at the hunter Go away! he cried.

The next morning, the second hunter went to the river to take a bath. The boy drove him
away. When the other hunters also tried to get near the river, he also threw stones at
them. This is my river! he shouted.

One morning, an old beggar came. When she passed by the river she said, Little boy,
please give me a little water.
But the little boy cried, No! pushing the beggar. You will make the river dirty.
The old beggar looked at a little boy. She was angry and said, Because you are selfish,
the water will be your home.

After a while, the little boy turned into a frog. His voice also changed Ko_ kak __ ko__
kak __ ko__kak.

Forgive me, forgive me, forgive me, the frog croaked. But it was too late. The old
beggar was gone.
