SECTION 5: GETTING TO KNOW YOU

1. What do you consider your strongest personal asset? Why?
I think my strongest personal asset is my work ethic. I try really hard not to give up until something is
completely over and I put 100% effort in what I do until the end.
2. What is your biggest weakness? Why?
I think my biggest weakness is procrastinating. I can get so many things done before they need to be turned in,
but I usually wait until the last minute to do everything. While I think this can sometimes be good, this could
save me a lot of time.
3. What three adjectives best describe you?
A. Trustworthy
B. Hardworking
C. Funny
4. List three teachers, mentors, or coaches who would speak highly of you.
A. Laurel Andrews
B. Shaun Bock
C. Kelsey Agar

5. Identify some things you would like for someone writing a recommendation to know about you?
(Hardships you have overcome; accomplishments youre particularly proud of, ect.)
Some things I would like for someone to include when writing a recommendation about me would be how
bright I am, my work ethic, and being organized and on time.
6. Is there anything unusual or unique about your familycultural background, traditions, shared
interests and activities, family size and your place in order of the children, travel, crises, etc.that has
had a significant impact on you?
The only big thing about my family is that my dads side is from Italy. This has interested me and Ive done
some research, but it has also made me want to travel to Italy one day and enjoy certain customs like their food
7. What are your hobbies or interests outside of school? Explain why.
Outside of school, I love sports. Sports are fun to watch and play in, and I can only name a few that I dont like.
I also like playing video games, because they really give you experiences of things that you may not be able to
actually do.
8. List at least two of your academic strengths and give at least one example. (Be specifici.e., problem
solving, writing, creative thinking. Do not just list your strong subject areas.)
Two of my academic strengths would be writing and listening. I think that Im a very good listener and I can
pick up on things while staying engaged. I also enjoy writing and can give lots of detail to certain subjects, and
my teachers would say the same.
9. What are your proudest personal and academic accomplishments during high school?
Personal:
Academic:
10. Have you met with your counselor at MHS? Do they know who you are? Would they remember you?
I met with my counselor in November about my classes next semester and next year. Mrs. Elwell got to know
me and what I want to do, and she was very helpful with determining what classes were best for me. I think
shed remember me because I feel like she remembers everyone.
