Activity Intolerance

M.T. presented with activity intolerance and inability to perform ADLs unassisted related to low potassium levels. The nursing care plan aimed to (1) have M.T. perform simple ADLs unassisted after 2-3 hours of intervention, (2) monitor potassium levels and adjust activities to prevent overexertion, and (3) administer IV and oral potassium supplements as prescribed to replenish lost electrolytes and promote functional improvement. The initial goal of independent ADL performance was only partially met after intervention.
