I have completed a 450-hour internship for my Bachelor of Social Work with this agency. I
believe in the prevention, intervention, and treatment that this organization offers to those who
have been touched by family violence and continue to volunteer.
             Crisis Line  providing services and referrals to those who have been victimized.
              Using the Lethality Assessment Program (LAP) to screen high danger clients,
              both self-initiated and through Participating Police Departments.
             Emergency Shelter  Conduct intake for new clients. Help families get settled
              within the shelter and provide reassurance while using a strength-based
              perspective at all times.
            Proud Parenting program  participated in training and shadowed group therapy.
            Speakers Bureau  support presenters and participate in tabling events
             throughout the county.
            Domestic Violence Peer Counseling Certification  achieved through STAND!

I volunteered one evening per month, serving dinner to families in need of a hot meal and a
warm and friendly atmosphere to socialize.

I volunteered with the youth group which consisted mainly of taking care of the less fortunate
within the community. This was done by not only serving hot meals, but participating in the
organization of food collection from local residents as well.
               Advocates Against Family Violence (AAFV)  Caldwell, ID             2014
This experience involved contacting bakeries around the Treasure Valley and asking them to
donate desserts to be auctioned off at the AAFV fund raising Masquerade Ball. This also
involved coordinating delivery or in most cases, pickup on the day of the Ball.
