Inception: CVR College of Engineering was found in the year 2001 with

JNTU(H) affiliation by Cherabuddi Education Society, leading NRI technology


professionals and well-known academicians of the twin states of Telangana &
Andhra Pradesh; aims at creating a state-of-the-art engineering institution to
harness technical excellence with a commitment to the ethos of 'useful learning'.

Autonomous Institution: Granted autonomous status by the JNTUH from 2011-


14 and UGC from 2014-20. We have set a record by getting this status in the
shortest time (less than 12.5 years since the establishment) among the 300+

NAAC 'A' Grade, NBA Accredited for 4 UG programs under Tier-1:

Accredited by NAAC with 'A' Grade from 2016 to 2021.

Also accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) in Tier-1 for


four of its UG programs - CSE, ECE, EEE and EIE for a period of 2
years from July 2016 to July 2018.

This is the only college that got accredited thrice among all colleges in
the state of Telangana that are younger than 15 years old

CVR signed MoUs with BHEL, ECIL, DRDO and NRSC, UGC &
AICTE; and approx. Rs.50 lakhs have been received so far as grants.

MHRD/NIRF: Ranked in the 101-150 rank group in 2107 release: CVR is


rated among the top 4 private engineering colleges in Telangana:

PEGA CoE in association with VirtusaPolaris: PEGA Center of Excellence is


set up in our college and has software and portal access to deliver the training by
Pega experts as well as in-house trainers. Classroom based 30 Hrs training on
Business Process Management; Process Oriented Improvement Programs;
Business Process Design; Basic Tools for Process Design; Managing Process
Flows; and 30 Hrs of Theory on Case Management; Process Modeling; User
Interface; Data Properties & Business Rules; Declarative Processing;
Correspondence; Integration and 30 Hours of Lab.

Mitsubishi Electric India (MEI) has set up a state-of-the-art factory automation


training laboratory that will help students of EEE, ECE and EIE courses to
understand the emerging technologies in the related fields and learn them in the
campus itself.

E-box Product Development Training: 50-hrs of training by Amphisoft


Technologies making students ready for Product Development companies and
Coding Competitions. Focusing on Problem Solving; Logical Thinking;
Algorithm Analysis; Algorithmic Thinking and Strategizing; Programming Skills
in C; Data Structures; Object Oriented Design Thinking; Programming in Java;

MissionRnD Association: Mission R&D (founded by ex-Microsoft leaders) is an


innovative initiative with the mission to Contribute to the growth of Indias R&D
ecosystem by developing the most promising technology students, especially
women, and by supporting the talent needs of product companies including start-
ups (Training Modules: Professional Programming Python Course; C & Advanced
C Course; Backend-Development using NodeJS).
Smart India Hackathon17 at CVR: The 36-hour National Level Programming
Contest Grand Finale was held on 1st & 2nd April 2017 at 26 nodal centers across
India simultaneously. CVR was chosen for Telangana region. Winners got a
chance to be part of the NASSCOMs 10,000 Startups program.
Campus Placements 2017 batch : Total 590+ placements; highest offer 16L for 10
students and more than 20 students got offers higher than 10L package; about 170
offers higher than 4L. Average salary of Rs. 3.90L is the second highest in the
state. The first highest (Rs. 4.00L) is for a college that is about 40 years old.
