I.C. Engines QP-1

The document contains questions about engine cycles, components, and performance metrics. It asks the reader to draw and compare diesel and dual cycles, discuss differences between CI and SI engines, explain the significance of firing order, and compare CI and SI engine construction. Further questions explore two-stroke vs four-stroke engines, valve and port timing diagrams, definitions and calculations of engine metrics, piston component materials and construction, cylinder head and block construction, and four-stroke engine operation. The final questions derive the efficiency of an air standard diesel cycle and perform calculations for work output and efficiency of a six-cylinder engine running on the dual cycle.
