       Title:           Mastering punctuation
   Grade Level:         Third Grade
                        An hour on Monday for commas, then Tuesday through
 Length of Lesson:      Thursday spend 45 minutes in groups at one station per day,
                        then Friday spend an hour doing a review
                        Students use commas in addresses, sentences, and dates

                        correctly through demonstration on exit slip.

Required Materials:     Pencil and paper, computers, white boards

  Grabber/Hook:         Lets eat, Grandma.
                        Commas save lives
    Procedure:              1) Open power point and start with hook
                            2) Go to slide with 5 examples, have teacher explain the
                                first one, then do the second one, and then have the
                                students do the last three on the board
                            3) Set students into groups of 3-6 and assign them to a
                                station and have them rotate every day
                                     a) Group 1: computer activity
                                     b) Group 2: white board station with incorrect
                                        sentence that needs to be fixed
                                     c) Group 3: write a practice sentence using correct
                                        grammar
                                     d) Group 4: use grammar work
                            4) Pull up the next slide with a new example of a sentence,
