Dear Sir,

Application for the post of General Manager

I wish to apply for the position of General Manager as advertised recently in The Star Newspaper
on 26 February 2017.

The job description that you have specified for this position suits my interest and qualification. I
gained valuable experience while working at the Arkitek Urus Bina Sdn. Bhd. which that the
place was my internship and I continued to work there. Mostly, the company runs most of the
housing project in Malaysia and I was given a project for the orphanage in Melaka and with my
senior architect advice, the project was successful. When I finished my Master and started my
PhD, I continued to gain my experience in working when I started to work at the ZONE
Architecture as Assistant Manager in the company. I also handled big project such as structured
housing project at Ipoh and the overall project is fully implemented by me. It was a successful
project and the progress was good and no major problem.

My involvement in extra-curricular activities at the university has strengthened my interpersonal


skills, which gave me insight into how I can work with all kinds of people. I also have developed
leadership and confidence through my position in the University Debate Club which I was
president of the club in 2005 and 2006. My leadership skills was strenghthened when I handled
the project at Ipoh. Plus, I also possess the Malay and English language fluently.

I obtained a PhD in Engineering from International Islamic University Malaysia in 2015 and a
Master in Engineering from The University of Auckland in 2012 where both of it was strengthen
my knowledge and experience in engineering. I also graduated with a certificate of completion in
Bachelor of Engineering with Honour (Civil and Structural Engineering) from University of
Canterbury in 2011 and I also have a good communicative skill and able to interact with people of
any level. I am sure that that my educational background together with my experience and
enthusiasm would be extremely relevant to this position and your company.

I have attached my resume for you reference which contains detailed descriptions of my skills,
experience and qualifications. I look forward to attending an interview at your convenience.
