Dear Sir/ Madam

Subject: Confirmation-cum-undertaking to pay Customs duty, Octroi, statutory & other


Processing charges
Reference: DHL AWB No. 4495921835

I/We, on behalf of M/s China Steel Corporation India Pvt Ltd, hereby promise and undertake to
pay M/s DHL Express (India) Pvt. Ltd (herein after referred to as ‘DHL’) who are authorized for
carriage and related activities including but not restricted to arranging for Customs clearance on
my/our behalf, the sum of Rs 60159/- (In words Indian Rupees Sixty Thousand One hundred Fifty
Nine), (hereinafter referred as ‘Statutory Charges’) which is the approximate charge/s expected to
be charged as Customs duty, Octroi, or any other statutory charge with reference to the shipment
arrived vide above AWB number/s.

I/We understand and are made aware that the Statutory Charges informed is an estimated amount
and further agree that there is a possibility of the Statutory Charges being enhanced or reduced
subject to the assessment done by Indian Customs.

In addition to above, we further agree to pay DHL a duty handling fees at the rate of 2.5% or INR
500 whichever is higher of the Statutory Charges.

I/We accordingly confirm to pay the exact amount due as per the invoice raised by DHL towards
the Statutory Charges. This undertaking is over and above the standard agreement with/of DHL
and will not be adjusted with any other invoice raised by DHL.
