Oatey PTFE White Thread Seal Tape

Oatey White Thread Seal Tape with PTFE provides a clean, positive seal for threaded pipe connections. It can be used on plastic, brass, copper, aluminum, galvanized steel or black iron piping. The tape is made of virgin PTFE and can withstand temperatures from -450°F to 500°F and pressures up to 10,000 psi. It has an indefinite shelf life and comes in widths of 1/2" or 3/4" on spools of 260' or 520' length.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION: Oatey White Thread Seal Tape with Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) provides a clean, positive
seal on threaded connections. White Thread Seal Tape is an all purpose thread sealing tape and can be used with plastic,
brass, copper, aluminum, galvanized steel or black iron piping.

COMMON APPLICATIONS
Oatey White Thread Seal Tape with PTFE can be used on
plastic, brass, copper, aluminum, galvanized steel or
black iron piping.

NOT FOR USE WITH LINES CARRYING OXYGEN.

INGREDIENT
Virgin PTFE

Density 0.709 to 0.825 g/c3 OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1200(c).

*Pressure rating is relative to the torque and quality of the threads
and the amount of tape used.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE


For threads up to 1-½” diameter, use ½” width of thread
seal tape. For larger diameter threads, use ¾” width of
thread seal tape. Clean the male and female threads of
any oil or dirt. Apply the thread seal tape a minimum of
three wraps, using care to wrap in the direction of the
thread rotation. Be sure to keep tension on the tape while
wrapping. Do not overlap the tape on the ends of the
fitting.

PRECAUTIONS
Read all cautions and directions carefully before using this
product. Store spool in clean place and keep cover on the
spool when not in use.
