VERTICAL RESCUE
Rescue and Evacuation from Heights
This course is designed to provide;
- A comprehensive understanding of the correct
selection, inspection, use and maintenance of
equipent used for verical rescue.
- A thorough understanding of rope rescue
techniques including anchor selection and setup,
equipment rigging, setup of mechanical advantage
systems and rescue stretcher applications.
- Knowledge and skills necessary for post fall risk
assessment and control, casualty management and
first aid procedures necessary for vertical rescue
activities.
TRAINING OUTCOMES
All sucessful candidates will recieve a Statement of
Attainment and personalised ID card as proof of
their qualification;
- PUAOHS001C Follow defined occupational
health and safety policies and procedures
- PUASAR022A Participate in a rescue operation
- PUASAR032A - Undertake vertical rescue
PRE-REQUISITES
RIIWHS204D Work Safely at Heights;
PUAEME001B Provide Emergency Care; or
Current First Aid/CPR Certification
