of each heart and the embellishment was a flower constructed
from two large, two medium and one small piece as shown on the
pattern, embossed, layered and decorated with gold glitter.

Cut Poinsettia patterns
To
— Use scissors or a sharp craft knife to cut out
the box, cutting down the dashed lines to
form tabs. 1x green
— Cut out the four pieces for the poinsettia 1x red
embellishment and then layer them up.

Finishing
— Fold all of the fold lines and fold in the side
sections securing them with the top tab.
(e.g. side sections marked ‘A’ secured with
tab A)
— Run a very small amount of glue along the 2x red
fold line of the tab before folding it down.
— Cut a piece of card stock to fit in the base of

— Paint a thin layer of clear nail varnish on
the holly leaves and berries and to the
poinsettia finishing off the latter with a
central gem.
— Add the complete poinsettia to the centre
of the lid and using a small piece of thin

— Trace the three sides of the two rectangles
and the semi-circle around the figure with a
sharp white pencil.

Grid work
— Secure your parchment to Multi Grid No. 28
and firstly complete all of the embossing as
shown in red on the pattern with your Small
Ball embossing tool.
— Leaving the parchment attached to the
grid, flip it over and complete all of the
perforating (shown in black) with your One
Needle perforating tool.
— Change to Multi Grid No. 14 and emboss all
of the flower shapes.

Perforate
— Use your Two Needle perforating tool
to perforate around the semi-circle as
indicated on the pattern.

Emboss
— Use your Ball and Shader tools of choice
to whiten the embossing (on the reverse)
created from the Multi Grids.
— Erase any visible pencil lines.

Colour
— Place your parchment back on the pattern
and working on the front of the parchment
use your Faber-Castell polychromos pencils
to colour in the figure.

 — Use brown ochre and Venetian red for the
headband.
— Colour the flower of the headband with
pink carmine and burnt umber.
— Apply Venetian red, Indian red and burnt
umber for the hair.
— Colour the skin with pale geranium lake,
pink carmine and the bottom edge with
Indian red.
— Use burnt umber to colour the eyebrows,
eyes and the edge of her elbow.
— Colour the lips with pink carmine.
— Use sky blue and a little burnt umber for the
folds on her tunic.
— Colour the drape on her arm with a mixture
of brown ochre and Indian red.
— Apply pink carmine, brown ochre and
Indian red for the top of the drape and
colour the bottom with brown ochre, cobalt
turquoise and burnt umber for folds.
— Colour the dress with pink carmine and
Indian red.
— Use cobalt turquoise and brown ochre to
colour the leaves.
— Use pale geranium lake, pink carmine and
brown ochre to colour the flowers and add
fine lines of burnt umber to the edge of the
leaves and to the heart of the flowers.

Dorse
— With cobalt turquoise, dorse the border of
the central design.

Cut
— Use scissors or snips to cut out the grid
work and between the semi-circle and
flowers.

Finishing
— Cut a piece of plain white paper to the same
size as the centre design and secure to the
parchment with dabs of Perga Glue.
— Attach to a piece of orange card with Perga
Glue.
