Materials needed:
none

Procedure:
Anticipatory Set Instructional Input (Modeling Check for Understanding Practice) Closure

A.S:

1. Ask kids about different voices and what they sound like.
2. Sing boom chika boom
- I said a Boom Chicka Boom
I said a Boom Chicka Boom
I said a Boom Chicka Rocka Chicka Rocka Chicka Boom
Uh huh
Oh yeah
One more time ______ style.
3. Teach kids in repeat after me style
4. Change styles of singing it
5. Sing like a _________ demonstrate and have them try before starting
the song
- Baby style – high but quiet
Grandpa style - with lips wrapped over teeth
Frankenstein style – voice low
Opera Singer – high pitch
Underwater - wiggle finger over lips
6. After the song is learned well add on movemnets.
- Boom = clap
- Chicka = head tap
- Rocka = rock back and forth

Closure:
Educational Objective: By the end of this lesson, students will have learned different
pitches of singing from low (grandpa style) to high (opera style)
