Name:

Duncan Loughrey

Type:

Duncan Loughrey takes picture of food.

Photographs used in:

Between shoots Duncan finds time to work on personal projects. He takes inspiration from
the abstract and graphic qualities of 20th century still life artists with things such as William
Scott, Ben Nicholson and Ewan Uglow.

Photographs I like:

I like the lighting and the glow that contrasts with the inner of the melon.
I like the background and how it is in shallow depth of field which makes the food and glass look
more high definition.

I like how it isn’t a fully completed dish and how it has been taken from a birds eye view. I think that
the basic colours work well also.
I like how he has two of the bowls and that he uses blunt colours against the orange.

I like how the lemons are facing away from each other and how they are layered.
