1. SPECIFICATION
1.1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This sound powered telephone requires no power supply as it is called in its name and is
capable of calling and making mutual conversation.
For the conversation the speech energy received from the transmitter microphone is
converted into the electrical energy and there converted again into the speech signal after
reaching the handset of the mate telephone set through the on-board wiring.
1.2 OPERATING
The sound powered telephone can be classified into various system in accordance with
application purpose, namely the direct system, master/slave system and selection system.
CAUTION
Quickly rotate the handle of the magnet generator incorporated to the telephone set in such
a manner as slightly pulling forward.
If it is rotated in the manner as being pushed, no output can be obtained from the magnet
generator.
1.2.1 Direct System
Calling
a) Lift the handset.
b) Quickly rotate the handle of magnetic generator for calling the desired party.
c) Communication.
Answering
a) Bell rings and lamp lights.
b) Lift the handset.
c) Communication.
1.2.2 Master and Slave System
Calling
Master Telephone set
a) Lift the handset.
b) Select a slave station by means of the selection switch.
c) Quickly rotate the handle of magnet generator for calling slave station.
d) Communication.
Slave Telephone set.
a) Same as item 1.2.1. Calling.
Answering
a) Same as item 1.2.1.Answering for both master and slave telephone sets.
1.2.3 Selection System
When a couple of parties are in communication, other parties cannot make
communication because they are disturbed to each other.
Calling
a) Lift the handset and confirm no communication is performed by other parties.
b) Select a desired slave station by means of the selection switch.
c) Quickly rotate the handle of magnet generator for calling slave station.
Answering
a) Same as item 1.2.1.Answering.

Connection between telephones sets can be made as indicated below in accordance with
each system.
