This survey serves as a reference to provide
a better plan or perspective for the laundry business industry here in GenSan. The survey was done by
personally asking the staff on the said shops or providing some questionnaires. It is divided by
categories:

The Result shows that 70% offers dry-cleaning, 4%(Pick up services), 52%(Wash Dry Press), 48%(Wash
Dry Hand), 35%(Wash&Fold), 52%(Wash Only), 48%(Dry Only), 30%(Press only), 9%(Self Service)

Services
Laundry shops are focusing more on dry cleaning more than the other services. The reason behind this is
it lessen the work for washing and usage of water. The cleaning fluid that is used is a liquid, and all
garments are immersed and cleaned in a liquid solvent -- the fact that there is no water is why the
process is called "dry." But they still offer the traditional ways like hand washing and the usage of water
because some customer prefer that way.

Service is the main reason why the customer chooses their shops, as shown in the result of the survey,
they were all convinced that the reason is their services offered, customer satisfaction with the service
rendered is the main focus of laundry business. Next to it is the price, customer usually checks the price
first if it is appropriate for the service rendered. Good pricing makes the customer choose the shop.
Location can be a great factor, for the reason that some shop are lucky to have a location that would
cover a large range of target customer and some shops are not. The least of the 4 is the convenience,
customers don’t stay in laundry shops that long unless they offer some services(coffees, wifi) that would
make the customers stay longer, only few shops offer this kinds of services.
