Job Title: Unit Staff Nurse
Job Description:
Plans and gives comprehensive quality care to patients according to their individual needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
                   • observes, assess, reports, and records symptoms and conditions of patients
                   • administers medication treatments and other procedures and observes patient to the
                       procedures
                   • feed patients through Nasogastric Tube and Total Parenteral Nutrition
                   • supervices the care given by the nursing auxillaries
                   • participates in providing for the spiritual welfare of patients
                   • assists physician in administering highly specialized therapy and perfoming
                       complicated procedures
                   • assists in patient education, rehabilitation including physical and mental health
                   • participate in the activities of the Nursing Service Department
                   • cooperate with the charge nurse in promoting and maintaining a clean, orderly
                       environment conducive to the optimum comfort and safety of the patient
                   • prepare patients physically for treatments, operations and diagnostic studies
Job Title: OR Scrub Nurse
Job Description:
Responsible for the smooth functioning of nursing activities during the surgical procedure.
Duties & Responsibilities:
                  • know thoroughly the particular surgical procedure & gathers all equipment for the
                      procedure, preparing all supplies and instruments & setting up the sterile tables
                  • anticipate the surgeon’s needs and efficiently carry out instructions & maintaining
                      sterility within the sterile field during surgery
                  • As the surgical incision is closed, the scrub nurse counts all needles, sponges, and
                      instruments to be sure they are accounted for and not retained as a foreign body in
                      the patient.
Job Title: OR Circulating Nurse
Job Description:
Manages the operating room and protects the patient’s safety and health by monitoring the activities of the
surgical team and checking the OR conditions and continually assessing the patient for signs of injury and
implementing appropriate interventions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
                • Verifying consent, coordinating the team, and ensuring cleanliness, humidity, and
                     lighting of the OR, as well as, the safety functioning of equipment and availability of
                     supplies and materials
                • moving & ensuring safe transfort of the client to the operating room, then to recovery
                     room and back to the ward .
                • manages the operating room and protects the safety and health needs of the patient
                •     monitoring the activities of the members of the surgical team and the conditions in
                     the operating room
                • Monitors aseptic practices to avoid breaks in technique while coordinating the

Job Description:
Monitor the client’s overall condition after the surgery
                  •    Ensuring maintenance of patent airway and adequate respiratory function post
                       operatively
                  •     Proper positioning of a sedated, unconscious or semiconscious patient
                  •    Monitoring blood pressure, pulse and respirations on arrival to the unit then every 15
                       minutes for the 1st hour,every 30 mins. for the next 2hours until stable.
                  •    Monitoring and assessing for return of consciousness, sensation and motion
                       postoperatively
                  •    Assessing for normothermia, perfusion and surgical site
                  •    Promoting fluid and electrolyte balance by assessing intake and output hourly &
                       documenting the amount and compare it with the amount of input via IV fluids.
