Step 1: I got out the tools and
then I started to cut the plaster
  board. Step 2: I half-filled a bucket with
water, and slowly added the plaster,
                                            carefully following the manufacturer's
                                            instructions.
Step 3: I used a power stirrer to mix
the plaster. I submerged the stirrer
before starting the stirrer and used it
at a low speed. Step 4: I kept adding plaster and
mixed until it had a creamy
consistency. I ran a trowel around the
                                            edge of the bucket.
Step 5: I poured the plaster onto a
board. It should be thick enough to
spread evenly over the board without
running over the edge.
Step 6: I used a trowel to cut away a
section of the mixed plaster, and
transferred it to a hawk. I used a small
amount at first to get used to handling the
                                            hawk.

Step 7: I held the hawk in front of the
wall and cut away a section of plaster,
using the plastering trowel. I then
pushed the plaster up and onto the wall Step 8: I spread the plaster across the
surface. wall surface, pressing firmly and
distributing it as evenly as possible. I
worked from the top of the wall to the
bottom, in broad, vertical and horizontal
strokes. I tried to work quickly so the
                                            plaster would not dry first.
Step 9: I continued to add more plaster,
building up a rhythm of loading the hawk
and transferring the plaster to the wall
surface. Once the surface was covered, I
went back over it, smoothing the plaster
 to an even thickness.
Step 10: I left the plaster to dry for
another half hour, until it is harder. I
then packed away my tools and
                                            cleaned up. The surface was
                                            finished.
