How to Make Your Own Bubblegum

Materials Needed
 Microwave-safe Bowl
 popsicle stick
 Parchment Paper or Waxed Paper
 Rolling Pin
 1/3 cup of Chicle (gum pellets)
 1 tbsp of powdered flavor (Kool-Aid or other type of flavoring)
 2 tablespoons of corn syrup
 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

Directions – First, wash your hands.

 1. Put ½ cup of powdered sugar on the waxed paper


and make a hole in the middle.

 2. Add chicle pellets and corn syrup to a microwavable bowl.

 3. Microwave for 10-20 seconds on high, then stir, until


fully melted. *This step is for a grownup, as the mixture
gets very hot.

 4. Carefully pour the mixture into the powdered sugar


and combine using the popsicle stick.

 8. Add the powdered flavoring and continue mixing. When the


mixture is hard to stir, knead it with your hands.

 7. Flatten the gum with your hands or a rolling pin and


cut the gum into any shape.

 8. Let the gum pieces dry for an hour and then dust
the pieces with powdered sugar and wrap them in
waxed paper.
