To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to recommend Paige Price as a candidate for a teaching position. Paige

is in the PDS program in West Chester University. This placement allows her to follow the
school calendar rather than the universities calendar. It takes a lot of effort and commitment.
Paige’s placement put her with me from the end of January until May. I was able to get a chance
to get to know Paige and her abilities as a classroom educator. Paige is extremely professional,
dedicated, and goes above and beyond on many occasions during her placement.
Paige is always punctual and prepared. She spent time crafting original lesson plans that
aligned to the standards. She was very thoughtful in her planning as she ensured she could meet
all the needs of the students she was instructing. She dressed professionally, collaborated with
other team members, and was able to be well known by other grade levels. Paige was able to sit
in on IEP’s, parent/teacher conferences, equity team meetings, grade level, and PLC meetings.
She voluntarily participated in a staff book club where she learned the latest research on whole
brain teaching. This required her to read chapters, implement strategies, and participate in group
discussions. The meetings were held outside of school hours in the morning. Her participation
shows her dedication to the profession. She engages in all meetings and offers insight.
Paige is very dedicated to the profession. She engages the students and builds strong
relationships with each child. Not only does she know the children from an academic standpoint,
but she observes and quickly finds out about the child as a whole. She can tell me their interests,
their fears, and their needs. She adapts her lessons and small group instruction to tailor to the
various needs of the classroom. Paige is very enthusiastic and the children respect and truly care
about her. She is very reflective. She is always looking for new ways to help the students work to
their full potential.
Paige was able to teach reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and small flexible
groups. She created bulletin boards and class displays. She made highly engaging anchor charts
and visuals. She used technology and used various media to help deliver instruction and
assessments. Paige often reflects and discusses with me how she felt her lessons were taught. She
always strives to be the best she can be. I watched her grow from the beginning of the placement
and was able to get an insight to the type of educator she can be in the education system. Paige is
impressive in her abilities and her care for children. She is knowledgeable and adaptable.
Paige is hardworking, professional, and very responsible. I am truly confident that Paige
would be a wonderful asset to any school community and would recommend her for any
teaching position.

Sincerely,
Lauren Watson
