Adelaide & Kangaroo Island
Day 1- Sunday
11am - Arrive Adelaide + pick up car.
11:30am - Head to Coles @ 394 Marion Rd, Plympton SA 5038
12pm - Glenelg Beach (15 min) + Lunch + Visitor Centre
2pm - Head to Lake Bumbunga Viewpoint 3193 Augusta Hwy, Lochiel for pink lake (2
hours drive) and hang around
4pm - Hang around till sunset
5:30pm - Drive back to Morphett Vale Airbnb
Day 2 - Monday
7:30am - Drive from Morphett Vale to Cape Jervis for 10am ferry (80 min drive along
with 9:30am check in) + lunch in ferry
11am - Arrive KI and head to Kangaroo Island Gateway Visitor Information Centre
11:30am – Head to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park for (1 hour drive)
12:30pm – Stay for 2 hours
2:30pm – Head to Admirals Arch for photo takings (1 hour)
3:30pm - Photos
4:10pm - Head to Remarkable Rocks till sunset
5:30pm - Head to Western KI Caravan Lodge
Day 3 - Tuesday
5:30am - Wake up & drive to Remarkable Rocks to see the sunrise for 7:30am. Drive
@ 6am (if cloudy, sleep-in and wake up @ 8am to eat breakfast & see park) + 3
hours
8:30am - Leave & have breakfast nearby
9:30am – Drive to Vivonne Bay
10am - Vivonne Bay Beach Lookout plus hang around for a couple of hours
12pm - Drive to Little Sahara (15 min drive no play, just take photos)
1:15pm - Drive to Seal Bay Conservation Park (1/2 hour drive)
3pm - Arrive & pay, play
4pm - If have time, go to Pennington Bay Carpark to see sunset, then start heading
back to Brown Beach to check in (3 nights) to see sunset for an hour drive
5pm - Back home and see Kangaroo at Island House
Day 4 - Wednesday
9am - Drive to Red Banks (30 min drive)
9:45am - Relax & take photos
10:45am - Drive to American River Oyster Farm lunch
12pm - Emu Bay (45 min drive) to Jetty i.e. 31 Hamilton Dr, Emu Bay SA 5223
1:30pm - Drive on Beach sand?? (if sand is hard and with people, consider doing it, if
not, play on beach)
2pm - Drive to Kingscote (20 min drive) (462km + reset)
2:30pm - Hang around + eat + petrol
4:30pm - Drive back to Pennington Bay sunset (if have time)
5pm - Back home and see Kangaroo at Island House
Day 5 - Thursday
9am - Cliftford's Honey Farm (40 min drive)
10:30am - To Murray Lagoon Bald Hill Walk i.e. 870 Seagers Rd, Macgillivray SA 5223
(30 min drive)
12pm - Head to Stokes Bay (1 hour drive)
1pm - Take photos and enjoy
2:30pm - Drive to Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park (20 min drive & see if have time)
4:30pm - Drive back to Pennington Bay sunset? (45 min drive)
5pm - Back home and see Kangaroo at Island House
Day 6 - Friday
10am - Head to Lashmar Conservation Park (30 min drive)
11am - Head to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse (15 min drive)
12:30pm - Head to Dudley Cellar Door for lunch (30 min drive)
1pm - Relax for 2 1/2 hours
3:30pm - Head back to Penneshaw ferry for 5:30pm Ferry (20 min drive) 4pm -
5pm - Head to Morphett Vale Airbnb (80 min drive)
Day 7 - Saturday
7am - Southport Beach, Port Noarlunga (15 min drive)
7:45am - Stairways - 146-147 Esplanade, Port Noarlunga (5 min drive)
8:30am - 3 Norman Rd, Aldinga Beach SA 5173 (20 min drive)
9am - Drive on beach 1/2 hour?
9:30am - Drive to McLaren Vale Visitor Information Centre - 796 Main Rd, McLaren
Vale SA 5171 (15 min drive) to ask for views
10am - Head for 2 hours
12pm - Lunch @ d'Arrys Verandah Restaurant, McLaren Vale
2pm - Head to Mt Jagged Wines, 3191 Victor Harbor Rd, Mount Jagged SA 5211 (25
min drive)
3:15pm (LATEST) - Head to Victor Habour for horse tram ride (20 min drive)
4pm - Arrive & stay until sunset (Catch 4pm last tram)
5:30pm - Head back
Day 8 - Sunday
8:30am - Drive Mount Lofty Summitt (40 min drive)
9:10am - Hang around
9:45am - Head to Mount Lofty Botanic Garden (15 min drive)
10am - 1-2 hours in garden
12pm - Head to Barossa Valley (80 min)
1:30pm - 3 1/2 hours?
5pm - Leave to Adelaide CBD?
6pm - Eat Sit Lo Pho @ 30 Bank Street Adelaide
7pm - Head back home (30 min drive)
OR ALTERNATE OPTION THE OTHER WAY AROUND
9am - Drive to Barossa Valley (90 min drive)
10:30am - Take photos, lunch, tour around
1:30pm - Drive to Mount Lofty Botanic Garden, Mount Lofty Summitt (70 min) 266

2:45pm - If have time, go to Garden, if not, head straight to Summitt
4:45pm - To leave and drive for sunset (if good good day)

Day 9 - Monday
8am - Drive to 1A Heron Way, Hallett Cove for board walk (15 min drive)
8:30am - Walk for 3 hours return?
11:30am - Head to Adelaide Central Market (45 min drive)
12:30pm - Walk, eat
3:50pm - Leave to airport (15 min drive)
4:10pm – Drop off car and head airport for 6:35pm flight
