Total Staff: 1054 peoples
- Reffering to Table 1.1 under Day school without cafeterias, gym or showers and Office, the quantities
of sewage flow is 15 gallons
So the total volume of sewage flow is:
= 500 x 75 gallons = 15810.00 gallons
- Using the formula:
Vg = 1125 + 0.75 Q
Where:
Vg = the liquid volume of the tank in gallons
Q = the daily sewage flow in gallons
1125 and 0.75 is constant value
Therefore:
Vg = 1125 + 0.75 x 30000 = 12982.50 gallons
There are 264 gallons per 1 cubic meter, therefore, dividing Vg by 264 we get the requireed volume of the
septic tank in cubic meter, thus:
Vcu.m = 23625 : 264 = 49.176 cu.m
- To find the dimention of the septic tank
Length x Width x Depth = Volume
Length = Volume : (Width x Depth)
Where:
Maximum depth for septic tank is 1.50 m
The width is assumed to be 2.0 m
L = (8.523 cu.m) : (2.0 m x 1.50 m) = 16.39 m
- The value of L is only for the length of the digestion chamber. Divide it by 2 then add to the value of L.
Thus:
L/2 + L
= 2.84/2 + 2.84 = 24.59 m
KITCHEN AND SMALL TOILET ROOM
- For the kitchen and small toilet room just have smal amount of sanitary fixture, so we take the minimum
requirement of volume septic tank
So the minimum dimention is:
- Minimum width: 0.90 m
- Minimum length: 1.50 m
- Minimum depth: 1.20 m
- The value of L is only for the length of the digestion chamber. Divide it by 2 then add to the value of L.
Thus:
L/2 + L
= 1.50/2 + 1.50 = 2.25 m
