MEMORANDUM

TO : Guards-on-Duty / Front Office
FROM : Office of the President
SUBJECT : Additional Security Requirements, Rules and Expectations

In addition to Memorandum No: 10-002 dated January 27, 2010 on Standard Operating
Procedures for Security Guards on Duty, the following are other requirements, rules and
expectations that should be abide by all the concerned:

a. Guards shall be changed every three (3) months to avoid over-familiarization with hotel
guests, employees and trainees;

b. Frisking of all hotel employees, trainees and even suppliers should be strictly observed
especially those that are coming out of hotel premises;

c. No meal should be extended to guards-on-duty. Breaks should not exceed one (1) hour
and should be communicated and permitted by the Front Office to ensure that
somebody else will take the post that will be vacated;

d. Guards-on-duty should always take their posts outside the hotel to ensure proper look-
out of those guests that need their assistance and employees and trainees leaving the
hotel (using the exit door); and

e. No smoking, eating or drinking of alcoholic beverages during duty hours.
