Pokemon Creepypasta Stories

This document provides a summary of several creepypasta stories related to the Pokemon video game series. The stories describe unsettling and disturbing events that occur when playing the games, such as encountering strange text boxes, graphical glitches that turn the game black and white, finding secret rooms and areas not included on the map, and interacting with mysterious trainers. In one story, the player's Pokemon are replaced with ghost sprites. The document suggests these anomalies may be signs the player is no longer in the real game world.

The Pokemon Creepypasta Collection

I put together all of these stories from the 1st Pokemon Hack Stories And Creepy
pasta PT on ACC. This is only the first one, however, and when PT no.2 is comple
te, this will be updated. =D

Where do you think you are?

In every pokemon game, there are dark caves that require the move flash , for you t
o be able to see inside them. However, have you ever tried getting through them
without it?
I discovered this trick on Pokemon Gold, and have since tried it on every pokemo
n game I own. It works on them ALL, even previous generation red, blue, green an
d yellow games.
You must be in a dark cave, or anywhere that you should use flash. Walk around,
fight pokemon in the dark, bump into trainers, and just keep wandering in the da
rk because eventually you will find a ladder that isn t on the map. Go down it.
The screen will go black as you hear the going down stairs noise, but it will play
four times, as if you ve just gone down four floors.
A text box will appear on the black screen saying simply, where do you think you
are? The music is distorted for a few seconds, and the screen goes glitchy. Somet
imes you might hear a thud noise as if you ve walked into a wall, or a distorted pok
emon cry that sounds like a scream.
Then you ll be able to see. In the older versions of the game, it simply looked li
ke you d found a new area that wasn t on the map. In newer versions you can tell som
ething is wrong because everything is in black and white.
You ll be in a big, empty room. The four walls all have something written on them,
usually your player name and the time, or the names of your pokemon. You can wa
lk through one of the walls, which one depends on the game, if I remember rightl
y it s the north wall in Diamond, and the left one in Yellow.. and so on.
When you go through the wall, you ll be back in the overworld outside the cave. Bu
t everything will still be in black and white. The music will be slower, and low
er too and occasionally it jumps. Trying to talk to people now is useless, you c
an t interact with them anymore.
In pokemon Yellow, the pikachu that follows you around is now the sprite of a gh
ost from lavender town. If you check your pokemon, they will all be there, same
stats and nicknames and moves, but all their icons are replaced by the ghost spr
ite.
If you go into the grass and find wild pokemon, they will almost immediately run
away or flee from you.
Go back into the dark cave you came out of. This is now the only place you can f
ight wild pokemon and other trainers, so long as you don t use Flash.
I discovered recently, that if you play the game like this for long enough, in t
hat one dark cave eventually you will see a trainer that looke like you (main ch
aracter icon), they stand out, because they are in colour when everything else i
s black and white.
However, if you try to talk to them, all that happens is that a box pops up sayi
ng Where do you think you are?
The screen goes black, and you hear the distored music, thud, or scream from bef
ore
I see ghosts
In DPP, when you re heading up Route 217 to Snowpoint City for your seventh badge,
there s a small house near the ice rock where you level up your Eevee to get a Gl
aceon. If you enter it, the lights are turned off and a woman is sitting alone a
nd unmoving at the table. She talks in a creepy whisper about how she never gets
visitors anymore and please, take this, and you get a Spell Tag an item that enha
nces ghost types. And if you re-enter the house after leaving, it s deserted there s n
o-one there. Not to mention a trainer that s near the cabin mentions legends of ha
untings in the area

Hypno's Lullaby
Sing to the tune of Hush Little Baby.
Come little children, come with me
Safe and happy, you will be
Away from you're homes, now let us run
With Hypno, you'll have so much fun
Oh, little children, please don't cry
Hypno wouldn't hurt a fly
Be free, be free, be free, to play
Come down in my cave with me to stay
Oh little children, please don't squirm
Those ropes, I know, will hold you firm
Hypno tells you this is true
But sadly, Hypno lied to you
Oh little children, you musn't leave
Your families for you will grieve
Their minds will unravel at the seams
Allowing me to haunt their dreams
But surely, all of you must know
That it is time for you to go
Oh little children, you weren't clever
Now you shall stay with me forever.

Pokemon Lost Silver

I went home and started it up for a nostalgia trip. However, that s where things s
tarted getting bizarre, and most likely the reason why you read this.
The Gamefreak logo started up as normal, but it just froze there. I thought the
cart was just errored or something, so I turned it off and on. The same thing ha
ppened. I tried pressing A and Start over and over, and all of the buttons. Even
tually, the logo vanished and there was a black screen for about five seconds. S
uddenly, rather than going to the usual menu screen, I was already in the game i
n a previous saved file, which was odd as I was expecting all of these carts to
have been wiped by the poor battery. Either way, I wasn t complaining, as I would
have chosen the Continue option to see what the previous guy did anyways.
First off, I checked his trainer information. His name was just He didn t have much
originality. I checked his profile and apparently he had 999:99 hours put into t
he game, with all 16 badges, 999999 Pokedollars and all 251 Pokemon on the Poked
ex.
Seeing as he apparently had Mew and Celebi logged also, I am guessing he either
used a Game Genie or is a really hardcore Pokemon player back then.
I checked his Pokemon to see what epic team he has. To my surprise, I saw 5 Unow
ns and a sixth Pokemon named HURRY . I m thinking that this must be some cruel joke b
y the person who last played this game, but I decided to check the profiles of t
hose Pokemon anyways. As expected, they were different letters of Unown, all Lev
el 5. I was a bit shaky with my Unown alphabet at the time, but I identified the
word spelled out to be LEAVE .
As for the sixth Pokemon, it turned out to be a Cyndaquil (mind you, this is bef
ore there were individualized Pokemon icons). The Cyndaquil looked normal, but i
t was Level 5 with only 1 HP left with only two attacks: Leer and Flash . I don t know
why they named him HURRY , but at the time, I just disregarded it. The most eerie t
hing was that, despite my volume being at max, none of the Pokemon he had said t
heir usual cries. Just pure silence.
Having enough of the team, I closed it. I was parked at what appears to be a roo
m inside Bellsprout Tower. However, for some reason, there were no NPCs around.
Even more eerie was that the pillar in the middle didn t move at all, as if just lea
ning on its side. There was no music at all, and there was no exit or ladder, or
least I thought there wasn t.
I walked around for a few minutes but can t seem to find a way out. This was certa
inly not a room I ve seen in the Bellsprout Tower before. I ve tried checking my ite
ms for an Escape Rope, but the bag was completely empty. There wasn t any Wild Pok
emon either.
Finally, I ve managed to find a ladder, which turned out to be behind the pillar . Th
e screen turned black and the music finally started playing. I had a sudden chil
l, as I recognize that melody I heard to be the theme you hear when you listened
to the radio at the Alph Ruins where the Unown are at.
I immediately realize that it wasn t a loading transition, but rather I was in a d
ark room and would need Flash. Before I took care of that though, I immediately
checked my Pokegear to change the radio to something more pleasant, but it turns
out that there was no Radio card, or even a Phone nor Time cards. There was onl
y a Map card in which Gold ( from earlier, and I will call him Gold from now on) wa
s just walking in a midst of black.
I recall that Cyndaquil has Flash, so I turned off my Pokegear and made Cyndaqui
l use Flash. I didn t see any message saying HURRY has used Flash! or anything like
that. The room just became lit just like that, and I soon regretted it. The room
was a chilling blood-red with a linear gray path heading south. The ladder I us
ed to go up/down was not there at all.
I had no choice but to head south. The screen got darker every 20 steps I made,
until I finally made it to the end, which appears to be a sign. I read the sign,
which said TURN BACK NOW .
Suddenly, I was asked to answer YES/NO, but there was no question asked. I chose
YES as I do not know what it was asking, and the screen went black again, makin
g a ladder climbed sound. The Unown Radio music stopped, and in a few seconds was
replaced with the not-as-creepy Poke Flute radio music.
I was in another dark room, but I held my breath and used Flash again. Suddenly,
it said that HURRY has fainted! which was odd since I recall that there was no st
atus conditions like Poison on him, and I clearly wasn t in a battle. I checked my
Pokemon quickly and suddenly he s no longer in my party. In fact, after a bit of
investigating, none of my Pokemon are there, but instead all replaced with Level
10 Unown. I did the same thing as before and spelled out the Unown. My then tea
m of Unown spelled HEDIED .
Either way, after that creepy change, the room was lit to reveal myself in a ver
y small room that appears to be only four squares big. The walls of that room we
re gray bricks, as if I was inside something that was hollowed out. Outside that
room appears to be a bunch of graves similar to the ones in Pokemon Red/Blue. I v
e walked around that small room and pressed A but nothing happened.
I ve already concluded that this was clearly a hacked game and some sadistic perso
n sold it to Gamestop. However, my curiosity kept me going. I checked the traine
r profile of again only to find out that the sprite of Gold was missing his arms.
He also seems to appear less smug, but rather seems more sad and empty in a way
that I do not know how to describe. For some reason, it also now said that he ha
s 24 badges, which was clearly impossible.
After a few minutes of aimless wondering, my character suddenly spun and did the
Escape Rope spinning animation. Instead of flying up though, my character spun
downwards slowly, as if sinking.
After that screen, the music stopped. After finally landing, the overworld sprit
e of Gold is coloured differently now. Instead of the usual red colour he dons,
he appears completely white now, including his skin. It s as if he came straight f
rom the colorless Game Boy games placed into a colored background of the Gameboy
Color. I checked his profile, and now, while now is as white as his overworld s
prite, he lost his legs and has what appears to be bloody tears from his eyes. I
t also says he now has 32 badges, which now starts to disturb me as this change
of
number seems to represent something important.
I also checked my Pokemon, which this time contains 5 Unowns and a Level 100 Cel
ebi without a nickname. The Unown are this time Leveled 15 and spelled out DYING .
I checked the Celebi s profile. It was a shiny Celebi, except there s only half of t
he sprite. One leg, one arm, one eye. It only has one attack: Perish Song .
The area I was in itself was the Sprout Tower with the immobile pillar as before
, except everything is apparently red now. I walked north for what felt like for
ever. Eventually, I finally encountered some generic men and women NPC. They wer
e all lined up to the side just facing the long slantish pillar in the middle. T
hey were also white, and nothing happens when I try to speak to them. I kept on
going north until eventually the pillar finally appears chopped off, with a tran
sparent Red in that spot. I went up to Red and without even pressing A, I was su
ddenly engaged and finally in a battle.
The music starts again, which it sounds like the Unown Radio music again, but pl
ayed backwards. Gold s battle backsprite matches his front one with the bloody eye
s, white skin, and lack of arms, while Red s sprite was the same as before in GSC
except transparent. The text simply said wants to battle! as if he has no name, an
d both of us only have one Pokemon each, which is weird as I swear I had six wit
h the Unowns. My shiny Celebi came out, conveniently with half-a-sprite for the
back sprite also. The Shiny noise and animation was different, as the sounds it ma
de sound like multiple Screech attacks used consecutively. Red sent out a seemingl
y normal male Pikachu, except he is Level 255 and his sprite seems sad and has t
ears in his eyes.
Rather than the usual FIGHT/ITEM/PKMN/RUN menu, I was only given the option to use
the Attacks. Since Celebi only has one, I chose it. Naturally, since Pikachu wa
s Level 255, he went first.
PIKACHU used CURSE! , lowering his Speed and increasing his other Stats. I m not even
sure if Pikachu could even use Curse.
CELEBI used PERISH SONG! In three turns, both Pokemon get KO d not like I have a cho
ice.
At this point, it didn t even go back to the Fight menu, as the battle just contin
ued without me. Also note that there was no animations at all for some reason.
PIKACHU used FLAIL! , which didn t do much damage despite his Level and boost as his
health was maxed.
CELEBI used Perish Song! Nothing happens as it was already used.
PIKACHU used FRUSTRATION! , which did a ton of damage, knocking Celebi down to less
than 10 HP.
CELEBI used Pain Split! , which surprised me as Celebi didn t even have that attack i
n the first place. Now Celebi and Pikachu have about 150 HP.
PIKACHU used MEAN LOOK! Not like that did anything.
As expected, due to the effects of Perish Song, my Celebi fainted. Except in the
text, it said CELEBI has died! and instead of the ordinary drop off the screen an
imation, the CELEBI backsprite just vanished. For some reason, the Pikachu was s
till up even with Perish Song and it didn t count as my lost. Pikachu used one mor
e different attack beyond the 5 attack limit:
PIKACHU used DESTINY BOND!
Afterwards, it said PIKACHU has died! , with a slow fade-out animation. Apparently,
I was the winner, as the transparent Red Sprite showed up and said .
At that point, I just freaked out, as that transparent Red sprite was suddenly m
issing a head, leaving nothing but his transparent body. The battle then ended a
t that point and faded out along with the music.
I m back in the overworld, with another change to the Gold sprite he s now as transp
arent as Red s overworld sprite. I quickly checked Gold s profile, where this time t
he only thing remains of him is his head, with a transparent skin. The head was
zoomed in a bit, showing a black void in his eyes. It now stated that he now has
40 badges. I then backed out and checked my Pokemon. They were all Level 20 Shi
ny Unown, which when spelled out, read NOMORE .
I was at what I now know is next to the end. There was apparently no music playi
ng, but for some reason I still felt like something was there that could be hear
d. I was back in my room in New Bark Town. Maybe finally I get to play this game
properly, but who am I kidding. I knew that sadistic person must have done some
thing. I walked around my room to interact with things, as I m a bit afraid to go do
wn the stairs to see what was awaiting down there. Note I said walked , as while th
e background was moving, Gold was not moving his transparent limbs at all while
doing so, just floating like those ghosts you see in Diamond/Pearl.
As expected, the radio, computer, and TV did not work, so I had no choice but to
go down the stairs. I ended up in the same lower level room of my house. Everyt
hing appears normal, except mom isn t home. After failing to interact with anythin
g in this room, I decided to go outside. To my surprised, that door leading outs
ide at the south didn t work, and instead I just walk straight through it to a voi
d. I continued moving south to see what the heck was going on. My house vanishes
as I head south into the void. It was creepy as when I entered the void, the ou
tline on Gold s transparent sprite turned white to contrast with the pitch black.
Eventually, I reached a white area and Gold s sprite turned black and transparent
again. I continued south without thinking of stopping at all.
After a long trek south, I finally encountered something. It was GOLD s regular sp
rite. I talked to it. He said Good bye forever . (notably with a space inbetween th
e forever and .), and vanished. As that happened, it said ??? used NIGHTMARE which
at that point, I would not deny that being possible. Gold did another Escape Rop
e animation spinning slowly downwards like before.
I m now back into that small hollowed-out room surrounded by graves earlier. Or at
least I say I was back there, as there s no sprite anymore. I tried to walk aroun
d but nothing moved not even wall bumping noise. I checked my trainer profile wi
th absolutely no Gold sprite left. It said
I have 0 badges and all the pictures of the Johto Gym Leaders at the bottom were
replaced with skulls.
I checked my Pokemon, which were all Level 25 Unown. As expected, it spelled out
a phrase that I dared to read. IMDEAD
As soon as I went back to the overworld, the room I supposedly was in was then c
overed with the same blocks as the walls. I then figured out what exactly that r
oom was when the final text was said: R.I.P.
That room was a big grave, surrounded by other grave. Gold has already been dead
. He died presumably a few years after he defeated Red.
He was a young trainer who, despite his efforts in collecting so many badges and
attempts at becoming a Pokemon master, was still unable to avoid the inevitable
fate of death, and his efforts were eventually forgotten by the next generation
.
I was unable to escape from that text no matter what I pressed. I tried resettin
g the game, and the same thing happened, at which I then finally decided to give
up on that horrible nightmare.
After that experience, I will never look at the gimmick Unown the same way again.
They say that only the first generation have folk tales and legends, but the sec
ond generation have shown me how unpleasant the truth can be. I eventually enjoy
ed SoulSilver immensely, but I still can t unthink what that rigged game have told
me.

Lavender Town Syndrome

"During the first few days of the release of Pokemon Red and Green in Japan, bac
k in February 27, 1996, a peak of deaths appeared in the age group of 10-15. Creep
y.
The Creepiness
It is said that only young teens and children can hear these certain tones through
out this first video, and fully developed human ears cannot.
Overview
The phenomenon of the Lavender Town Tone is a legend that involves a bizarre spate
of medical cases and deaths from around the country that have been connected to
the Pocket Monsters (Pokémon) series of games, in particular the first two games of
the series, Red and Green . Though the event is largely unheard of due to disclosure
laws for companies based in the Kyoto Prefecture, there is a large amount of in
formation that has been brought into the open by a number of dedicated individua
ls, including (Seki Uchitada) (Ise Mitsutomo) and (Satou Harue), to whom this pa
ge is dedicated. Thanks also go out to (Andou Kagetada) for providing images and
animated .gifs of the visual phenomena.
This analysis will discuss the other phenomena that is often confused with the La
vender Town Tone , known as White Hand Sprite , Ghost Animation and buried alive model
s well as the semi-related developer-tag that was inserted into the game, and ho
w to safely perform these easter eggs in post-first wave cartridges.
History of the Game
The first cases of the Lavender Town Tone and associated events were reported a fe
w months after the release of of Pocket Monsters Red and Green for the handheld Gam
e Boy videogame console. These videogames were wildly popular with children betwe
en the ages of seven and twelve (their core demographic), which was no doubt one
of the reasons why the Lavender Town Tone had the level of severity that it did.
In the game, the player takes on the role of a Trainer , whose task it is to captur
e, tame and train wild creatures called Pocket Monsters for battle. These games, a
nd the two newest additions to the series, Pocket Monsters Gold and Silver , an ani
me, manga, figurines, a collectible card-game and home console games have result
ed in Pocket Monsters becoming a multi-billion dollar franchise.
In one part of the game, the Trainer comes to a small, out-of-the-way place call
ed Lavender Town . This town is one of the smallest hamlets in the game (aside from
the Trainer s own home town), and possesses very few of the services available to
the Trainer in every other city in the game indeed, the location would be unrem
arkable were it not for the Pokémon Tower located there a colossal building that hol
ds the graves of hundreds of deceased Pokémon.
It is theorised that, because of this location in the game, at least two hundred
children lost their lives, and many more developed sudden illnesses and afflict
ons and this does not consider the vast waves of unreported illnesses or deaths
whose cause went unnoticed.
History of the Pathology
It was not until Spring/Summer of 1996 that the cases that would eventually beco
me linked to the Lavender Town Tone began to surface. The earliest record of the
acknowledgement of the effects of the Lavender Town Town that the author could
find came from an internal report made in June 1996 by the company Game Freak In
c. , which was then leaked by one of its former employees, Ms. Satou Harue. In i
t, an employee gives a list of names, dates and symptoms records of children bet
ween the ages of 7 and 12 who had suffered various medical problems as a result
of playing Pocket Monsters Red and Green versions. Some records are listed below
, with the full listing in Appendix A. (It should be noted that entries in the A
ppendix also include symptoms borne not from the Lavender Town Tone [an audio phen
omenon] but from the so-called White Hand Sprite , Ghost Animation and buried alive mo
del , all of which were visual phenomena that provoked similar but distinct sympto
ms. More details on Part Two).
April 12 1996 (11). Obstructive sleep apnea, severe migraines, otorrhagia, tinni
tus.
May 23 1996 (12). General irritability, insomnia, addiction to videogame, nosebl
eeds. Developed into violent streaks against others and eventually himself.
April 27 1996 (11). Cluster headaches, irritability. Eventually took mixed paink
illers.
March 4 1996 (7). Migraines, sluggish and slow behaviour, unresponsiveness. Deve
loped into deafness, and went missing. Body discovered beside road April 20 1996
.
The document that was circulated internally was the first time that these incide
nts had been connected with the Pocket Monsters videogames until then, the cause
had not been discovered or diagnosed by medical professionals. Indeed, it is un
certain how the company themselves managed to find the cases related to the even
t without seeking advice from health services.
Pathology Detail Lavender Town Tone
The predominant symptoms related to what would become known as the Lavender Town
Town included headaches and migraines, bleeding from eyes and ears, mood swings a
nd irritability, addiction to the games, unprovoked violence, withdrawal and unr
esponsiveness, and in approximately 67% of cases, suicidal tendencies. However,
these symptoms only manifested in children between the ages of 7 and 12 years ol
d who had reached the area in game known as Lavender Town , most of whom were revea
led to have been wearing headphones or earphones while playing the game (see App
endix A [here]).
As it turns out, the developers of the Lavender Town area had sought to make an
area that would leave an impression on the player , according to Seki Uchitada, who
was a member of the development team. Seki claimed that at the time of developm
ent, a number of the team were interested in making Lavender Town a little diffe
rent to the rest of the game.
The Pokémon Tower is a visible result of that, Seki told Game s Dimensions Magazine) in
an interview earlier this year. That, and the fact that Lavender Town is so diffe
rent from all the other cities in the game: it is smaller, it has fewer people o
ccupying it, it didn t have a gym and, of course, the music was very, very eerie. I
n fact, in the first version of the game, we were told to slightly change the so
ng played in the background of Lavender Town because our manager told us it woul
d make children upset. The music used in subsequent versions is different.
Either Seki was unaware of the full impact of the Lavender Town Tone, or was vas
tly underexaggerating how upset children would get no more is said of the music in
the article, but there are mentions of Lavender Town s other macabre features (se
e below).
What Seki failed to disclose to Game s Dimensions Magazine was that the music used
in the first-wave release of Pocket Monsters Red and Green was formulated out o
f an experiment in binaural beats : using slightly different frequencies of sound,
each frequency played in one ear through earphones or headphones, various psycho
logical effects can be induced upon the listener. In most versions of the first
wave releases, this resulted in the player feeling uneasy, apprehensive, and mil
dly disturbed. However, for upwards of two-hundred children, it provoked a varie
ty of disturbances in the brain that went undetected purely because it was undet
ectable by fully developed human ears instead, only children fell victim to the
tones , resulting in psychological and physiological problems that in some cases
led to death many of which were suicides.
Pathology Detail- Visual Overview
These visual effects are known among programming circles as The White Hand Sprite ,
the Ghost Animation , and the Buried Alive Model . Each has been found to cause heada
ches, nausea, and in severe cases, hemorrhaging of the brain and lungs. While ar
ound 70% of Lavender Town Syndrome (LTS) is due to the Lavender Tone, the remain
ing percentage is split among these visual phenomena. This is partly due to the
visual stimuli occurring after the player is introduced to the Lavender Tone. It
has been theorized that those unaffected by the aural stimulation, such as the
deaf or the hard of hearing, make up the remaining 30%. While viewing these mode
ls can cause these effects, there are certain methods that allow a viewer to saf
ely examine them in detail.
The White Hand Sprite
Known in the code as WhitHand.gif, this was scripted to appear as a Pokemon on t
he third floor of the Lavender Tower. It is divided into four separate animation
s: an introduction (the cry a Pokemon unleashes before a battle), an idle, and two
attacks. These attacks are unknown, as they are listed simply as Fist and Brutal . W
hile viewing the animation has been proven to be hazardous, viewing the frames o
f the model has been proven to have no adverse effects. The White Hand is depict
ed as a shriveled, slightly decayed hand, with surprising attention to detail: f
lesh is peeling back from the bone, and several tendons dangle realistically out
of the wrist. The first attack is the hand balling into a fist, then swinging f
orward. However, the brutal animation is missing several frames: The hand seems to
open up, then cuts out. After a few seconds, it reappears, closed again. No rec
ord has been found of these missing frames.
Ghost Animation
The Ghost Animation, coded as Haunting.swf, was intended to be placed in several
areas throughout the tower, including in the center of a path on the second flo
or. However, players cannot interact with it, leaving many to believe that it wa
s intended as a background feature . The ghost animation as well must be viewed in
individual frames. It is comprised of 59 frames total. However, after extraction
, around half of these frames have been revealed to be the standard ghost model
used in Pocket Monsters. Around a quarter of the remaining frames are comprised
of static, to produce a fading effect. However, interspersed with these bursts of
static are several frames of screaming faces, along with images of a skeletal ma
n in a cloak (hypothesized to be the Grim Reaper) and of several killed corpses.
The meaning behind these are unknown- While under oath before the Video Games C
ommission Board, Lead Programmer Hisashi Sogabe testified as to having No knowled
ge as to where these images surfaced. Out of all the phenomena associated with LT
S, this animation is the most speculated on: In his thesis Video Games and The Ma
nipulation of the Human Mind , [viewable in appendix C] Dr. Jackson Turner argued
that the images were intentionally placed in. Due to their brief time appearing
on the screen, and the graphic nature of the frames, Turner theorizes that these
were meant to subliminally influence players into becoming more frightened by t
he disturbing surroundings.
The Buried Alive Model
Often referred to as its code, the Buryman script, the Buried Alive Model was to
be found on the final story of the Pokemon Tower, in what has now been replaced
with the Marowak ghost. According to the scripts assigned to it, the Buried Ali
ve model was intended to be the boss of the tower. Once reaching the top floor, th
e following conversation would have taken place.
Buried Alive: You re Here.
BA: I m trapped
BA: And I m lonely
BA: So very lonely
BA: Won t you join me?
After this, the battle would have been initiated. Once in battle view , the Buried
Alive model appears to be a decaying human corpse attempting to crawl out of the
ground. It has been programmed to have two White Hands, a Gengar, and a Muk. St
rangely enough, a protocol for the Buried Alive s actions after it was defeated we
re not written. In the case of the player defeating him, the game would freeze.
However, a specific ending was written by an unknown programmer upon losing the
battle. In this ending, the Buried Alive was to have stated, Finally, fresh meat!
followed by several lines of gibberish. He was to have then dragged the player c
haracter into the ground surrounding him. The scene would finish with a typical G
ame Over screen; however, in the background, an image of the Buried Alive charact
er devouring the player was to have been shown. Especially strange are the proto
cols for after this scene. The cartridge was to download this image to the small
internal memory contained in the Gameboy, overwriting the title screen that nor
mally accompanied a Gameboy turning on. Instead, whenever it was started, the pl
ayer would view this image as the sound file staticmesh.wav was played. The inte
nded purpose for this effect, unlike many of the other factors leading towards L
TS, is unknown.

Your Rival's Life Story.

In the original Pokémon Red/Blue, when you encounter your rival in Lavender Town,
he asks whether or not you know what it's like to have one of your Pokémon die. At
this point in the game, he no longer has his Raticate that he used in previous
battles.Your rival battle before this took place aboard the S.S. Anne. Your riva
l's Raticate sustained serious injuries from the battle but, because crowding and
confusion on the luxury liner, he was unable to make it to a Pokémon Center in tim
e and the Raticate passed away. The real reason your rival is in Lavender Town t
o begin with is to lay his deceased friend to rest.
Despite all of this, your rival never outwardly tells you that you're responsibl
e for the death of his Pokémon. He hides his grief and instead channels that energ
y into the motivation he needed to continue his quest to become Indigo League Ch
ampion. The death of his Raticate effectively destroys your rival's impish, chil
dhood innocence. Although he tells himself that he doesn't hold you responsible,
he subconsciously holds a great deal of resentment towards you which further fu
els his ambitions.
Tearfully swearing upon his Raticate's grave to not fail in what he set out to d
o, he trains hard in hopes of becoming better than you defeating you and to eventual
ly make it to the Pokémon League. Mere moments after he became Indigo League champ
ion, he was defeated by you. Although he fulfilled his promise to his fallen Pokémon
, it was only for a painfully brief instant.
In the end, your rival is scolded by his grandfather while you receive the profe
ssor's praise. During the course of the game, you steal your rival's innocence,
crush his dreams, and ultimately snatch away the love of his own grandfather. Oh
, and by the way, your rival doesn't have any parents. He's an orphan.

I AM DEAD
I met my best friend in elementary school. We had both brought our Gameboys to s
chool one day and sat together at lunch once we realized what we had in common.
I had Blue version and a Venausaur, he had Red version and a Charizard. He and I
battled whenever we could and became great pals. As the years went on, we conti
nued playing Pokemon, even through high school. Throughout all of the Pokemon ge
nerations and versions we went though, the battles never became dull.
As we approached college, we had to go separate ways. We didn't speak much after
that; we had such busy lives to follow in college. I didn't think we would ever
regain the friendship we once had. Then, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl were release
d in 2007 and we once again enjoyed our common interest in the series. We battle
d and talked over Wi-Fi nearly every day for a few weeks after its release.
My friend told me that he planned to play through his old Red version again. Sin
ce it had been about three months after the release of Diamond and Pearl, we did
n't play them as much as before. I asked him why he wanted to play that dusty ol
d cartridge, and he responded, "I don't know, maybe I'll find something that no
one has found before."
Despite my unwillingness to run through my Blue version with him, he played his
Red version anyway. After he started his journey, I never talked to him again. A
bout three weeks later, I received a call from my friend's parents.
Even though he never had any similar problems before, he died from what was spec
ulated to be an intense seizure. He was alone in his dorm room until a roommate,
who was unfortunately too late, found him lying on the ground, lifeless, and st
rangely wearing his favorite headphones. I flew out as soon as I could to attend
his funeral. His roommate, who was going to attend as well, informed me that ju
st days before the incident my friend was becoming obsessed with Lavender Town a
nd its music. My friend had aspired to become a sound engineer after graduating
and had a wide range of audio skills at his disposal. He could always hear quiet
sounds vividly while I failed to even recognize them at all.
As soon as he rediscovered Lavender Town, he ripped its audio to his computer an
d began experimenting with it. Interestingly, he bragged about finding a rare ri
p of the music from the first distributed batch of the Japanese-exclusive Green
version. Not specifically referring to the special Japanese version, he had told
the roommate that, "The frequencies in this song are different; they blend toge
ther in a special way. But there's something missing. I think something was mean
t to be mixed in, but it never could have worked on the Gameboy. It was so limit
ed in terms of sound bandwidth." I had the chance to go through his laptop one l
ast time, so I visited his Recent Items list. At the very top read "lavender.wav
". Along with a few photos of us together, I copied this to my flash drive. Caug
ht in my sadness over my best friend's death, I ignored the audio file until a f
ew weeks before writing this. I somehow recently decided that I needed to retrac
e what had happened.
Driven by my desire to know what caused his untimely death, I opened the propert
ies dialog box for the audio file, without opening the file to listen to it. Wit
hin the comments section of the metadata, he had written, "binaural tones, i add
ed the necessary frequencies, i know why lavender town sounds so sad, and i know
the part that was missing". Even eerier, I looked in his default audio program
(still without listening to the file) and found the playcount for this file. One
. I chatted with a sound enthusiast online in hope to decipher these cryptic com
ments. He gave me some special software which would analyze the audio in real ti
me and said that was the most that could be done. This video is a screen recordi
ng of me running the aforementioned software with the original audio file. To th
is day I have not listened to the actual audio, as I am too emotionally disturbe
d by my best friend, Anthony's, death.

Ghost
I was one of those "big kid, master gamer" kids everyone in the neighborhood loo
ked up to, especially when Pokemon Red and Blue came out. I was ten years old, a
nd the oldest on my block, and every kid played the games, and asked me for advi
ce. I'd sometimes give misleading advice, such as the Missingno. glitch, the Mew
glitch, and the truck glitch. I used to love misleading my fellow neighbors. I
never thought it would all come back to haunt me.
I'd beaten Pokemon Red several times, but I was so addicted to the game I kept p
laying. I started a new game, and in three hours' time, I was in Lavender Town.
I loved going to the Tower just to see if I could catch the unnamed GHOSTs.
One day...I caught one! Even though my Nidorino was too scared to move, I just t
hrew a Poke Ball, and it was caught. I was ten, and really syked. During my gym
battle with Erika, I first used the Ghost, whom I nicknamed "Spooky" like a youn
g idiot would.
Spooky became my new best friend. He'd use this move called "Curse". Which would
mysteriously just One hit KO all Pokemon. When I beat the game, I was thrilled.
I wanted to use Spooky forever.
However, just when Spooky was about to get inducted into the Hall of Fame...the
screen went black. I shook my GameBoy, thinking it was on the fritz. But nothing
but a box of text came up, and the words "H--help me!" came up.
I widened my eyes. This never happened before.
The text continued, "H--he's too strong....help me, please....send him back....S
END HIM BACK!"
I was confused. Send who back? What was this? Did I unlock a mystery event after
beating the game so many times?
The screen showed up again, and to my surprise I was in Lavender Town again. I w
as pretty weirded out.
The music to the Town was playing, but it seemed distorted.
Then, my Trainer sprite disappeared, and a tombstone took its place. The box of
text appeared again, saying,
"Send him back."
I was ready to shut the game off. This was just too weird. I was gonna restart m
y game, and play without a ghost.
I shut off the switch. I froze when the game didn't go off. I tried lowering the
volume. The music still played. I was really getting freaked now, so I kept fli
cking the off switch. No matter how hard I tried, the game didn't go off.
"SEND HIM BACK NOW." The text box screamed.
I was shaking. When I tried moving, the tombstone changed into my sprite again.
I walked to the Tower, where I caught Spooky. I went to the exact area I caught
him. Once I got there, the screen went completely black. Then, the text box came
up, saying,
"TOO LATE."
I was shaking when the Town music kept playing and playing...and then it got mor
e distorted, and I heard demonic noises coming from it.
In a desperate attempt to fix my game, I opened the battery door and ripped out
the batteries from my GameBoy. Finally, I heard everything go off.
Sighing in relief, I once again put the batteries back in. And I switched the ga
me on.
It started off normally, and I clicked 'New Game'.
Since then, I've never caught a ghost.

The Lighthouse Story

WARNING; If you DO get creeped out easy, Don't read this. It is graphic, but don
't forget, this can NOT happen.

It all started when I lost my pokewalker for my Pokemon Heart Gold game I was de
pressed because I had a level 60 dragonite on it. After a few months I decided g
et a new one. I went on google and tried to find one. After a few minutes I mana
ged to find one for 2$ with free shipping but they wanted the money to be sent d
irectly to the address which seemed a little odd, but I sent it anyway.
It arrived about a week later. When I opened the box I first noticed the pull-ou
t tag was missing, so it was used, but I didn t care so I pressed the middle butto
n. The screen of the usual pokewalker screen came up, but there was an unknown b
eing walked, so I transferred it to my game. When I did my ds shut off, so I tur
ned it back on. When I started the game it seemed normal but there was no intro
which I find enjoyable and I always watch it so I was wondering why it didn t star
t, but I just thought it was a glitch so I continued. Next, there was music on t
he page where they show Ho-oh flying, but I did what I did last time and continu
ed. The next scene where you get the options was missing, so It just put me in t
he game.
When I started my game was what seemed to be the old gold version for the GBC (g
ameboy color), and I was in the lighthouse on the bottom floor. I instantly chec
ked my pokemon and they were gone. I put the game down and tried to go back to t
he website but it was gone, and I located the address on google Earth and it was
an empty lot. At this point I was freaked out, but I picked up the game and con
tinued. I tried to exit the lighthouse but the door wasn t letting me leave instea
d giving me a message saying kill them written in unknown. I checked my player sta
tus and everything was at zero and my name was Kill Them. I decided to try to ge
t to the top of the lighthouse. When I went to the next room it was nothing but
doors on every wall. I decided to go trough one, and when I went through it ther
e was I painting. I clicked on it and a very detailed picture of Professor Oak s
hot at least five times laying on his back in a pool of blood. I hit the off swi
tch and turned it back on and the same picture came up, so I had no choice but t
o continue. I pressed B and the image disappeared, and I left the room. I was gr
eeted once again by the many doors and went in another.
Once again there was a painting and I clicked it, and it showed once again a ver
y detailed picture but this time it was a child maybe 7 hanging from his arms wi
thout a shirt with a huge gaping wound and his organs were on the floor, and he
was missing his eyes. To add to the horrible scene there was a very faint scream
ing of a child. I left the room scared to death, and entered another door, the n
ext painting were like the other ones (very detailed), and it was Brock dead in
a chair with his head in his lap. That is all I can remember before I left in fe
ar, the next was a child, I couldn t even tell the gender. It was like all the oth
er child but more disturbing and detailed then the other. This disturbing patter
n continued until there were no more doors. When I left room which had a another
picture of a child missing all its limbs and organs which were all on the floor
in a big pool of blood. After this painful last picture (which was so detailed
it looked to be real) I left the room and there was only one door in the room no
w, so I opened it.
The next room had all paintings and a flight of stairs. I just went up the stair
s the next room had a sign and more stairs, and the room was a slight tint of re
d. I red the sign and it said Getting closer written in unknown; I took the stairs
. The next room was filled with paintings, had stairs, and was even more redder
then the last. Scared, I clicked on one of the paintings. It was like the other
children but more detailed and worse. Its entrails were being pulled out by a ha
nd, the hand was covered in blood and organs. I nearly threw up. Every picture w
as of a child more detailed and worse then the last. The last picture was of a h
ead of a child. It was missing its eyes and it looked like its nose was ripped o
ff, and its mouth was wide open, and its tongue was cut out.
I quickly ran up the stairs. There were two people, Lance and Red (Lance is the
pokemon champion of the game, and Red is Ash Ketchum who is the master pokemon t
rainer who you have to fight at the end of the game in Mt. Silver, for those who
didn t play the game). Lance Walked up to my and we engaged in battle, with no mu
sic. I had all my pokemon who I trained to lev 100 so I beat him with no problem
, I found it odd that my pokemon who must were not in the game came up and pixel
ated perfectly and that all the pokemon had double their health. After the battl
e Lance battled me again. This time he had one pokemon. It said Lance sent out hi
mself! . So I battled him and he was a level one and I beat him with one shot. Aft
er the battle he fell to the ground and became surrounded by a pool of blood. Th
en a message written in unknown said he and his pokemon died . Then me and Red batt
led and, all my pokemon were healed so I beat him like I beat Lance with no prob
lem the same thing happened with Red that happened with Lance. After the second
message that was the same as the first disappeared, the escape animation played.
Now another message written in unknown said you killed them no destroy it . I was c
onfused, but then I remembered the pokewalker. I destroyed it like the game said
and flushed the pieces down my toilet and continued (I don t why I didn t keep it a
nd show someone, but something was forcing me to. I felt like I had to do it). S
o after a pressed A the message disappeared and I was back to my Heart Gold game
at the Indigo league just where I saved and my game was perfectly fine. I tried
to tell people but no one believes me, do you?

You Let Them Get You

With HeartGold and SoulSilver's release earlier this year, I tried looking for a
copy of one of the original games, Crystal, to buy online. I hadn't played this
game in at least 7 years. It strangely went missing when I moved house as a kid
. I saw the cart eBay. There wasn't much information, or even a picture, but it
had no postage and packaging price and only cost a dollar, so I was hardly losin
g anything if it didn't really exist.
When the game arrived, it wasn't in its original box, but instead, the cartridge
alone was just wrapped up. It looked like a Crystal cartridge as it was shiny,
slightly see-through and blue, but it lacked the sticker in which the game title
is print on. However, I still put it in my pink Game Boy Advance SP. Pink as I
am a girl, of course.
I switched the handheld on. There was a loud beeping sound, then the game began
as normally. Once the menu screen was open, the only option was New Game, as it
had never been played. The cartridge sure ddn't seem in that condition though.
So, I clicked new game. Instead of starting out with the Professor's speech, it
skipped straight to somewhere that didn't exist in these games. Or at least, it
looked like the place.
It was the Pokemon Mansion from the original games. The Pokemon Mansion on Cinna
bar Island. The same Cinnabar Island that no longer existed.
I was the girl character, as I wanted to be, but I had no choice in this. On clo
se inspection, her hair seemed a different color from what I originally remember
ed. It was a dark purple, and she also didn't have her hat any longer.
I walked around the building. It wouldn't let me up the stairs. The only other t
hing was a bed. I walked towards it and a scientist came along. He told me to re
st, so I laid on the bed. The screen suddenly went pitch black. It stayed this w
ay for a while. Before this transition, there was pure silence, but after, there
was loud high pitched noises, which almost sounded like screams. It was hard to
tell though, as the sound was in 8bit.
When my character woke up, the plase was covered in patches of red; blood. The c
haracter herself was drenched in it too. I tried to walk around, but I couldn't.
The scientist seemed to have disappeared, also.
I pressed all of the buttons to try and get something to work, and on pressing s
elect, my character walked out of bed. Only, she was still in the bed at the sam
e time. And unlike before, instead of walking, she appeared to float.
I pressed start, and my character turned into a ghost pokemon's menusprite. This
shocked me slightly. I walked out of the door, when I suddenly teleported into
Lavender Town. There, in the middle of town, was a gravestone. I clicked the "A"
button to check it. It said "R.I.P. CRYSTAL". I opened up my menu, and looked a
t my trainer card. The sprite of the trainer had turned into that of a Misdreavu
s', and as I though, the player's name was "CRYSTAL".
The scientist came up to the tombstone, and it suddenly disappeared. He seemed t
o run at twice the speed of a normal game character.
My character, without my control, floated after him. As soon as she entered a pa
tch of grass, a random encounter appeared. Only, this encounter was hardly "rand
om". The Pokemon was Mewtwo. Instead of attacking, a few lines were written.
"You let them get you, didn't you, CRYSTAL?"
There was a yes and no option, I just clicked no, as I was unsure of what was go
ing on.
"Don't lie to me! I can see what they did! Look at yourself." After this, the ga
me paused for a few seconds, then the "battle" continued. "You're just an object
of science, like me. I'm not real, and neither are you. You were just made out
of a tiny bit of DNA from something else, and when you weren't perfect, they kil
led you. Would you like to seek revenge?"
I clicked no again, and I was sent back to the field, with Mewtwo still followin
g my character.
I walked until the scientist appeared again, and suddenly, my bag screen came up
with the only item there being "Knife". I clicked it, and pressed use. Suddenly
, the screaming noise appeared again, and the screen went black.
Suddenly, the screaming got louder and more frequent. When it stopped, I was in
the radio tower. A text box appeared.
"Why did they destroy our home? We were meant to be here... Everyone who destroy
ed are home is gone. Everyone in the world is gone. We killed them all. We got r
evenge like you. Now all the world is gone."
Suddenly, the screen went white, with my character still there. "Everything is g
one. You also killed us. You're the only one left. Why did we kill people? Why d
id you help? Now, you must get what you deserve!"
The character was replaced with a patch of blood, and then the game froze. I hav
e never picked up this cartridge again. It gave me nightmares.

WE ARE COMING TO GET YOU

I was randomly searching through a box in my room one day, and I came across my
old "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team". I remembered how much fun I had
with it. So I inserted it into my DS and decided to play it. It went to the int
ro, then to the option screen. I looked at my saved progress, and figured I had
done a lot, so I decided to continue from there.
First, I saw my character (which was a bulbasaur) sleeping in her little hut des
igned to look like her. I walked out.
Ah, Good ol' Pelipper, here to deliver my mail. I moved over to the mailbox afte
r the Pelipper flew away. It was a message, but it wasn't labeled anything but "
...". Curious, I opened it.
WE ARE COMING TO GET YOU. NO USE RUNNING, WE ARE COMING. NO USE HIDING.
WE WILL GET YOU.
I'm quite confused, but then I figured this is something that happens after you
complete the game. It was probably Team Meanies at it again. I stored it and wen
t to Pokemon Square.
The moment I walked in, a cry was heard, and my sprite looked around, confused.
A box popped up.
"Liz! Over here!"
My character cautiously walked over to the crowd. They spread out.
I saw my partner, Marcus (He's a mudkip), in sleeping position, but he wasn't mo
ving. Then I saw patches of red on him.
"Liz... Marcus is dead." These were Alakazam's words.
I froze.
He's dead? What kind of sick joke is this, Nintendo?
My character walked over to him.
"(Marcus...)" (The parentheses indicate my thoughts, given my character never re
ally talks.) Then there was a flash of white, and then, all of a sudden, Chariza
rd had disappeared.
All the characters began to panic.
"Where did Charizard go?" "What happened?"
"Hey, a note!" Snubbull spoke up.
WE ARE COMING TO GET YOU. NO USE RUNNING. WE ARE COMING. NO USE HIDING.
WE WILL GET YOU.
...This was the same note from the mailbox. Then, all of a sudden, another white
flash, and Snubbull was surrounded by a pool of blood.
This is pretty morbid for a children's game.
"Snubbull!" "Snubbull's dead!"
At this point, the cutscene ended, so I ran out of Pokemon Square and into Marcu
s' friend area.
He wasn't there, rather a different pokemon. It was transparent and shaped like
a circle.
"Hello," it said.
"...." said my character.
"I know how to escape."
"(...Escape what?)"
"I can hear your thoughts. They speak loud. You must keep them quiet, or they wi
ll hear."
"(...Who will hear?)"
"Them."
"(Who is them?)"
"The ones who murdered your partner. The ones who abducted Charizard. The ones w
ho took away Snubbull's life."
"(Th-They're here?!)"
"No. But they will find you. You're in danger, as well as every Pokemon, everywh
ere."
"(But-But who are you?)"
"That is not important. And it will never be. Will you follow me to escape?"
I had the option to say "Y-Yes" or "......". I chose "Yes".
"Good. Follow me. Come now. Follow me. Come now. Follow me. Come now. Follow me.
Come now. Follow me."
It kept saying those same two lines until I decided to shut off my DS.
It wouldn't shut off. I kept trying, but nothing would happen.
FOLLOW ME. It said finally, with an ear piercing cry, until I was forced to. We ca
utiously walked out of the friend area and into a dungeon, which resembled the e
ntrance to the Sky Dungeon (I forgot the name, I apologize.)
Let's go. Follow me for safety.
I had the option of Yes and But what about the others?
I chose the second option. The transparent white circle turned to me.
The others don't matter.
I had the option of O-Okay and Yes they do!
A distorted music began to play when I chose the second one. The icon's eyes tur
ned into a chilling red color.
FOLLOW ME, OR I WILL TEAR YOU APART, LIMB FROM LIMB. I WILL WRITE IN YOUR BLOOD O
N THE WALLS OF THIS DUNGEON. I WILL KILL YOUR FRIENDS. I WILL SHOW NO MERCY. FOL
LOW ME. OR ELSE, THIS WILL BE YOUR FATE.
My character slowly backed away. By now I was freaked out.
NO. COME HERE. COME CLOSER. COME NOW.
She backed away more.
WHAT ARE YOU DOING? COME NOW. COME NOW. COME NOW. COME NOW.
It kept uttering that same phrase. The music began to scare me, so I tried to tu
rn down the volume.
It didn't work.
It must be this stupid DS. Then, my character turned. A mudkip, with a trail of
blood following, walked up.
(He-he's alive!)
Liz! Don't follow him!
I suppose I'm going to have to finish you off.
You'll never finish me! Marcus said.
Oh, but I will. I'll...
Then, in far too much detail, it described how it would kill Marcus. I cannot ev
en describe how disturbing it was.
Then the two were locked in battle.
I tried to use sleeping powder on it, and suddenly the battle stopped.
You dare interfere?! the circle screeched. You will pay the price!
Then, in the worst detail, it showed a drawing on the top screen of a bulbasaur
being torn apart.
Then a Charmander.
Then a Chikorita.
I couldn't take it. I took out the camecard and threw it out the window.
WE WILL GET YOU. uttered my DS. WE WILL GET YOU. WE WILL GET YOU.
It wouldn't stop. I threw it out the window. But it kept saying it.
It decreased in speed, until it was nothing more than a mumble.
I don't think I can ever pick up a Pokemon game without a hammer by my side.
Ever.

Regis

If you have Diamond, Pearl or Platinum, you have probably read the myth in Canal
ave library about the man who came to own a sword. Remember the ending? That was
n't the real ending.
He wasn't "callow and foolish in innocence". He had went looking for the sword s
o he could kill Pokemon. For fun.
So kill he did, until he couldn't find any pokemon left. He searched everywhere
until he found one. But it was massive and he feared it would hurt him if he tri
ed to kill it.
The Pokemon spoke to him. "Why did you kill all of the Pokemon?" it said. The ma
n grinned. "I get pleasure out of it" he replied. This made the Pokemon angry.
"You will have to be punished" he said angrily. The sword the man held began to
hover. It moved above the man's head and dropped on him killing him. The Pokemon
then created three bodies to store the three "elements" of the man in.
The soul and sanity of the man was put in a stone body, because like stone, his
sanity had crumbled away.
His blood was drained from his body and stored in a body of thick ice, symbolizi
ng his cold heart.
Finally, his decomposing corpse was put in a steel body, because the man seemed
to be emotionless like metal.
The pokemon then brought the bodies to life: Regirock Regice and Registeel. He s
ealed them into caves never to be found.
The Rumour--------
If you use all 3 Regi's in battle and they all get KO'd there's a chance the scr
een will black out. A disturbing looking face will show up, with a screaming noi
se. The man has a sword through his head and has no eyes. The face is supposed t
o be so horrible, it can drive you insane.
You may want to release your Regi's... or go insane for life.

Gary's Revenge
I remember several years ago I picked up my old Pokémon Blue game and decided to s
tart fresh. My old file contained decent accomplishments, but there were some th
ings I wished I hadn't done.
I slid farther into my seat at the computer, placing my legs stretched out on th
e desk in front of me. I blew the dust from the cartridge and inserted it into t
he slot of my purple Gameboy Color.
While waiting for the game to load up, I left my game console on the computer ch
air and went into the kitchen for a snack. When I came back with a cherry soda a
nd cheese crackers, I noticed something very odd.
The start screen was blank. Just white showed up nothing else. Figuring it was j
ust a glitch; I shrugged it off and confirmed to play, while taking a sip from m
y drink. I selected "new game" and skipped through the intro. Nothing out of ord
inary there.
I gave myself the name "Ace". I stuck with the name Gary for my rival. But that'
s probably not important to you.
I played for hours. I have forgotten how much fun this game was. But after beati
ng the fourth gym I noticed something wrong.
Gary suddenly came running out of nowhere towards my direction. This has never h
appened before. He stopped in front of me and said, "I'm sick of you always tryi
ng to impress my grandpa. THIS ENDS NOW, YOU MORON."
My belly did the strangest flip flop and my heart started beating like crazy. Th
is can't be happening I thought as the screen switched to battle mode.
It started out as any Pokémon battle. Gary sent out his wartortle and I sent out m
y chameleon. Still confused but I managed to defeat him. Had I somehow unlocked
something I never done before? It didn't make any sense.
Right when I thought everything would turn back to normal, I soon found out I wa
s totally wrong. Gary went insane. He started uttering various Pokemon cries, as
if the game was implying he was swearing. He flashed different colors which was
also freaky.
I tried running away but I was frozen! I got panicky and tried shutting off my g
ame. To my horror, I could not
I let out a bloodcurdling scream and dropped my Gameboy on the ground. "THIS IS
IMPOSSIBLE!" I exclaimed again and again.
My mom came rushing into the room. "Honey, what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"Something is wrong with this game " I said, picking up my Gameboy. The screen was
frozen. Gary and I stood face to face.
Mom gave me an odd look. "What do you mean?" She peered over my shoulder and gla
nced at the screen.
" never mind," I replied as I shoved the console in my hoodie pocket. She probably
wouldn't believe me. "I'll just go take a walk outside."
"Well, okay," she said, sitting down on the couch. "If you need anything, you kn
ow you can always come to me."
Nodding, I made my way to the front door. I wasn't really going to take a walk t
hough
I sat down on the front porch and took my Gameboy from the pocket of my hoodie.
The screen remained the same, but my emotions did not. This time, I was totally
fearless.
Pressing random buttons, I waited for something to happen. I tried shutting it o
ff again but that didn't work either, which I was still puzzled about.
After a few more experiments, I gave up. It was probably stuck like this forever
and there was nothing I could do about it.
Days passed. Months crept by. The screen was still frozen. Gary and I stood face
to face.
Two years passed. I was fourteen. Gary and I, still, stood face to face.
I celebrated my fifteenth birthday with family and friends. One of my cousins fo
und my Gameboy buried beneath her stuff in her tote bag. She asked me how it got
there. I shrugged and told her sometimes it ended up in random places without m
e knowing. She assumed it was a joke and threw the junky console away, which I d
idn't mind because I knew it would return and show up in a random place the next
day.
And I was right. The day after my birthday party, my purple Gameboy Color, that
good ol' thing that provided me with hours of entertainment, ended up on my nigh
tstand.
Gary and I stood face to face.
The strange occurrences went on. If my dad ever found it in his briefcase, he ch
uckled and placed it back on my nightstand, thinking it was me who placed it the
re.
If my mom was pulling weeds from her garden, she would see the console lying mys
teriously in the dirt and shake her head in annoyance.
My little brother would just chuck it out the window. He never admitted it, but
I knew he was afraid.
It would always return - either on my bookshelf, the computer chair, or my night
stand. Gary and I still stood face to face.
One day I had enough. Even though I had become used to this hide-and-seek game,
I wanted to let my family know I wasn't an immature child who enjoyed playing co
nstant tricks on her family.
I took a hammer from my dad's garage and killed that thing. To my surprise, the
screen went black. I felt relieved but a little spooked at the same time. I wasn
't sure why I suddenly got chills, but I did. Somehow I sensed that wasn't the r
ight thing to do. Somehow I sensed that I would regret what I did. Badly.
To this day, I regret it terribly. I will never forget what happened that night.
Lying in my bed, ready to get some shut eye, I still felt the chills like I did
earlier that day when I took the hammer and smashed my Gameboy. Scolding myself
mentally for being so paranoid, I drifted off to sleep.
Loud Pokémon cries woke me up in the middle of the night. When I opened my eyes, I
could feel all the blood drain from my face. I felt like I was about to have a
heart attack.
Gary stood in front of me. He flashed colors while uttering various Pokémon cries
and stared blankly at me. He looked exactly like the character in Pokémon Blue, on
ly life-sized.
Gary and I both stood face to face.
It felt like forever. Seriously, I never experienced anything for so long. It wa
s so terrifying and I wanted to die. I wanted it to end so badly, I wanted to cr
y. But I couldn't. We were stuck like this.
I have no idea how much time passed days, months, maybe even years.
I don't remember what happened, but one day I was suddenly fine. I was enjoying
life, laughing with my friends at the park. I couldn't recall anything previousl
y, except that eternal-like night.
I'm sixteen now. The incident that happened five years ago, when I was eleven, s
till haunts me. I still have nightmares. I never told anyone, except to the peop
le who are reading this right now.
I don't blame you for not believing me. I know you might think I'm insane and th
at I belong in some mental institute. Or that I'm just trying to mess up a child
ren's game with my twisted mind. I don't blame you one bit.
Just remember though: Never take a hammer and smash a video game console. The co
nsequences are horrifying and you will regret it for the rest of your life.

Evil Pikachu
Ash Ketchum walked through his front door. "Anyone here?" he called out to the s
urprisingly dark house.
No answer.
Ash put down his backpack and walked into the kitchen. This was odd. Misty was s
upposed to meet him here fifteen minutes ago. As he reached for a glass, he hear
d something.
He stopped. Listened.
There it was again. A muted "pika pika," coming from the bedroom.
Ash walked to the door. "Pikachu? Are you in there?"
"Pika," came the high-pitched response.
Ash turned the handle and walked in.
The room was very dark. Ash flipped the switch.
Misty lay on the bed, staring at Ash almost boredly. Pikachu stood on hind legs
near Misty's midsection with his back to Ash.
"Oh no, you guys!" exclaimed Ash. "My mom's gonna be really mad when she finds o
ut you spilled tomato sauce on the bed!"
Except...
As the realization began to wash over Ash in confusing, chilling waves, Pikachu'
s head began to slowly turn.
"Pikachu..." Ash said quietly. He tried to reach for the door handle, but instea
d found his legs slowly bending under him and he slid to a sitting position at t
he wall.
The last thing he saw was a wide mouthful of small, blood-caked teeth, then red,
then nothing.

The Truck
The truck
If you go to Vermilion Harbour in RBY or FRLG, you will see a small truck. It ha
s no purpose to begin with, and is seemingly empty, but there is a way to look i
nside the truck...
A long time ago in Lavender Town, there was a woman who lived with her daughter.
The woman wasn't right in the head and acted strange. She would put her hand on
the shoulders of people who passed through town and start to yell at them angri
ly for coming into the territory of the spirits.
Marie, the daughter of the woman, was afraid of her own mother. She often got ve
ry mad and screamed at Marie for no reason. However, she would calm down and apo
logise shortly afterwards. But she started to feel sad about what she was doing
to her daughter.
Eventually it all went to her head. She and her daughter drove to Vermilion Harb
or in their truck. The woman got out. "Look, Marie" she said. "I dont want to sc
are you anymore. I'm doing this for you." She hugged her daughter and locked the
door.
Very shortly, the SS Anne began to sail out to sea. As it came, the woman jumped
into the water under it and was killed by the propeller. Marie was horrified an
d tried to get out of the car to get help, but it was locked. She was stuck ther
e forever.
In the games when you go on the SS Anne, there is a room that is extremely hard
to find. In it, you will meet a pale woman who is almost skeletal looking. Speak
to her and she will give you a HM, Saw. She will tell you that you can use it a
lmost anytime. If you use it on people however, it will show a very graphic cuts
cene of your Pokemon sawing through the person. You can only use the HM once. Us
e it on the truck to saw the door open and it will show a picture of what's insi
de. The is a skeleton of a young child in the car. It will go into your inventor
y. The description reads "the skeletal remains of a young child who died long ag
o". Go to Lavendar Town and talk to the little girl who asks if you believe in g
hosts. She will say "can I have that?"
Let her have what she wants. She will say "its my skeleton. Thank you. Now never
come to this town again." She will fade away. If you ever enter the town again,
the face of the girl will come up on your screen. She will scream loudly, "GET
OUT! GET OUT!" And if you keep going and don't leave, the power on you GB will t
urn off. If you turn it on again, The face of the girl will come up again. She i
s now a skeleton and screams "I told you already. Now I have to kill you" The sc
reen will go red and a picture of your character's dead and blood-soaked body wi
ll come up. The game will no longer be playable and if you try turning it on, th
e picture will just come up again.
"I suppose I just imagined the white hand on your shoulder" Did she? I think not

YOURLIFEBELONGSTOMENOW
A few years ago, after I had lost my Pokemon Red Version, I decided it would be
a good idea to buy a new cartridge. After looking around for a few days on the i
nternet and in used games stores, I found one on this site that I don t remember t
he name of. it was cheap, only $1 USD, so I decided to get it, since if it didn t
work, I only wasted a dollar.
I ordered it, and then went to sleep that night. I had a very strange dream that
night, I don t remember much of it, but I remember something about the game that
I had ordered. I seem to remember it to be a scary dream, but I could be remembe
ring it wrong.
I waited and I waited for the game to come. I eventually decided that it wouldn t
be coming, so he stole a dollar from me, what s that good for nowadays?
Then, the next day, after two whole months, the game finally came.
At first, I didn t know what it was, it was in a plain white box, completely unmar
ked. No address or return address, so I wondered how the delivery guy knew to co
me to my house. I opened the box, and saw the game inside.
The cartridge was completely blank, but I suspected this to rowdy kids, as I did
it to a few of my games when I was younger. I decided to try it out right away,
and went to get my Game Boy, and put the game inside.
The main menu came up like normal, and I saw there was a saved game. Strangely,
it was my name that was on it, but I just thought that the person must have had
the same name as me.
As the game loaded, I noticed that it was at the very beginning of the game, whi
ch was strange, since it looked like the player had not taken a single step. I w
ent downstairs as normal, and when I talked to the mother, I noticed that she ha
d a name, which is strange in itself considering the fact that in Pokemon games,
they don t give your mother a name.
Stranger yet, however, was the fact that her name was the same as my real mother s
.
It was here I realized this was a hack, but thought that it might be a good hack,
and that the names were simply coincidences.
After this, I did the game as normal, going into the grass above Pallet Town, bu
t instead of seeing Oak in the textbox, I saw the name of my grandfather.
as I saw this, I was starting to get freeaked out. But stuff like this can happe
n. After we got to the lab, and Blue started talking, in the textbox, the name lis
ted was the name of my brother.
I was starting to get very freaked out by now, but I decided to play the game no
rmally. Everything was the same, except for the names. Everyone that was named h
ad the name of one of my family members or friends.
I eventually got to the Elite 4, and this is when it started getting weird. Repl
acing Lorelei was my principle in 5th grade. Replacing Bruno was my former boss
that had fired me. Replacing Agatha was a nanny from my childhood, and replacing
Lance was a boss of the place I had just been fired from a week before.
Then, after defeating my brother , instead of the typical Hall of Fame Scene, the r
oom went black.
Then, a textbox appeared.

When this came up, I was very skeptical. I waited for the game to save, then I t
urned it off.
The next day, I had some very important things to do, which would cost a lot of
money. I called the bank to see what the balance was on my credit card.
As I talked to the lady on the phone, she said that the account had recently bee
n canceled. I told her that I did not do this, and she replied that I had indeed
done it just the day before.
I thought that this was very strange, and did not rest easy that day.
After a while, I decided to call my mother. She answered the phone very question
ingly, even though she had caller ID. She asked who I was, and I told her it was
me.
What she said next was very heartbreaking to me. She said that I couldn t be her s
on, because he was visiting her right at the moment.
I thought her memory was fading, so I called my brother. He answers his phone wi
thout looking at caller ID, so I said that it was me. He asked if I was calling
to rub it in.
This got me curious, so I ask him what he meant. He laughed sarcastically and sa
id that we got in a fistfight the day before and that I had won, giving him a bl
ack eye and a brooken nose.
I hung up the phone without saying goodbye, and decided to get some rest.
When I woke up the next day, I remembered everything that had happened, and deci
ded that my name was useless, so I should change it. So now I have no family, a
different name, and complete wonder over what is happening to my family.

Unown
You've heard of the Unown, haven't you? The black, letter-shaped creatures with
big flat eyes? Have you ever wondered where they came from?
The Unown aren't exactly Pokemon. They are spirits of people who died. Well, act
ually, they were killed. The killer was also murdered.
A long time ago in Violet City, a girl named Anabelle had went down to the ruins
of Alph to play. A middle-aged man lived alone there. She met him down there an
d he invited her inside. She went in and sat down at the table.
Suddenly, the man grabbed a rope and tied Anabelle to the chair. He then took ou
t a sharp skinning knife and... well, its a bit graphic but from the kind of kni
fe he used, Im sure you can figure it out.
He put her bones into a certain kind of liquid until they softened and blackened
. Then he bent them into a shape resembling an A. He took out one of her eyes, f
lattened it and put it into a circular gap in the shape.
After disposing of the skin and unused bones, he placed the A shape in the Ruins
on the wall. This happened to many other Violet city residents, but different l
etters. For a boy named Benjamin, he created a shape resembling a B and so on. H
e eventually had the whole alphabet.
In the ruins, the spirits of the children possessed the shapes. They decided to
get revenge on the man and do this to him. They created the "!" and "?" shapes o
ut of him.
You have a choice in HGSS: you are able to free the children and/or the man. If
you have caught all Unown, put them all in the PC in Violet City, two boxes next
to each other, and put a Jirachi that knows Wish and Doom Desire in one of the
two boxes. When you select Jirachi, Wish and Doom Desire will be usable like HM'
s.
If you choose Wish, the screen will turn white and the Unown, except ? and !, wi
ll be gone. When you exit the PokeCenter, there will be a group of children ther
e. A little girl will walk up to you. She will tell you that her name is Anabell
e, and that her and the other children were trapped. She will thank you and give
you a key item called the Black Bone. The description reads "a black, curved bo
ne that allows UNOWN to learn any TM or HM"
However, if you use Doom Desire, when you exit the PokeCenter, there will be dea
d bodies all over the ground. A man with a knife will walk up to you. a text box
will pop up. It will just say "hehehe..." and the screen will black out. A fade
d picture of an Unown that looks like the first letter of your character's name
will appear for a second. Your DS will turn off and turn back on again and the g
ame will be back to normal, but each time you visit Violet City there is a chanc
e of this happening again.

Kagome, Kagome
Our story begins at the peaceful, yet eerie Eterna Forest. You spot the Old Chat
eau, and decide to wander around in it. Who knows, maybe you'll come across an i
tem, or even a Shiny? You go upstairs, checking every room. Finally, you reach t
he middle room, and out of the corner of your eye, you see the little ghost girl
's sprite. You know that this is part of the game. But this time, something is d
ifferent. Instead of her going twords the door as if she is exiting, she comes i
n as if she was entering. You decide to check this out. After the black loading
screen fades, you walk into the room and see somethng that wasn't there ever bef
ore. On the opposite side of the exit, is a door.
You decide to go through that door. What's worse, you didn't save before enterin
g it. Anyways, as you enter it's noting but black. You try walking around, but y
ou can only walk forward, not even back. No matter, you think to yourself as you
move on. Finally, you reach another door. There would be no point in saving, si
nce you can't head back. So, you go through. You see a little room, much like th
e houses throughout the game. But this room looks old, burned from a fire, and m
essy. You see a circle of kids, male and female. One of the girls gets up and wa
lks twords you. A text box pops up. "Please play with us, even for a little time
." Your expecting a Yes/No option, but there is none. So, your character sits do
wn with the rest of the children.
The children all stand up. "Today we will play" then there are Japanese characte
rs. You know a little Japanese, and you figure out what it says. "Kagome, Kagome
." ...What? Then, your DS screen goes black. You hear a shuffle soud. "We put a
blindfold on you. No peeking! Giggle!" Then, a creepy 8-bit songs starts. It sou
ds like something you would hear in a music box. The children then start singing
.

"Kagome, Kagome."
"Please don't try to run from us."
"Kagome, Kagome."
"What games can we play, can you guess?"
"Before the moon sets again,"
"You can play with us until then!"
"Kagome, Kagome."
"Who is now behind you?"
Then you are given a Yes/No option. You don't quite understand, and you pick No,
hoping something good will happen. You then wait.
...
...
...
"Nope."
Then, the screen turns red. The song plays again, but more distorted. It hurts y
our ears like carzy. You try to turn down the volume, but it's jammed. Then, in
the red screen, black words appear. "Sorry, but you lost."
You hear an ear-piercing scream. You rush to turn off your DS. You manage to tur
n it off, but the song still lingers in your head.
"Kagome, Kagome."
"Children, you just lost the game." (No, you didn't read all of that for "the ga
me", it's part of the song.)
"You can't run away."
"Kagome, Kagome."
"Be put to sleep like the others."

Shadows Of Almia
In early 2008, The new ranger game Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia was released
in Japan, coming 8 months later to the US. Many copies were sold throughout bot
h copies, but there were 20 games (10 in US and 10 in Japan) that were slightly.
..different. These special copies were gold, and the sticker featured Darkrai's
sprite from the game on a white background. Not only was outside different, but
the actual gameplay was changed a little bit too. Things went pretty normal up u
ntil a certain point: when the player is about to enter Team Dim Sun's cargo shi
p. In the normal game, the player must sneak around the boxes without getting ca
ught by team Dim Sun grunts. If the player is caught, the Admin escorts the play
er back to were the player started, and on several occasions, begging the player
to leave Team Dim Sun alone. However in the different version, if the player is
caught by a Team Dim Sun grunt, the screen will go black for a moment, as a Hon
chkrow cry fades in the background. When the screen is light again, the player w
ill be seen lying in a pool of blood as big red letters appear on the screen, sp
elling "GAME OVER". there has been reports that 3 games like those have been fou
nd in the US and 6 in japan....so they are still out there...

PocketMonster Island
Have you ever been so mad at somebody, that you just want them dead? Then after
you cool down, you don't mean it after all? Well, that happened to me. Here is m
y story. Although I don't have much time before they get me just like they got e
verybody else.
My little brother was being annoying, and when I told him to stop, he ran to dad
, saying I hit him or something. I got grounded. I was so mad, I ran up to my ro
om, and got my DS out. I was gonna play Pokemon, even though I was grounded. I l
ocked the door to make sure I didnt get caught. Thats when everything started.
My Pokemon game started normally, but I started on some place called "PocketMons
ters Island" when I knew I had saved in Lavender Town. Upon checking my Pokemon,
their nicknames had been changed. The nicknames spelled out a message. I read "
Who do you want to kill?" If I switched my pokemon, their nicknames would change
to still show the nickname. This was starting to scare me, but, being angry, I
wanted my little brother and dad to die. I walked around the island, and found o
ut there was one of those trees where you walk through them and they take you to
another part of the island.
It was some land with nothing on it, except a sign that said "TRAINER TIPS: The
Pokemon caught and the nicknamed given will be enough to make our desicion." I d
idnt know who they were talking about or what really, but I guess I had to catch
a Pokemon. I went onto another part of the island and there was grass where wil
d pokemon would be. I walked through the grass, and a wild Ursaring appeared. I
caught it, and named it Dad, as it was male. When it was sent to my PC, I heard
screaming from my dad's bedroom. I unlocked my door, and ran into my dads. He wa
s lying on the floor, dead. There was lots of blood and such. (dont wanna go int
o detail, ACC appropriate) I threw up, it was so nasty. STanding there, was a bl
oody Ursaring. Sudenly, something blue, looked like a ghost or spirit, came out
of my dad, and went into the Ursaring. The Ursaring then was sucked into the DS
I was holding.
Suddenly, my person started moving without me hitting buttons. I no longer had c
ontrol of my game! He went into the grass, and caught a Teddiursa. It was automa
tically named Colin, after my little brother. I didnt even want to go check, aft
er I heard the terrible screaming. Suddenly, a blue, ghost like, teddiursa came
through the walls and was sucked into my game. THen, I appeared in front of a PC
. It went straight to Bill's PC. It showed the Ursaring and Teddiursa. They were
bleeding and crying. Then, they were selected and there was an option to "Impri
son them" Then, they were gone.
The escape rope animation was used, and I was in front of the "Pokemon Prison" N
ow, I didnt know what the heck happened to my physcho Pokemon game, but I wanted
to stop. I went into the prison, and saw a Ursaring and a Teddiursa in a cell t
ogether. When I went to talk to them, they actually used words. They knew my nam
e, they seemed to know their names, and they knew their ages. Then, it hit me. M
y dad and brother had been killed in the real word and brought into the pokemon
world to be slaved forever. This dumb game took advantage of my anger.
Now, I have only 10 minutes before they come for me too. Nobody will believe thi
s story, even though it happened. I will die, and nobody will remember me, or ev
en think to check that evil Pokemon game. Oh look, they're here. Goodbye.
"That was a document found on the laptop of the Shaffer family, shortly after th
ey were murdered. We think the child that wrote this was insane, and may have ne
eded mental help. The killer or killers are still out there. More familys have b
een murdered since that day. And the first child always writes a document simila
r to this. All we find are the bodies, a laptop, blood, and a Nintendo DS with P
okemon Leafgreen inside. If the game is turned on, the child starts at the exact
place they saved. Its called Lavender Town"

I'm waiting
I turned the iPod on. A familiar melody started to play; the Lavender Town Theme
. I knew every note, every pause in that song. I should, considering I listen to
it all the time. My iPod said I d played it 332 times. I looked at the screen. 33
2 times huh?
The song ended, I moved my thumb to press the rewind button, but I paused. Surel
y I ve listened to this song enough times haven t I? I thought. Maybe... But one mor
e time can t hurt. I pressed down on the rewind button.
It started with those familiar four notes. But I could hear... something else. T
urning the volume up, I listened hard... A guttural howl played just beneath the
song. I had never heard that noise before... And there was something about that
sound that made my skin crawl.
Whatever it was, I no longer wanted to hear it. Switching the iPod off, I threw
it down on the bed, disgusted.
As I left for school, that noise was all I could think about.

A few weeks later, and I d forgotten the whole howling thing. I went to my iPod in m
y room. It sat, waiting for me. Looking at the screen as I turned it on, I notic
ed something odd; the Lavender Town Theme, play-count 665 times. Thats weird. I
didn t think I had listened to it that much...
I jumped as music started blaring out of the iPod. I hadn t pressed play! The Lave
nder Town Theme - complete with the awful howl - wailed through the headphones t
o me... I tried pressing stop, but it continued playing. It was mid-way through
the song now... I switched it off. But to my shock, it still played. I yelled at
it in fustration. Just shut up!! I thought. Suddenly it did, the song had come
to the end.
But before it continued on to the next track, I swear I heard something else fro
m the iPod;
I m.... waiting.... in the same guttural tone as in the Lanvender Town song...
I hurled the iPod at the wall.
I couldn t sleep that night, partially because my Mom had grounded me for breaking
my iPod, but mostly it was because of the voice I had heard...
So now I didn t have any of my 8-bit Pokemon music. If I wanted to listen to some
of it, I had to dig out my old Gameboy. It was a Saturday, I had nothing to do -
considering I was grounded and all - so I decided to hunt it out.
It was surprisingly easy to find. The Gameboy was sitting in a box at the front
of my wardrobe. But now that I think about it, that wasn t the strangest part; the
Gameboy hadn t been played in years, and yet it wasn t even the slightest bit dusty
.
I went and lay on my bed and turned it on. My character was in Pokemon Tower, su
rrounded by mist. Before I could do anything though, a sudden, unnerving, earspl
itting howl emitted from the Gameboys speakers and something in the game lunged
at the screen. I shrieked and tossed the machine to the ground.
I shivered and hugged my arms around myself. It suddenly seemed colder in the ho
use...
Gingerly I picked the Gameboy up. There was a textbox at the bottom of the scree
n, this all it said;
I m.... waiting....
I woke up for the sixth time that night. I kept having the same dream, like I co
uldn t breath. That something was suffocating me. Every time I woke up, I could se
e a shadow in the corner of my room. A perfectly round shadow, enveloped in gas.
..
It had been a week since the Gameboy incident, and I hadn t been able to live norm
ally since it. I kept... hearing things, whispers. I couldn t quite make out what
the words were, but I was pretty certain that I already knew what it was saying;
I m.... waiting.... Along with that, I kept seeing things, just out of the corner of
my eye... Nothing of any particular shape; just a purply black mass...

My Mom worked late on Fridays, till 10 or sometimes 11pm. So I was by myself whe
n... When it happened...
I was watching TV, surfing through the different channels, when I accidentally f
licked it to snow. The screen hissed and fuzzed white. The hissing was subtly ch
anging though... It s pitch was becoming lower... Soon it was nothing more then a
demonic rumble, but below that noise, a howl, like some animal...
I switched the TV off and sighed. But, to my horror I realised something... The
noise, the howling was still there... coming from the darkened hallway...
Who s there? I yelled, trying to sound brave. Suddenly a voice from the shadows...
I m.... waiting.... I almost passed out right there, but I stood my ground.
Waiting for what? I asked. There was a long silence....
I m waiting.... for.... you.... I shivered. The temperature had dropped.
F-for me? W-why?
Waiting.... for.... you.... It repeated. So.... lonely.... There seemed to be a purp
le-black gas wafting out of the shadows.
Why me? J-just leave me alone!! I yelled at it... Suddenly, the voice laughed mali
ciously.
No. It said. I ve been waiting for you... But now I don t have to any longer...
The voice took form. A Black ball, with large, soulless eyes, surrounded by toxi
c purple gas... It was with this gas it used to kill me... Or at least, kill my
body...
The Gastly dragged my essence - my soul as it were - back, into it s world...
My body was found, it seems, in my room. With my Gameboy, the volume turned up a
s loud as it would go... The Lavender Town tune playing... A song I am now curse
d to hear for the rest of my existence...
It s Gastlys song as it were. A song they use, both to lure, corrupt and imprison
others. So long as my master has it s song, I am bound to it, to do as it commands
....
But maybe.... If I had someone else with me... a friend.... It wouldn t be so lone
ly... Won t you join me?
I m waiting....

Too late
You noticed our town on your way to the next gym, didnt you?
You saw the huge tower you're in right now.
You went inside, wondering what it was.
You felt something wrap around you.
You noticed you couldn't breathe.
You felt your bones being crushed.
You collapsed as you began to die.
You crawled away from the pool of somebody's blood you happened to fall in.
You begged for someone to call an ambulance.
You were unnoticed.
You saw a body in the pool of blood.
You recognised the outfit he was wearing, and the Pokemon that lie dead around h
im.
It was you.
That was your blood.
You're in a grave.
You already died.
TOO LATE

9-11
If you live in America, you should know what happened September 11th, 2001. It w
as a sad day for America. But, only few people know that it was a sad day for pe
ople and pokemon in the game Pokemon Crystal. Pokemon Crystal was released July
29th 2001 in North America. Just a few months before the tragic event. Few peopl
e witnessed it happen on their Gameboy.
Those few dissapeared shortly after the release of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire in
North America.
Team Rocket crashed into Pokemon Tower on September 11th, 2001. This could only
be witnessed if you lived in North America and bought a copy of Pokemon Crystal
in NA. Your gameboy would have seemed to open up and turn on itself, and you wou
ld see it happen. Two rocket grunts crashed into Pokemon Tower with many people
and Pokemon in it. Everybody in that building died that day.
If you had been watching on your Gameboy, you would have seen the people screami
ng and crying for their loved ones. You would have seen the building in flames an
d completely fall apart. The next day, when you got on, Lavender Town would be b
locked off. The guards wouldn't talk about it. They would tell you to go away or
something bad would happen. Nearby towns would talk about how they heard about
it, some would talk about their deceased loved ones lost in the building, and ot
hers would talk about how they were there and were evacuated from Lavender Town.
Far away towns would act completely normal, as if they hadn't heard the news ye
t.
Then you would realize that you havn't seen your rival in awhile. You had been t
o every town, every route after the event, and hadnt seen him. Then, you would re
alize that Lavender Town wasnt even in the same region. How did you travel from
region to region? That wasn't in the game..... Then, it hits you.
Your character is dead. You were traveling to another region to catch new Pokemo
n, and you were in the Pokemon Tower when it crashed. You were a ghost, and nobo
dy knew it. But, your dead in real life, too. You were in one of the twin towers
because it was Bring Your Child To Work Day at your parent's work. You died whe
n the towers collapsed. It was your ghost playing that gameboy. Oh, and the reas
on you dissapeared when Pokemon Saphhire and Ruby was released, is because thats
when they creamated your remains. Poor you.

Do you see it?

My DS Lite is pretty old. There are bits and pieces of it missing. Like some of
the touch screen bits are unresponsive or scratched off. So I use for Game Boy g
ames only. Besides the DSi is so much cooler. But that s not what this is about. T
his is about my encounter with something I will never forget.
As any normal Saturday morning I woke up late. I mean really late. Like at 2pm.
So I made my bed putting all my pokemon dolls back into place. (I should mention
Saturday is when we go to yardsales and fleamarkets.)
Instead of just grabbing breakfast, we went to a resturant. Pretty normal right?
After we were finished I excused myself to the bathroom. That s where I saw it. A
s I finished washing my hands. I look down to see a Pokemon Yellow game. (And yo
u probably thought I d find it at some weirdo s yard sale.) I already had one, but h
ey, it is a classic.
I hold onto it all day and can t wait to see if it still works. So as soon as I ge
t home I power up my DS lite and stick it in. (I know the game doesn t fit in the
slot.) It s fits which is strange to me because the yellow I bought is sitting on
the other side of the room in my SP. But I think Whatever .
Opening screen same as always. There was no previous saved game on it though. Wh
ich was really weird, it had some crazy scratch marks on it. I selected new game
.
At first nothing happened and I turned the volume up to see if it was frozen. Bu
t then some words popped up. Would You Like To Transfer From Pokemon Dungeon Expl
orers Of Darkness?
Which is odd. Because you can t transfer, there is no other generation in that gam
e. But I chose YES. Only because I remembered I had a Dialga for a team mate. I
really love Dialga.
As it transferred the team over from the DS cartridge slot, I didn t stop to think
about what the sprites would look like. As soon as the transfer was complete it
faded to a red screen. And I heard Dialga s cry. But it was distorted. And on the
screen Primal Dialga fades in. This sprite looked advanced. Even for the unrele
ased games Black and White.
I am a huge fan of Primal Dialga. So I didn t really notice at first. Then Primal
Palkia faded in next to Dialga. And I sort of had a really bad feeling. The scre
en flashes to and overview of Japan with the regions that were used for Kanto, J
ohto, Hoenn, and Shinnoh higlighted in yellow.
It was too advanced for Yellow. It was in astonishing color. And just like in th
e part were you jump into the distortian world in Platinum, Dialga comes at you.
The whole I was sitting there thinking this is awesome!
After that it comes to a scene in Shinnoh. On Iron Island. Everything is crushed
. Nothing but flat land and rubble. Riley and Byron s sprite were their but looked
as if they were laying on the ground.
Then to the lighthouse in Sunnyshore. Also in crumbles with Volkners sprite look
ing as if it s underwater. Then to the Oreburgh mine. In crumbles, Roarks sprite u
nder what looks to be a rock. It showed all these other highlights of Shinnoh in
ruins. At that point I was terrified. This was my favorite batch of Gym Leaders
and NPCs.
Then the same with Hoenn and Johto. And when it came to Kanto I held my breath.
But it was perfect. Nothing wrong with it. And then the sprites of Primal Dialga
and Palkia popped up and seemed to engage in battle.
A Mew and Mewtwo sprite showed up and the text box said Dialga and Palkia DIED Not
normal. So I laughed it off. But there was no reason to laugh. It flashed to Mt
. Silver. Red was burried under some rubble. And all his Pokemon seemed to be tr
ying to dig him out.
The screen faded. And then a sprite I had never seen before came up. He looked a
s if he was a real photograph and he was angry. He said nothing.
A map of New York popped up. Then a very Pokemon styled map covered it marking t
owns a places. After that sprites of a Black dragon and a White Dragon came into
view. They flashed a few times and turned red. The whole screen turned red.
Very realistic photos of places in New York burning, people dying, and rubble fr
om collapsed building popped up. A world map came up and a three spots in Japan
were crossed out and so was a spot in New York.
All the sprites of NPCs and a few important pokemon came up. (Blood-covered) and
angry.
The text read.

Do you see
it ?
People get jealous easily.
We are no exception.
I immediately yanked the game card out. And threw it out the window. I have no i
dea who has it now. But, I never wanted to finish that game. Never.
The previews for Black and White are scaring me and I just wish they d stop making
new generations. I ve learned my lesson.
But they haven t.

Skulls Of The Pyre

In the region of Hoenn, there is no pokemon tower. No organized resting place fo
r the bodies, graves and ghosts of the deceased.
There is Mount Pyre. An entire mountain, that serves as one massive, chaotic gra
vesite for the region. It s tempting to go there, test your wits and see if you ca
n get through it. By all means, go, take the risk. But here s a word of warning;
If you see a skull, just a skull, be it floating in the air or resting on the gr
ound. Turn away from it and flee, as quietly as you can, don't let it see you an
d don t let it hear you.
Duskull are everywhere, and if you look into the sockets of it s skull you ll see it s
red eyes, it s casting hypnosis, try not to fall asleep. If you do fall asleep, t
ry and wake yourself up as quickly as possible. You ll be able to feel it, the dar
kness that surrounds a duskull, taking shape and wrapping around you. Try and wa
ke yourself up, fast. You might only be wrapped up to the knees, that s okay, you
can live without lower legs. If you sleep through this, there s no hope.
If it hasn t wrapped up your arms, and you can move them, reach up to your face. T
he skull will have attached itself there, pull it off. Really pull at it, they re
stubborn. If it wont come off, and you still have use of your arms, grab a rock
and smash the skull off your head. Use a lot of force, it s going to hurt, but it
will save you if it works.
If your arms become tangled up in the black bandages you might as well smash you
r head on the rocks, try to crack the skull off the outside of your face.
If you do get it off, and you still have some ability to move, leave as fast as
you can and go to a hospital, your limbs may be useless but at least you got awa
y!
If you can t get it off, the duskull will wrap you in its bandages entirely. They
wrap around your chest all too tightly and restrict your breathing, they wrap ar
ound your neck and choke you, they even wrap around your head and around the sku
ll on top of your head, covering your mouth and nose.
It has control now, there s no point in struggling anymore. Don t worry, you won t die
. No, you won t ever die, you ll be strangled by the bandages as they press down on
your chest and tighten at your neck. The new Dusklops simply uses your body as i
ts own physical form.
Helping a pokemon to evolve is a noble thing to do after all, so maybe it s not al
l bad. With the air flow to your brain restricted, you ll start to lose brain func
tionality anyway. Eventually you won t even remember you were human.

Chosen
It started out innocently enough.
I bought a cart of Fire Red from my local GameStop. But let me stop you there. T
his isn t your average, Someone made a really twisted hack and I happened to have t
he misfortune to buy it. No, it was just Fire Red. I wanted it because I had a DS
Lite, and therefore, a GBA port to transfer those mons from my Kanto adventure a
nd unlock certain pokemon in my Diamond version.
I checked the cart as soon as I got home, much like anyone else who buys a pre-p
layed game. I m not saying the last owner didn t know what he was doing, but his tea
m was a little mediocre. He was on the bridge just south of Lavender Town, and h
is strongest pokemon were a level 36 Blastoise, and a Snorlax. I don t remember th
e details very clearly on the rest of the team, nor on the Snorlax s status very c
learly. I decided to start over.
I renamed my trainer Satoshi, after the original Japanese name of Ash Ketchum. E
verything is fine when I play the game. I ve just made it to Viridian forest with
my faithful pokemon by my side. Palmer (Male Bulbasaur) and Tarzan (Male Mankey)
are both level eight, while Jerry (Male Rattata) and Yari (Male Spearow) are le
vel six. This is where things start going south.
I ve been feeling very strange recently. All of my free time is now glued to the s
creen of my Nintendo SP. My pokemon never level up I can t find any wild pokemon to
fight anymore The colors are now washed out, almost monochrome now. I can t hear a
nything. My character seems listless now, as he s only moving at about half his no
rmal speed. Viridian Forest won t let me pass, so I m going back to Viridian City, a
nd see what s going on.
As I reach Viridian City, I hear this awful screeching. When my sprite steps ins
ide the city limits, he stops and the screen shakes as a gate materialized behin
d him. I walk down in the town, trying to get to Pallet, but as I pass by the Po
kemon Center, the screen shakes again. I walk down and notice that my path is on
ce again blocked, but this time by boulders. The only option left to me is the V
ictory Road, even though I don t have any badges.
I take a chance, and notice that the gate is set up much like in Gold and Silver
. I try to go up, but two silent guards keep pushing me away. I try the Mt. Silv
er path. Again, I meet with resistance. All I can do is go down. But when I exit
This This isn t right
I m at the Ruins of Alph. How is this possible? This is supposed to be a remake of
the first titles. Johto wasn t even around yet. I then start to hear that hauntin
g melody, the Unown singing their simple little tune. I have no control, Satoshi
moves toward the ruins on his own now. As soon as he enters, the screen goes bl
ack.
Then I hear the tones The tones from the Crystal opening. I see eyes at first, be
fore I realize what s going on. The Unown are trying to speak to me. I look closel
y and see what they spell

I couldn t believe my eyes. I could feel a warm sensation flowing down my face. Pr
essing a finger to my lip, I lifted to see something thick and red. It was blood
. I could feel my life force fading as my shirt was stained a deep crimson. I dr
opped my SP as I fainted dead away onto my bed.
When I woke up, I noticed that maybe an hour or two had passed, and my clothes w
ere clean. My SP was still on, and I picked it up. Opening it, I saw something t
hat made a chill run down my spine. I was at the start of a battle with a Ghost,
yet despite this being a GameBoy Advance version, I saw the old GB sprite stari
ng at Satoshi. I hit the A button, but nothing happened. I pressed it again, and
noticed that the music had shifted slightly higher in pitch, the Ghost turning
slightly. Now panicking, I jam on the A button rapidly, causing the music to ris
e steadily and the Ghost to turn to face me.
Satoshi faded from sight. The Ghost got bigger and bigger until it s chilling dead
eyes were staring at me from behind the screen, it s mouth twisted in that devili
sh grin.
A text box opened right underneath it s mouth:
Michael You don t exist anymore. You belong to me now. Now DIE and fade away
I heard an ear-splitting scream. Everything went black.
I woke up in a cold sweat, yet now feel hollow inside. A grin creeps across my f
ace as I realize it worked. People on the streets now recoil when they see my da
rkened face. Whenever someone cries out in terror, I laugh like a madman. In my
hand, I grip that now bloody red cartridge, and I will never let go. After all,
even if his body is mine, I can t give Michael to just anybody

Where Is Your God Now?

It had been a while since I played Pokemon Pearl. I decided to boot it up to psy
ch myself up for Black and White. I d saved in Solaceon town (I considered it my ho
me base of sorts) in the Pokemon center, so I walked up to my PC to see how my po
kemon were doing.
Everything seemed in order until I got to Box 16. A small group of Unown was sit
ting inside. Normally, you wouldn t find this weird, but I d only ever caught 1 Unow
n (uncreatively named F as that s what letter it was.)
H O A R D E

Haha. Very funny. Maybe my dad or brother had picked up the game and caught some
stuff in the Unown ruins that were off to the side of the town. I looked at eac
h one s stats - all had low health, strangely enough. That and the catch date read
as that morning.
I hadn t even touched it that morning. I scrolled through my other boxes, checking
the pokemon one by one, and again, everything seemed fine. Then I reached Box 5
, which I d nicknamed Legend2 (this being pokemon I am sure you can guess I kept leg
endaries in it. The other Legend box was Box 4, as I couldn t fit them all into one
box.)
I d had a Phione, Manaphy, a Movie 10 Darkrai, Shaymin, an event Regigigas, and a
Pokemon Ranger Darkrai in the box. Everything but the Darkrai pair had 0 HP.
what. Did they resent being in the boxes or something? I was suddenly glad that
I d kept the movie Arceus in my party.
I scrolled to Box 4 ( Legend ). Everything in that box was KO d as well, save for the
Mewtwo I had ported from FireRed.
A distorted Darkrai cry suddenly sounded in the speakers. I scrolled back to Leg
end2 and found that the Pokemon Ranger Darkrai had been KO d. The Movie 10 Darkrai
had also moved from its previous position in the box. And there were now Unown
in the empty spaces below the KO d Pokemon
S U F F O C

This time a distorted Mewtwo cry played. Looking back into Legend, I saw that th
e Mewtwo had fainted.
A cacophony of Pokemon cries began to play. I scrolled through the boxes and saw
everything s HP at 0.

Box 16 s Unown now spelled
Y O U R
T U R N
I shut off the PC and ran from the Pokemon Center. Unfortunately, the Darkrai wa
s stalking me. One by one my party pokemon were KO d as I walked, until only the m
ovie Arceus remained. I assumed this was because it was at the back of my party.
Eventually, [ARCEUS fainted!] popped up in a text box. My trainer whited out, b
ut I was not taken to a Pokemon Center. The screen instead faded to black.
One by one, Unown appeared on the screen, eventually spelling out:
WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?
Hitting buttons did nothing at this point so I reset. It never happened again, b
ut I ll always regard that Movie Darkrai with suspicion

Darkrai used '...'!

It had been a couple of months since I'd last played Pokemon Pearl. But...it was
strange. I felt as if it were calling to me, wanting me to slot it into my DS a
gain. So I did, not knowing the risk I was taking...
I grinned as the starting sequence started up, and entered Jubilife City. I flic
ked open my Pokemon Page - a level 89. Palkia, level 99. Bidoof, level 40. Medic
ham, level 99. Unown, level 86. Gengar and a level 4. Rioulu that I had been tra
ining up.
Infront of me sat my laptop, and I switched it on, eager to see if there were an
y cheats or glitches I could try.
3 hours later I my sprite stood infront of Darkrai. I had followed an online tut
orial on how to find Darkrai without using an AP. And when it had worked, I hadn
't believed it. I cried out in joy when I saw my only Master Ball capture it, an
d I saw it had been transfered into "Box 50" in the PC. I did a double-take. Box
50? There was no Box 50...I thought it only went up the Box 19, or something.
Neverless, when I soon returned to a Pokecentre, I looked into the PC. Sure enou
gh, after Box 19, there was an extra Box 50. I thought nothing of it, switched t
he DS off, and went to bed.
The next morning, I switched on my DS and went back onto Pokemon. As I looked ba
ck into my Pokemon section, I noticed that all of my Pokemon were in red and had
'fainted'. Except that, instead of my level 4. Rioulu, the Darkrai sat in it's
place, in full health and not fainted. As I exited from the Pokemon page, I retu
rned to Jubilife and decided to travel towards my hometown to see 'Mom' again.
After I had entered my house, I decided to talk to her, but instead of her sayin
g the normal 'Oh, why don't you have a rest?' she screamed: 'Take it away! It...
it's...!" she stuttered, before her sprite disappeared. I sat there, stunned.
A message popped up suddenly, from 'unknown': "She...is no more. Your pokemon...
are no more. You...are no more..."
I was rushed to the battle scene. "Darkrai wants to battle!" the screen blared.
I tried to turn down the music and turn off the DS, but both of the switches see
med to be jammed. I selected "Run", but as soon as I did so, it would give me so
me glitched up information. I almost cried. After playing pokemon so many times
before, this had never happened! At least...at least when I'd never caught Darkr
ai.
"Darkrai used '...'!" the screen read, and as I couldn't send out any normal pok
emon because they had all fainted (and I was stupid enough not to heal them) MY
sprite's HP went down.
My HP was slowly chipped off, and the screen went blood-red as the last of my HP
was incinerated. Slowly, a skull with holes for eye-sockets and blood dripping
out of them slowly slid onto the screen.
As it read 'Game Over' I knew my childhood faith in pokemon had been destroyed..
.forever.

Lost Silver: Gold's POV

Dying
I am dying
Please don t leave me alone
I want one more chance with life
Don t worry
I LL TAKE CARE OF YOU.
Where am I Gold mumbled as he opened his eyes. There were five Unown dancing around
him and laughing gleefully. The trainer bolted to his feet and stared at the fi
ve alphabet pokemon, wondering what they were so gleeful about.

Leave? Gold mumbled. He looked around, searching for an exit, but there didn t seem
to be any. With a shock, he realized he was not at home. This place was unlike a
ny area he had ever seen before. He was fenced inside a large square with a tall
pillar in the center. The Unown began to circle him, taunting him. Gold tried t
o recall how he got in this creepy place but his mind was blank.
Worried for his life, Gold checked his pokeballs. To his shock there was only on
e pokeball in his possession: his Cyndaquil. Normally he kept a whole team with
him and his starter Cyndaquil had long evolved after he fought gym leaders. By t
he time he was a champion, it had become a Typhlosion. Pokemon don t unevolve so whe
re did this Cyndaquil come from?
Maybe it was a baby of his Typhlosion. That had to be it.
Upon further investigation, Cyndaquil seemed to be on his last breath of life. G
old searched his pockets for any stamina medicine, but his bag was empty. This w
as odd he always had at least twenty different potions and healing items in case o
f an emergency. Was this some kind of joke? Or was he robbed?
I ve got to get out of here
The Unown began to laugh again. Gold pressed Cyndaquil to his chest and looked a
round the room. The fence was entirely closed. There was no way in or out of it.
Gold studied the pillar in the center and, to his biggest surprise, found a set
of stairs behind it.
Maybe I ll find another way down Gold mused as he walked up them.
The Unown followed him, annoying him with their calls and their continuous linin
g up to spell out LEAVE. But what else was he suppose to do?
The room he entered was utterly dark. Thankfully he had a fire pokemon in his ar
ms. He ordered Cyndaquil to use Flash and the room lit up. Gold screamed in terr
or.
The room was blood coloured. There were strange sounds coming from the hall in t
he south like more Unowns. The room was a setting in heck itself, Gold figured. He
turned to go back downstairs but the stairs had vanished.
Just where am I?
Gold grabbed his pokegear. The map function was always accurate and maybe a litt
le music would help chase away the freaky sounds. But his pokegear was blank. Th
ere was no clock, no phone function and no radio. His map was blank and only sho
wed three question marks, indicating the map had no idea where he was.
Scared out of his wits, Gold began to run. The Unown kept following him but he d
idn t care. He had to get out of here for his sake and Cyndaquil s. His Cyndaquil was
extremely weak and needed a doctor right away.
The more Gold ran. the darker the room became. Finally, he reached the end of th
e hall. To his disappointment, there was no stairs or door. Only a sign. Hoping
it would give him a clue as to where he was, Gold read the sign.
TURN BACK NOW.
Sure, I d love to, Gold grumbled. There was a loud rumbling sound and Cyndaquil utte
red a weakened cry before going limp in Gold s arms. A sudden pain gripped Gold an
d he screamed. The dark closed in
When Gold awoke, there were six new Unown hovering over him. They seemed to be s
aying something

What? No! Gold yelled. He tried to stand but he had no feeling left in his arms. T

to stand and Gold looked down at himself. He realized why he had no feeling in h
is arms because his arms were gone.
WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON? Gold yelled. First I m trapped and now my Cyndaquil s dead a
nd my ARMS ARE GONE! WHO S SICK IDEA IS THIS?
YOU MADE HIM USE FLASH WHEN HE WAS TOO WEAK
YOU KILLED HIM
Gold realized he appeared to be in a graveyard. Freaked out and wishing he had h
is arms back, he started to run around until he froze. Something was pulling him
under. The dark moved in
Red. Everywhere. Gold thought he was back in the blood red room from before, but
he was wrong. This room looked like the first room he was trapped in, but so so
red. He felt something wet drip from his eyes and attempted to rub his face on
his sweater. To his shock, his legs were now gone as well and he had turned whit
e. The liquid dripped off his face and into his sweater. It was red, just like e
verything else.
Gold realized he was crying blood.
Five new Unown swirled around him. They were followed by a red Celebi who flew u
p to Gold from the side. The five Unown lined up and Gold read what they spelled
out.

I m dying ? Gold guessed. The red Celebi nodded and faced him. Gold could hardly suppres
s a scream. The red Celebi seemed to be torn in half. One green eye stared at hi
m, one hand pointed an accusing finger, one small foot kicked around in the air,
supported by only one wing.
I SAID I WOULD TAKE CARE OF YOU
NOW COME WITH ME
THERE IS SOMEONE WAITING TO MEET YOU
The red Celebi motioned for the Unowns to move so the five pokemon picked Gold u
p with their Hidden Power and started forward. Gold shuddered, feeling colder th
an he had ever felt in his life. He wondered who it was waiting for him.
At first Gold thought he was alone with only the pokemon around him. But as they
ventured further down this creepy hall, they passed a bunch of mangled humans t
hat were pale like Gold. They didn t speak but they did follow Gold and the six po
kemon with their hollow gazes. A sudden realization dawned on Gold. These people
were all trainers and famous ones at that. They were all either Champions or form
er Gym Leaders or members of the Elite Four. But no matter how much power you ha
d in life, it doesn t help you escape your inevitable death. And now it was Gold s t
urn in heck s waiting room.
He really was dying.
YOU SEE ALL THOSE TRAINERS THERE
THEY THOUGHT THEY WERE THE BEST
THEIR PARTNERS DIED ONE BY ONE
AND THEN IT WAS THEIR TURN
A figure stood up ahead. His back was to Gold and he was as pale and ghostly as
the others were. The Unowns hovered behind Gold and the Celebi flew in front of
him.
HE WAS MEANT TO BE THE BEST
AND HE WAS
UNTIL YOUR TIME CAME
The figure turned, revealing the legendary trainer Red. Gold stared at him in sh
ock, seeing how much time could change a person. He first met Red on top of Mt.
Silver so many years ago but that was when they were both young and powerful. No
w they were long forgotten
Without a word, Red sent out his Pikachu. It looked powerful but so sad and lost
at the same time. Celebi hovered in front of Gold, awaiting an order.
I WILL MAKE HIM PERISH WITH MY SONG
Pikachu struck itself, lowering his speed but raising his offensive and defensiv
e stats. Gold didn t think it was possible for Pikachu to learn Curse but this was
n t an ordinary battle.
Perish Song.
Pikachu ran at Celebi, striking the one side that was there but Celebi hardly fl
inched. The song was still in affect. Warily, Pikachu ran at Celebi again, putti
ng all his sadness into one attack. Celebi recoiled, hardly holding on. But Cele
bi smirked and flew at Pikachu, stealing some blood from him and using it to hea
l itself.
Pain Split
Pikachu shot a strange look at Celebi, making it freeze. The song came into effe
ct and claimed Celebi first, making it vanish. Pikachu soon followed, fading out
of existence. Who had won? Gold looked up in question at the boy who was once h
is idol and saw that Red no longer had a head.
The darkness came
Gold opened his eyes to find himself back in his bedroom. He looked around, wond
ering if this was a joke but it was his actual room. His PC, radio and TV were a
ll there. Had it all been a dream? He couldn t wait to get downstairs and see Mom!
He tried to move but there was no feeling left in his body. Six new Unowns lined
up and faced Gold with a freezing glance.

No more Gold mumbled. No more He looked down to see what the Unowns meant. His body w
s gone. All that remained of him now was a head. He, Gold, was soon to be no mor
e.
The Unown made his head float and Gold reflected on how pitiful he seemed to be.
This was the end of his life. Memories of his earlier years came flooding back
to him. He wasn t really an eleven year old boy, but an old man who had more than
enough of life to satisfy himself. He had traveled through five regions in his l
ife: Johto, Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh and Isshu and had collected eight badges from a
ll regions, resulting in forty badges total. He became an idol to pokemon traine
rs everywhere. And now, at the end of his life, he was granted one last chance t
o go back to being an eleven year old boy and say good bye to everything.
His first pokemon was his Cyndaquil. It seemed fitting he got to see his old fri
end at the beginning again as well. Gold tried to smile but it was becoming pain
ful to move. He let the Unowns lead him down the stairs and to the first floor.
There was no Mom, of course. She had been dead for a long time. They went throug
h the door into a world of darkness and didn t stop until they found Gold s body as it
was before this all started.
All arms. All legs. Normal colour. Gold looked upon his body sadly before whispe
ring, Good bye forever Gold
It was time to go. The body vanished into the darkness. A haunting chill surroun
ded Gold and he heard an evil sounding laugh echo from all around him.
HAHAHAHAHAHA
IT S YOU NIGHTMARE
He was back at the graveyard. The large grave he found himself in after Cyndaqui
l died turned out to be his own. He was no more. His head had vanished. He was t
ruly a ghost of the past now. His badges were gone presumably given to his family
or buried with him and stolen by grave robbers. The gym leaders he won them from
were all long dead as well.
Six new Unowns circled the ghost with a final message. Gold whispered his last w
ords sadly before closing his eyes forever.
I m dead.
REST IN PEACE GOLD.
Banette
I was your birthday present. I sat in that box for days, it was so dark in there
... But then you tore open the box and pulled me out. You hugged me tightly, and
in that instant I fell in love with you.
A doll! you squealed in delight. A doll? Was... Was that what I was?
You gave me a name, you talked to me, even though I never talked back. You showe
d me off at school and proclaimed your love for me. And I loved you even more.
You took me on vacation, my grey fur turned brown with all the sand I was plaste
red with. When you were sad, you held onto me and cried. Inside I cried with you
. I didn t like to see you hurt.
You cuddled me at night, I comforted you when you had nightmares. Sometimes you
forgot me, and I d get lonely, but when you remembered and you hugged me, I forgav
e you because I loved you...
You grew older, I remained the same. You didn t take me with you everywhere anymor
e, but you still let me sleep on your bed. When your friends came over, you hid
me out of the way, you never explained why, but I still loved you.
One day you put me in a box with other toys. You left me in there for such a lon
g time... I became so lonely, I missed you, but there had to be a reason for you
doing that, right?

A long time later, you opened the box again. It was so bright, and you looked so
different, you were older... You grabbed me roughly and tossed me on your desk.
I thought we were going to play a game like we used to... I was wrong.
You grabbed a needle and thread. You grabbed a zipper...
Shut your stupid mouth. you snarled. I didn t understand. You punctured my lip with
the needle. Inside I screamed in pain. You stitched the zipper over my mouth.
Why? Why were you hurting me?! I loved you, but still you did this to me.
You left me on the desk, and went out with your friends... I didn t see you for da
ys.
When you came back, you seemed angry. I worried for you, I wanted you to be happ
y. But you glared at me.
Why are you still smiling?! you yelled at me. I wasn t smiling, not on the inside...
You grabbed some pins. You wanted to wipe the smile off my face for good. You st
uck them in my eyes first. Then my stomach, my arms and legs. Lastly you cut mos
t of my tail off, so the ends would fray... I wanted to love you still...
Eventually you threw me in the garbage... So... I was trash to you now? You took
your pain out on me? You neglected me, you tortured me... After you destroyed m
y body and my love, you threw me away...
Well... Now I hate you...
My hate gives me strength. Strength enough to drag myself out of the garbage. St
rength enough to become a nightmare.
I stagger to the house, your pet Growlithe barks. I pull a pin out from my leg..
.
The Growlithe isn t moving anymore. I walk on. I m getting stronger...
I already know where your room is. I know that you re asleep.
Moving is painful. The pins hurt me, I can t open my mouth either. I m on the stairs
now, though. Not much further to go...
Your door is ajar, I can slip through the gap. You sleep on your back, as you ve a
lways done.
I stuggle to get on the bed. Its so tall, and I m only little. But I get up there
eventually.
I m walking up your side, but you sleep on unaware. I get up and stand on your che
st. You grumble in your sleep, I m making it difficult to breath aren t I?
Your eyes flutter open, I look down at you. You look up at me. You start to scre
am, and I pull a pin out of my eye... And stick it into yours.
You scream louder. I stab another pin, this time, in your throat. Now you can t ma
ke a noise, but you still live... I grab a zipper. One that I found with me in t
he garbage.
I can t talk, but you already know what I m going to do don t you?
I am your nightmare now!

Pelipper's Revenge

Four years ago....

I was fooling around with my Emerald version. And an Action Replay. Through expi
ramentation, I had discovered that by using a code to make you end up in a speci
fic place when you walk through a door allowed me to, with good timing, make off
with three of the Battle Factory's rental Pokemon, in exchange for my current t
eam. I had boxed all my Pokemon except a random Snorunt, so it was no problem.
As I recieved my rentals and was led to the door, I pressed the buttons. Which o
nes I pressed were uncertain. This was four years ago. But I digress.
As expected, when I walked through the door, I found myself in the Mirage Tower.
I checked my party. There, at level 100, bearing my trainer ID, were three of t
he Battle Factory's rentals. To this day, however, I only remember one of them;
a Slowking.
Anyway, I went off to some city to restore my party. Castform... Linoone... Shif
try... Swampert... Wynaut... Oops.
My Pelipper was gone.
This was bad. Evidentially, I had forgotten to remove Pelipper from my team befo
re stealing the rentals.
I was a little broken up, I fully admit. After all, Pelipper had been part of my
team since Ruby. Pelipper's life flashed before my eyes... A rookie trainer and
his Nuzleaf weakening a wild Wingull.... Wingull evolving.... Pelipper's well-t
imed Protects allowing me to own Norman's ridiculous Slaking.... Random scenes o
f Pelipper claiming victory in battle, or flying me wherever I told it to....
Eventually, I got over it, and captured another Wingull. Same place as I caught
the first one in Ruby as well; Route 210.

PRESENT DAY:
The years had passed. Pelipper's disappearance faded from my mind. I had since r
eleased the stolen rentals. My new Wingull evolved into a Pelipper and followed
the rest of my team from Emerald to Pearl, from Pearl to Platinum, and from Plat
inum to HeartGold.
One day, I was rooting through a pile of junk in my room (I am by no definition
a clean freak), and found my Emerald Version. For lack of anything better to do,
I decided I'd start a new game. After all, I had made sure that everything of v
alue got transferred over to Pearl, all those years ago. I booted up the game, a
nd clicked New Game on the menu. So far everything was going smoothly.
Then, the screen went black. For a moment, no music began to play. Then, I heard
it. Mt. Pyre's music, only low-pitched and slower than usual. I frowned. This w
as not normal. Then, a dialogue box popped up on the screen, and words formed, b
ut with agonizing slowness.
"...You...
...You abandoned me..."
My eyebrows raised. Was my Emerald version somehow altered from being buried in
a pile of junk in a teenager's bedroom for who knows how long?
"...You...
...You KILLED me..."
At this point, my eyes were wide. I started to sweat. What the heck was going on
here?
The unnerving text continued, still slowly.
"...You killed me...
...Killed me with your greed..."
At that point, the screen flashed white for a moment, but in that moment, I coul
d easily make out a sihlouette, that of a Pokémon I knew all too well. At that poi
nt, my lips saw fit to speak.
"P-p-pelipper?" I whispered.
"...You killed me at the Battle Factory..."
"No..." I whispered. I could not help it. A terrible sense of dread crept throug
hout my body, though I knew it was only a game.
"...Forgot I was there...
...Left me for dead...
...And for what? Three POKéMON...
...They do not belong to you...
...You do not deserve them...
...Murderer..."
The screen flashed again, once more exposing Pelipper's sihlouette, only this ti
me with blood-red spots where the eyes ought to have been.
I was close to tears at this point. "No..." I gasped. "Pelipper! I didn't mean t
o!"
At this point, the text continued.
"...And now, you seek to destroy the evidence...
...Your kind don't deserve new games...
...However...
...I will let you start a new game.
...We shall see how far you go...
...Mufufufufu......"
At that point, the game started acting normal. Professor Birch greeted me and as
ked me my name. Starting to calm down, I began playing. Everything went normal.
One thing unnerved me, however. When I talked to the Vigoroth movers, instead of
their cry and the weird text that accompanied it, they made no noise, and the t
ext box read "...".
Nothing else weird happened, so I left the house and proceeded as normal. Then i
t came time to recieve my starter, so I proceeded to Route 101.
"H-H-HELP MEEEEE!"
Odd, I don't remember Birch's cry for help being in all caps. My sprite hurried
over. And I almost passed out in shock.
A Pelipper was chasing Birch.
As it had Birch cornered, Birch said to me, "Hey, you! Over there! In my bag! Th
ere's a POKé BALL!"
Perfectly normal, right? Wrong. It continued;
"It's going to kill me!"
Unnerved greatly by that, I hurridly picked Treecko, and the battle began.
This was wrong. As soon as the battle began, I knew this was going to end very,
very badly. The music, rather than the normal wild Pokémon music, was a low-pitche
d, slow, distorted version of the weather trio battle music. And as the sprite s
lid across the screen, I almost gagged. Pelipper's sprite had no eyes, just empt
y sockets. There was a large crack in the side of the bill, and bones were pokin
g out of its wings. Its cry sounded like the cry it makes when it faints. It was
male and level 100, but its HP appeared to be at one.
And the text read "Your PELIPPER appeared!"
I sent out Treecko, and pointless though it was, selected Pound.
Oddly enough, Pelipper didn't attack first, though it might as well have. Instea
d of using Pound, the text read "TREECKO is too scared to move!"
Then Pelipper used Ice Beam. One of the moves my own Pelipper knew.
Treecko fainted. The game, however, said "TREECKO died!"
And then my sprite came into battle. More text appeared.
"PELIPPER: ...You will never kill again..."
"PELIPPER used SHOCK WAVE!" Another move my Pelipper had known.
Without any more text, the attack animation happened. My sprite slid downward. A
nd the screen turned red.
Then, a text box appeared.
"PELIPPER: ...Now I can rest..."
And the screen went black.
After four seconds, the most horrible screeching noise assaulted my ears. Far wo
rse than the usual game-freeze screech. It was inhuman, unearthly. I quickly shu
t the game off.
Foolishly hoping that would fix the problem, I turned the game back on. But no G
ame Boy Advance logo. Immediately, the screen went black and a text box appeared
. Words appeared, with the same excruciating slowness as Pelipper's had.
"...Now it's SNORUNT's turn..."

Perish Song

This is the only choice

This decision can t be wrong
I give Death my voice
In this, my Perish Song
Come with me to the grave
I ll lead you there; though it s going to hurt
For me, you must be brave
As we become one with the dirt
It is time now, the stroke of three
Come now with me
We can live happily
In death, you have to agree

Come with me all souls of Pokémon

Come now to the realm beyond
Look around, but don t look upon
The face of Death is there; let us abscond
STILL BURNING
Ever heard the stories about Houndoom? The ones that say if it burns you, the pa
in will never go away?
Nonsense, right? Just another old story from a more superstitious age.
I thought so too.
I still couldn t tell you what it was even doing there, in the fields south of Vio
let City. I also couldn t tell you what I was thinking when I dashed out to protec
t my little Hoppip.
All I knew was there it was, creeping up behind my dear pokémon, ready to pounce.
Why didn t I just call Hoppip back? I mean, they built pokéballs with that function
for a reason, right? Believe me, I asked myself the same question even as I foun
d myself diving to the floor, cradling it in my arms.
For a brief moment, it seemed as though, miraculously, we had both evaded its at
tack. Then the pain hit. If you ve ever been burned, and you think you can imagine
how it felt, think again. I ve never experienced anything close to the pain that
ripped through me.
For some reason, rather than finishing us off, the Houndoom fled. Perhaps, knowi
ng what awaited me, it was satisfied.
- - -
Somehow, I staggered back to town before the pain overcame me completely. What f
ollowed I do not know, but when I awoke again, I found myself surrounded by my f
amily.
A doctor assured me that they had treated the burn. That the pain would soon pas
s. What did they know? They had no idea. I d set off from New Bark town with Cynda
quil by my side. I d been careful, of course, but I d been burned a couple of times
since then. I knew what a normal burn felt like, and there was nothing normal ab
out this. The mark upon my arm may already be fading, but the pain is as strong
as it was the moment that flame washed over my skin.
- - -
It s a struggle to speak. Barely able to move, Scarcely able to think.
I ve given Quilava back to Elm, I can t stand the sight of it anymore.
I know I shouldn t, know it s not to blame; it s not what burned me.
But I hate it. I really hate it.
I ve let the others go, found a nice secluded spot. They know how to battle, and t
hey should be okay. There s no way I could continue my journey in this state, my d
ream of being a trainer is over now. How could I possibly battle while dealing w
ith this constant pain?
How can I live like this?
I can t live like this.
Can t go on like this.
- - -
I m dead now.

But, I m still burning.

I M STILL BURNING.

The ENDING
One day, I was at my local gamestop. It wasn t a haunted one, the cashier acted no
rmal, nothing strange. It had been a year after the release of the DS so I decid
ed for the fun of it to get a Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. They only had a use
d Sapphire for $20. I wanted a new one, but those types of games were pretty har
d to come across with all the companies only making DS games. Anyway, I bought t
he game and headed home.
I m the type that whenever I get a new game I play with it for around 3 hours. Any
way, I booted up the game, preparing to see what the Hoenn region was like. I ne
ver found the anime to be interesting, so I was practically clueless about the P
okemon there. The normal starting theme came up, I was already enchanted by the
design of the new Pokemon.
I paused when I expected Pokemon Sapphire to come up, the screen went black. Abo
ut 10 seconds later, the title said POKEAAAAAAA- After a few seconds the title s
aid Mon. This got me even more excited because I had heard of these before. Peop
le modifying the normal Pokemon games, and making them their own! My heart was r
acing. I eagerly pressed the new game option. It started like this:
La-la-la-de-do .Tell me what time it is~ .
The clock thing came up, and I entered the time. The text box came up again.
Oh my! Already that time? I hope IT has not started already!
I thought for a few seconds. What is it? And why was it in capital letters? I as
sumed it meant that I was late to pick my Pokemon. I found myself in the normal
room. I remembered the potion that got stored in the PC. I found that there was
only something called LOO. What a weird item I thought. I exited out of that, and
headed downstairs. I decided to talk to my game mom. She looked young and was w
earing a plain blue dress, and pink hair. My character was a girl with brown str
aight hair, and wearing jeans. I had a plain Green t-shirt on. The character desi
gns were plain. Anyway this is what she said
DO YOU KNOW IT?
A yes or no option came up, and I clicked no . Then another option came up, and it
read if I wanted to use WOO. Curious of what it did, I said yes . Before her sprite
dissapeared, it read
Ah, my end came so soon I wish you have a long good one Annmari .
I named my character after myself, but there weren t enough spaces. So I left the
e off. Confused, I saw a lab, which appeared to be red. There was Professor Birc
h and my rival. Elm did his normal speech, and said
So pitiful .My ending came so early in LIFE Anyway, pick a starter
Then his sprite disappeared. There were three options to pick as starters, but s
trangely, my rival picked first. There was only Yellow and Blue left, because my
rival picked Green. Since Blue is my favorite color I picked that. Then there w
as my full-screen character, and in a clear voice she said,
Orange, your end is here.
Orange was a Torchic. Another full screen appeared, and a tear ran down its face.
This time the sprite did not fade, but when I tried to interact with it it said:
You made my end come. YOU DID. Not your character. If you had picked me, this wou
ldn t have happened. Not now, but later, I WILL GET REVENGE.
The game progressed normally, except whenever I battled a trainer, my character
came into full screen again and told the trainer or Pokemon that it was the end . T
hen, depending on the character, it would say something like
You made me have the end. I wanted to catch more Pokemon you know. Everything is
GONE. ALL BECAUSE OF YOU. I WILL GET REVENGE. But not now.
As I came closer to the elite four, they added Very soon. instead of not now. Soon
, Pokemon centers refused to heal me, and I relied on items. I beat the elite fo
ur, and was lead into a huge room. All the trainers and Pokemon alike, crowded a
round me. My rival which I named Nameless, started a conversation with my charac
ter.
Nameless: You made us experience painful ends.
Annmari: I didn t mean to! The GAME made me!
Nameless: When you made me have the END, you were smiling
Annmari: Ok, fine I enjoyed it. You are not the main one though.
Bug catcher: Why? We wanted this too. We ll make you experience the hardest END po
ssible
Annmari: Don t make me laugh! What can you add-in characters do!
Nameless: We can try as hard as we can to alter the game.
Annmari: The GAME is the most powerful one. If t had not been for it, you never
would exist. Anyways, if you alter it, you will die.
Nameless: Because of you, I don t have even a name! Dying would be much better the
n being trapped in the END
Annmari: You cannot alter the GAME. It chose ME. Not you Because of the GAME I am
the best. The GAME allowed me to win
Nameless: SILENCE! We ll alter it! We will make you have the most painful END and
die!
The screen went into a battle. It had no sprite, and said, All the ENDINGS want
to battle. It sent my character into battle, and I selected items since I had no
moves. I found no items so I used struggle. It only did damage to myself. The e
ndings used ALTER END. My cry was like a human scream. I found myself on a bicyc
le. I tried to get off after a while, and a message appeared
Nameless: This is your END .for now
Annmari: How? Why? ANNMARI .Help me .
Nameless: She can t help you. She is not the GAME. She can only pitifully watch.
Annmari: Huff .Getting tired .But I feel no pain at the same time .Why?
Nameless: You re in the END there is no way out now. Dislike your ending? I can ch
ange it.
A snapping noise came, and my character was bobbing in lava.
Nameless: You feel the pain? My pain was to battle you over and over .Because that
was my END. The END. ANNMARI, can you stand to see your character like this? Ju
st turn it off Then it will be all over
Annmari: NO! I DON T WANT TO DIE!
I was temted to see what would happen. I reset the game, and the starting theme
came up. It showed my character lying there, lifeless. A text box came up when i
t ended
The trainer was the main character She could not have an END or it was thought. End
ing all the add-in characters, she had a journey Behind her back, the ENDs planned
to modify the GAME So that it was possible for her to have the most painful END She
was known Now no more .Her pain will never end NEVER Forever Would you like to kill her a
nd end it all?
A yes or no option appeared. This was a hard choice, so I randomly picked yes . Bef
ore the game crashed, she said
Annmari: You betrayed me! I will get revenge But not now. You re END will come. And
the END will come to everyone who reads this EVERYONES END WILL COME!
The screen went black, and I never wanted to buy a hacked game ever again.
Note: This game is real~

DONTLISTEN
Defying my belief that this should be kept confidential, I will share this in th
e sole interest of two individuals. My name is Ruben. I have always been interes
ted in subliminal techniques, regardless of the media or way in which they are c
onveyed. However, I did not go looking for this particular example. No, it found
its way to me. It s certainly no coincidence that the move Curse was introduced in
Generation II with the release of Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal versions.
Often heard that you shouldn t judge a book by its cover? A sound should not be ju
dged by the way you hear it. There can be so much more, that of which the single
sense of hearing can not handle by itself. Sounds are visual as well, despite w
hat some may say. Any piece of music can alter your state of mind and emotions.
What else can sounds do? Maybe a certain group of individuals set out to answer
just that.
New concepts were realized with version 1.0 of the Lavender Town music released
in early Pokemon Green and Red cartridges in Japan. There s no doubt that there wa
s interest from the sound team to create an eerie effect from special infliction
s in the music, most notably the high pitched frequencies which could only be he
ard by those with especially acute hearing. Version 1.1 of the Lavender Town mus
ic soon replaced its older counterpart in newer cartridges in order to avoid sus
picions. Perhaps enough data had been collected anyway.
The person who posted the previous video was surprised to find that his friend,
Anthony, had developed a special way to retrieve the frequencies that were lost
when the developed music was redesigned in order to fit within the limitations o
f the Game Boy. According to him, certain hints were left in the music which enc
ouraged him to develop a way to analyze the sound and insert special tones which
mimicked the original intentions of the music. Although Anthony may have never
realized this, the tones which he added constructed unusual images within the so
und when combined with the original Pokemon music. These images had been embedde
d into the music through certain methods of steganography. In Pokemon Gold, Silv
er, and Crystal, these images were waiting for their key to be unlocked.
Likewise, two sound files from the Pokemon Gold, Silver, and Crystal soundtrack
fit together in an interesting way. One you are most likely familiar with; the o
ther you would have only heard if you had listened to your radio while within th
e Ruins of Alph. These files can never be played concurrently while playing the
game. However, they can be while using a computer.
I am not the one who posted the previous video. I will refer to him as Edwin fro
m this point on. When he looked through Anthony s laptop, he copied more than an a
udio file and just a few pictures. Edwin found an entire algorithm which Anthony
had written which was able to reconstruct the lost images within particular Pok
emon sound files. Anthony had created the sound file featured in the last video
from this algorithm and a generic binaural beat, which he had downloaded from th
e internet, and many viewers/listeners have recognized.
Subsequently after discovering Anthony s creation (lavender.wav) and his homemade
algorithm, Edwin himself became obsessed with the oddness of Lavender Town. Desp
ite what he wrote in the previous video, he did not lose interest. Edwin spent h
is time up until posting the last video testing Anthony s algorithm. He became qui
te familiar with it and tried it on numerous sounds from the early Pokemon games
. Eventually, he tried combining the Ruins of Alph music with the erratic sounds
that play on the radio. After running this through Anthony s algorithm, results e
ven more astounding than Anthony s original discovery were found. The outcome is t
his video.
To my dismay, I am the sound enthusiast which Edwin mentioned in the description o
f the last video. This is why I know so much of this ordeal and have felt the ne
ed to write this description as well as post this video. Edwin contacted me thro
ugh the internet requesting help with the lavender audio file, so I sent him a s
pectrogram program. He began to send me more and more details about the problems
he was facing as time went on, and I grew to know him pretty well. Eventually,
he sent me the password to this account along with a terrifying note.
Even after researching the sounds which caused Anthony s death for so long, I still
don t feel better about it. It was my fault he died. If I had just played through
my Blue version with him, he wouldn t have become so interested in the Lavender T
own stuff, we would have just kept playing. He was my best friend, but I let him
down. I wasn t a true friend. It s like I hardly knew him anymore after we went our
separate ways. I can t stand living with this burden. He attached the audio file p
laying in the video above as well as a password so I could access this account.
To say the least, I was baffled at the time. The day after the previous video wa
s posted, Edwin was found dead in his room, astonishingly with no flesh wounds t
o be found. Had he figured out the exact cause for Anthony s seizure? Was it suici
de? Both?
Never did he mention any specific details about this audio file, other than what
has already been mentioned in this description. I didn t want to have to get invo
lved further in this incident, but as I have already stated, I feel like it is m
y obligation. I don t, however, feel the need to describe the occurrences that tak
e place in this video. I will let you decide for your own about that. Keep in mi
nd, though, that in the game the scientists in the ruins claim that Unown commun
icate with radio waves. What was constructed in place of the Pokemon Tower in La
vender? The Kanto Radio Tower. I must let you know that this sound file was crea
ted with Anthony s algorithm with a binaural beat added in the background. Do the
Lavender Town theme and the Ruins of Alph music have something in common? An acc
ident? Something that could... drive someone insane?

Trading
I remember the day we first met,
You and your friend were being attacked by Starly,
Out of the three Pokemon in the briefcase, you chose me.
That made me feel special.

After we easily beat the Starly, I could see a strong friendship bonding between
us, many good times
coming our way.
I was right,
You even gave me a nickname after the scary old man made me officially yours: Hy
proi
I remember fondly the good times we've had together, beating Roark, me evolving
into Prinplup, strolling
in Amity Square, entering me into contests, feeding me poffins, evolving me into
Empoleon, helping you
catch Palkia...

And even though you caught many other Pokemon, I was still your favorite. You al
ways used me for
battle, and you always had me as the highest level Pokemon in your team.

You even let me battle Volkner, the electric type gym leader, and although I fai
nted, I'll never forget the
smile you had on your face when I defeated his Raichu and Luxray...

Yes, our friendship seemed to last, even after you defeated the pokemon League,
and even after you
completed the national pokedex....

But one day, you put me in the PC.

For what seemed like months you left me in that cursed place.
All the other pokemon were hostlie towards me out of jealously that I was your f
avorite Pokemon...
I was miserable all that time and after a while I lost faith that you would ever
get me out.

But one day, you finally got me out.

Out from that living nightmare,
Out from that "heck".

I sqwaked in happiness and joy that you finally remembered me after all this tim
e.

The next few moments were a blur to me,

I remember you flew us to Jubilife City on your Staraptor, Wing, and I remember
thinking that you were
probably going to dress me up and have a picture of me hang on the wall, like yo
u always used to do
back in the old days.
But no.
You were taking me to the GTS, the place where trainers trade Pokemon with other
trainers across the
world.

Many times have we came here before together,

You traded your pokemon with other people.
Every time we came here to trade, I remembered thinking that you would never tra
de me for anything.

Boy, was I wrong.

I'll never forget how you inserted me into that machine and put me up for trade,
a lv. 100 female
Empoleon for a Groudon of any level.

Why did you do it?

Had those good times we've had mean NOTHING to you?!

I'll never forget the last time I saw your face,

the first time I looked at you in hate.

Ever since, I have been rotting away in a PC of some stranger whom I've only see
n once.
I have never been used or loved in anyway by him.
the pokemon I am forced to live with are fairly nice to me,
but they all speak in a foriegn language I cannot understand.

My life has no longer have any meaning,

I am just another Pokemon in this human's collection...

...I hope you have fun with your Groudon.

Rusty Gold
I remember, about twenty years ago, I used to play Pokemon Gold. I wanted to see
if I could find it today, so, I looked in my attic. After about an hour of sear
ching through my childhood memories, I found it, the old Ho-oh sticker on the ca
rtridge. I smiled, I got Ho-oh on my old game and it was my favorite Pokemon. I
inserted the cartridge into my Gameboy, and played. I was going to start fresh a
nd new and was about to select "NEW GAME" But somehow, It was blanked out, could
n't start a new game. So, I decided to see my old game and say goodbye. I looked
at my team, Huh? They were all Unknowns! They spelled out: "WHYDID". I was conf
used. I looked at my team again, they spelled: "YOUABA" I was scared, In the end
it spelled out: "WHYDIDYOUABANDONME?" Then, the screen cut to black. I saw a gr
uesome sprite of a Ho-oh with a knife in it's Chest. I looked as all my team pro
gressed, all my pokemon were maimed in a horrible way. Then, the screen turned b
lack again. Then, it showed a Ho-oh with sorrowful blank eyes a text box said: "
Eric, why did you abandon me? I thought you were my master." Impossible! I named
my person Jamie, yet my real name was Eric! Then my Typhloshen, Pidgeot went by
the screen and all said something like: "Just why Eric, why?" "You wanted to st
art a new game and abandon us?" Then the screen did a flash, it was glitching. T
hen, they showed a terribly detailed picture of Ho-oh ripping out my insides. I
was terrified. I ripped the cartridge out and broke it, I will never play pokemo
n again.
