Thank you for lifting up the following folks in
prayer this week: On Sunday, October 7th, St. John’s will once again
Sunday School teachers & students be participating in the MERCY MEALS PACK
Confirmation parents & students AWAY HUNGER DAY to be held at Divot’s
                                                                       DeVent Center.

We need volunteers to help fill our 3 teams –
                Church Council
                                                                     (All ages can help)
Altar Guild 10 people per team
                    Quilters
Garden Club Good Neighbors MERCY MEALS, in partnership with the Orphan
Meals On Wheels Grain Train along with the help of donors and
volunteers, makes a difference in the lives of children
      Funeral Meal servers/coordinators
throughout the world. Where there is poverty, there
is hunger. Every year more than 3 million children
under the age of 5 die from malnutrition. Last year
MERCY MEALS and the Orphan Grain Train
shipped one million more meals than the previous
year. These shipments would not be possible without
the support of our donors and volunteers.
Gather your friends and family and reserve your spot
10 AM, Noon, or 2 PM
In addition to volunteers packing meals we also need
people to help with clean up after the event.

On the new Servant’s Schedules for October,
2018 thru January, 2019, please note that
the Worship Assistants have been “juggled”.
This was unintentional. If this causes
problems for anyone, please let the office
know and we’ll help move people and dates.
                                                             Apologies for the confusion!
Pictures for the new directory will be taken
through the end of September. Anyone with a
cell phone can also assist you in taking a photo

everyone, so get those selfies to us today! We
