Day 30 - Companion

The document discusses Psalm 40:1 and waiting patiently for God. It notes that while prayers may seem unanswered, God is always listening and answers in His perfect timing. It encourages educators to keep a daily journal of blessings to look back on how God has attended to the cries of their heart. It provides a quote about life being 10% what happens and 90% how we react to it, and ends by mentioning reading the Bible with others in public schools.

Note to the educator

Sometimes we pray for something for a long time and it seems like God is not listening. He is
Y

always listening to us. He knows our requests even before we ask, yet at times it seems that
our prayers are unanswered. Waiting is not a practice that most of us enjoy and waiting
patiently is seemingly impossible at times. Yet as we look back on our lives’ requests, we can
see that He is a “just in time” God Who not only listens to our cries but inclines Himself toward
us. Hindsight is 20/20 and gives us the chance to witness what God has done in our lives. If you
A

are not already journaling, I highly recommend a small daily journal where you record your
blessings large and small each week. Be sure to date the entries and look back each school
year. You will be amazed at just how attentive He has been to the cries of your heart.
1:16 PM prayer
D

Please pray for a sense of gratitude.

Quote for the day
