Alphabet Flashcards

Objectives:
to develop letter recognition
to recognize the letter-sounds
to develop language skills

Number of Participants: 10 children (small group)

Materials: Alphabet flashcards

Procedure:
1. The teacher shows one flashcard at a time.
2. Asks questions with regards to the picture shown in the
flashcard.
3. When picture in the flashcard is identified, the teacher
should emphasize the first sound.
4. Models the sound and let the children imitate the
sound produced.

Reminder:
The teacher should model the correct sound of
each letter.
