Identify a lesson and what standards are you addressing
The lesson was about recognize the connection between addition and multiplication. However, by the end
of the lesson the students will be able to use arrays to explore and model multiplication and they will
understand the basic concepts of multiplication equations using arrays models as a tool.
Describe (D):
What were you trying to achieve in your lesson? To make the students understand the connection
between multiplication and adding by counting any things.
What did the students do?
The students were highly active through the lesson.
- In the opening, students active and answer the questions from their prior knowledge.
- During the lesson, the students do different activities related to the lesson to get better
understanding.
- In the end of the lesson, they have a short quiz to solve it individually and they excited to finish all
the question correctly to get a star.
Analyze (A):
Why do you think the students responded the way that they did? They were active and engage with me
because I explain the lesson for them in different way so they understand.
How well did your teaching relate to the students’ prior understanding? I ask them different question
before explain the lesson to know what they already know about the connection between multiplication
and adding from their prior knowledge.
How well did you engage the students? I engage them by playing the online game with them at the end
of the lesson to review what they learn from the new lesson

Did your lesson meet your teaching goals?
Yes, because the students show me their understanding by during the group activity and individual
activity and they were able to answer and solve the problem correctly without help.
Transform (T):
How might you enhance student learning of this lesson in the future? In the future I will create more
difficult activities to challenge the students.
What are the implications for your professional practice? In this lesson, I used differentiation with the
students to do the activity according to their level so, that will help me in my professional practice.
