 IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
 Note: 1 Continuation fee ` 100/- will be charged only once during one academic year.
 Note: 2 A fine of ` 500/- (Rupees five hundred only) shall be charged from the candidates who are
         Defaulter of actual examination fee by less than 20%. If the fee due is more than 20% a fine
         of ` 1000/- (One thousand only) shall be charged.
 III.   PROVISIONAL LIST OF CENTRES OF ANNUAL & SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATIONS
        For PG Exam. (for Annual & Supplementary Exams): Ambala Cantt., Ambala City, Kaithal, Hisar, Jind,
        Sirsa, Kurukshetra, Shahbad (M) , Karnal, Panipat & Yamuna Nagar. The centres are provisional.
        For Supplementary Examinations: Ambala Cantt, Ambala City, Kaithal, Kalka, Karnal, Kurukshetra,
        Panipat, Yamuna Nagar, Jind, Hisar, Hansi, Fatehabad, Sirsa.
        University reserves the right to create or abolish any centre(s) at any stage.
 IV.    The candidates desirous of appearing privately under the ordinance for private candidate of Kurukshetra
        University, Kurukshetra in various Under-Graduate/Post Graduate examinations will submit their examination
        forms complete in all respects. They will deposit the required examination fee at any of the C.B.S. authorised
        branch of Punjab national Bank and will attach original receipt thereof with the examination form. The
        compartmental/re-appear candidates who are regular students of higher classes shall submit their examination
        forms through the college/Department concerned.

                            DIRECTIONS AND GUIDANCE FOR PRIVATE CANDIDATES
              For M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.Ed. (Annual System) and Diploma/Certificate Course Examination
                                (Read carefully and to be preserved by the candidate)
I.       LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF EXAMINATION ADMISSION FORM AND FEE IN THE UNIVERSITY
         OFFICE.
Important Notes :
         Postgraduate Courses
II.      The student should read very carefully the following note before depositing the Fees. Students who are
appearing as a fresh and enrolled 1st time in this University will pay the fees given in the prescribed column for fresh
candidates.
Migration Fees : ` 200/- The last date of submission of Migration Certificate in the University is 21 st December and
after that late fee of ` 200/- will be charged. Late fee will not be charged if the admission form is received with late fee
of ` 500/- or ` 1000/-. The candidate will not be allowed to appear in the examination if he/she does not submit the
Migration Certificate upto 28th February. But in exceptional cases, where the Vice-Chancellor is satisfied, the candidate
can appear in the Examination if he/she furnishes an affidavit with late of ` 400/- duly verified by the first class
Magistrate that he/she is not appearing in any other Exam. Simultaneously. But if he/she fails to submit the Migration
Certificate upto the time of declaration of result his/her candidature will be cancelled. But even if the candidate submits
the Migration Certificate within one year from the date of declaration of result with fee of ` 1000/- per year & Maximum
of ` 5000/- his/her result can be revived.
Use of Ink : Candidate must use only Blue /Black Ink.
Mode of Payment : Through Bank Draft, preferably drawn on State Bank of India or Fee can be deposited in any CBS Branch of
PNB in India, IPOs in favour of Registrar, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra-136 119.
III.     PROVISIONAL LIST OF CENTRES OF ANNUAL EXAMINATIONS
         Ambala Cantt., Ambala City, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panipat, Yamuna Nagar, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad,
         Sirsa, Shahbad (M) and Narwana.
         The above centers are provisional. University reserves the right to create or abolish any centre(s) at any
         stage.
         Examination Admission Forms can be had from the Manager, Printing and Publications, K.U. Kurukshetra on
         payment of ` 10/- (in cash) at the counter and ` 20/- by post and ` 45/- if required by Registered Post, or can
         be downloaded by the Internet.
         Every candidate shall be examined according to the scheme of examinations and syllabus as approved by the
         Academic Council from time to time. A candidate who fails in an examination or having been eligible fails to
         appear in an examination shall unless approved otherwise by the Academic Council taking the examination
         according to the syllabus prescribed by the University for regular students appearing for that examination.
IV.      GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :
         1.       Examination Fees once paid is neither refundable nor creditable to the candidates account for any
         subsequent examination, even if the admission form is not submitted or the candidate is unable to take the
         examination.
         2.       Candidate seeking admission in an examination on the basis of lower examination passed from other
         than Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra should send the original Certificate of the examination. Photostat
         copy is not acceptable. The Original Migration Certificate from other University/Board may also be attached
         with the Admission form.
         3.       All candidates (Men & Women) must affix with gum one copy of the Photograph (size 3 x 2) on page 1
         of the admission form and two copies on the Roll No.-cum-Admit Card at the space provided for the purpose,
         duly attested by the same officer who attested the admission form and one photograph on Computer Form
         (Unattested).
         4.       Application for change of Paper and/OR Centre OR any other entry in the form after its submission,
         will be considered only if received one month before the commencement of Annual Examinations and 15 days
         in case of Supplementary Examination alongwith the prescribed fee of ` 100/- for change of subject and `
         250/- for change of centre. Until and unless the candidates get written permission for change in paper/centre
         he/she shall not be allowed to appear in that paper/centre.

        5.       In all correspondence including telegrams with the University Office till the receipt of Roll No. the
        candidate must give his/her name and father's name, name of examination, subject offered, centre, University
        Fee Receipt No. and correspondence address. After receipt of Roll No., name of examination and the Roll No.
        allotted by the Kurukshetra University be quoted without these particulars, no replay may be expected.
        6.       In case a candidate does not receive his/her Roll No., 10 days prior to the commence of the
        Examination, he/she should contact the University/Officer on working day for this purpose. Though he/she can
        appear in one paper by depositing ` 50/- with the Centre Superintendent. If admission form has been
        submitted by him/her and he/she is otherwise eligible if not eligible his/her previous or same examination Roll
        No. will not be sent and fee will not be refundable.
        7.      Submit separate form for each part, i.e., previous and final if appearing in more than one part.
        8.      For Improvement of performance, the candidate in the first instant shall be required to intimate, all the
        course in which he/she would like to improve his /her performance previous and final. For this purpose a
        separate form alongwith admission fees for each part must be sent.
NOTE: Candidate appearing for the improvement of Division/Marks will take the examination according to the
      syllabus in force for the regular students of the Academic Session in which he proposes to take the
      examination. There is no provision for important in Diploma and Professional courses.
After declaration of main result, the candidate should contact the University immediately or within 15 days of despatch
of the D.M.C. if result is declared as RL Fee/ Registration/Lower/ Pass/Result /Provisional etc., otherwise University
will not be responsible if he/she is liable to pay late fees, in case the candidate fill up admission form for the same or
next examination.
NAME OF THE COMPETENT AUTHORITY WHO CAN ATTEST THE ADMISSION FORM OF THE PRIVATE
CANDIDATES:
                (i)      Proper Authorities for attesting the admission form are as under :
                         (a)     Chairperson of the University Teaching Department.
                         (b)     Principal of College recognised/maintained by the Kurukshetra University OR by the
                         Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.
                         (c)     A District OR Circle Education Officer.
                         (d)     Head of University Library and a Central State Library in the case of whole time
                         Library Staff.
                         (e)     An Office not below the rank of an Assistant Registrar in case of the University
                         Employee.
                         (f)     A member of the Court, Executive Council or Academic Council of the Kurukshetra
                         University.
                         (g)     Such other persons as may be authorized by the Academic Council for the purpose.
                         (h)     Ex-student of DCC : any Gazetted Officer.
V.      ADMISSION FORM BE SENT TO :
                1.      Deputy Registrar/Assistant Registrar (Exams-I) for : M.A./M.Sc. in Sanskrit, Philosophy,
                Music, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Electronics, Bio-Chemistry, M.Tech., Geo-
                Physics, M.Com., M.B.A., M.B.E. and M.Tech., Computer Science Examinations; and
                2.       Deputy/Assistant Registrar (Exams-II) for : M.A./M.Sc. in Education, History, Linguistics,
                Political Science, Public Administration, Panjabi, Psychology, Physical Education, Social Work, M.Ed.
                (Special Education), M.Lib., and Information Science, Geography and Statistics examinations.
                3.       Deputy/Asstt. Registrar (Exams-III) for : M.A. in Economics, English, Sociology and Hindi.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
      4.   Following category of candidates to appear as private candidates:
                       (i)      A woman candidate belonging to the State of Haryana even if residing outside the
                       State of Haryana.
                       (ii)     A person who has already passed in M.A/M.Sc./M.Com./M.P.Ed examination from this
                       university and wants to appears in an examination in another subject mentioned at overleaf.
                       (iii)     A permanently physically handicapped person more than 50% belonging to the State
                       of Haryana even if residing outside the State of Haryana, to appear in the examination on the
                       certificate of any of the following:
                                  (a)   Civil Surgeon of a district.
                                  (b) Director/Principal or a Professor of Medical College/Institution recognized by
                                  the University.
                       (iv)     Serving military Personnel belonging to the State of Haryana having not less than one
                       year service on the last date fixed by the University for receipt of application form for private
                       candidates without late fee/ex-Defence Service Personnel belonging to State of Haryana
                       even if residing outside the State of Haryana.
                       (v)     A whole-time employee of Kurukshetra University having not less than one-year
                       service on the last date fixed by the University of receipt of application forms for private
                       candidates without late fee.
               5.     Private M.A. is opened for : Women/Scheduled Castes (for detail, consult Ordinance)
               Permanently Physical Handicapped more than 50% and already M.A. passed from K.U.K. All these
               candidates should be Haryana Domiciled.
               6.       Candidate must mention/fill the column given at the 1 st page. Any wrong
               statement/concealment of the facts may lead to cancellation of candidature without any information to
               him/her.
               7.      Re-evaluation Result will be binding upon the student even if it effect the result adversely
               before the commencement of the examination.
               8.     Two permissible chances are allowed for clearing Re-appearing and three permissible
               chances are for improvement within four and five years respectively. Improvement can be done all of
               M.A. examination.
               9.      It is for information of the candidate that Roll No.-cum-Admit Card will be issued provisionally
               and that would be subject to final confirmation of eligibility. If any candidate subsequent to the issue of
               Roll No. or subsequent to appearance in the examination is found to be ineligible his candidature shall
               be cancelled by the Controller of the Examinations.
       10.     Students who have cleared lower Compartment Examinations in September, is not eligible for next
               higher/M.A. examination of the year.
       11.     Incomplete Admission form without Attestation, Complete/Latest Information will automatically stand
               cancelled.
               12.    Candidate, who pass at least 50% paper of PG Courses will be allowed to appear in
               Supplementary Examination.
               13.    Candidate who got finalized in their improvement result are not allowed to appear again for
               improvement in such case their result will not be declared even if they appear.
