for educators Malachi 4:6

NIV - He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to
their parents; or else I will come and strike the land with total destruc9on.


RSV - And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their
fathers, lest I come and smite the land with a curse.

KJV - And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children
to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

Who is this mighty preacher? Who is this powerful prophet who can turn the hearts of the
fathers to their children? Christ alone can turn hearts. Although the promise of turning hearts
to the children is future, there is a present element. When unbelievers come to know Jesus,
their hearts are turned. Pray for those who do not know Jesus on your campus. Pray that they
will come to know Him in a transformaKonal manner. Pray that He invades their whole being so

that their hearts will be turned to Him. If the hearts of the fathers were turned to the children,
the majority of our public school and societal issues would cease. We need fathers in our
homes, but most of all we need Jesus!
