THE OBJECTIVES OF THE BSA
PROGRAM
General :
The course program provides strategies for new
needs and future challenges in crop and animal production
especially those leading to national food security and
resource conservation using environment-friendly
technologies.
Specific:
1. To train and develop the manpower required for
agricultural and rural development of the country;
2. To undertake research on immediate and long
term problems of Philippine agriculture for the advancement
of agricultural science and technology; and
3. To disseminate research findings and technology
in a form or package suitable for adoption by extension
workers and farmers, help train/retain extension workers,
provide the technical background to extension technicians in
the field whenever necessary and conduct pilot
action/research projects on agriculture and rural
development
Subprogram Objectives:
Animal Science:
1. To stimulate and prepare students in the
development of their potentials in contributing to the
improvement of the agricultural sector, especially the
smallholders of poultry, swine and livestock.
2. To update students' knowledge and skills
through proper training and research in animal management
and meat processing.
3. To train students so they may acquire essential
technical, managerial and entrepreneurial skills in the field
of animal production.
4. To make students aware of the world of work
and develop their capacity for hard work.
Crop Science:
1. To train students on technical know-how in crop
through attendance to training programs and seminars and
the conduct of researches;
2. To help students identify he potential
technologies for maintaining quality, increasing efficiency
and minimizing losses in crop production and during
handling and storage of farm that are suitable for the socio-
economic and cultural conditions in the community;
3. To strengthen students' spirit of consciousness
in caring for the environment and utilize the available
materials to the fullest for crop production purposes; and
4. To increase students' level of competency in
handling crop products by engaging in various
entrepreneurial activities.
GOALS OF THE GRADUATE STUDIES
The Graduate Studies of the Mindoro State
College of Agriculture and Technology (MinSCAT) shall
serve to promote the advancement of professional
competencies among Graduate Students and provide
opportunities for scholastic achievement in the field of
education and government service.
OBJECTIVES OF THE MAEd PROGRAM
The program aims to:
1. provide quality instruction on the principles, trends,
thrusts, issues and approaches in the operation and
management of the educational enterprise;
2. deepen insights and develop in the graduate student
attitudes and skills needed for the efficient and effective
management of the education system and delivery of the
educational services;
3. perform researches vital for the strengthening of the
various aspects of the education system/process; and
4. conduct extension activities of graduate research in
education into forms that can be applied by
teachers/school personnel and other clientele.
