AIM
 The aim of this study is to investigate Isbt
design planning and work on parameters like
sustainability etc.
Topic Justification
 This thesis topic has been selected as "ISBT"
because of its demand of time and my interest
in this topic which is a part of “transport hub”
which was my dissertation topic.
 Also this project gives me an ample scope and
opportunity for transportation planning which i
wish to pursue further in my masters as
transportation planning
Introduction
In India, an Inter State Bus Terminal or Inter-
State Bus Terminus (ISBT) is a bus
terminus that provides bus service to
destinations located in other states.
An ISBT may also provide bus services to
destinations in the same state. Mostly ISBT Term
is used in the Northern Part of India, In the
western part of India, ST Stand or State
Transport Term is used.
Objective
1. To promote optimum connections between
all elements and spaces and incorporate
today's communication system like
surveillance.
2.To create clear segregation of different type
of traffic and make user friendly design.
3. To efficiently use the land available for the
project by segregating different services at
different levels.
4.To provide different amenities in connection
with ISBT like shopping mall, restaurant,
multiplex,etc.
