WHAT IS COMMUNICATION
         NOISE?
It is something that keeps a receiver from
   completely comprehending a message.
     TYPES OF NOISE
◍Psychological noise
◍Physiological noise
◍Physical noise
◍Semantic noise
  PSYCHOLOGICAL NOISE
◍ Psychological noise is mental
interference in the speaker or listener.
◍ This type of noise includes concepts
like prejudices, narrow-mindedness and
personal bias.
◍ Communication can also be difficult if a
person is feeling very emotional -- anger,
sadness and even joy can affect how much
someone can pay attention during a
conversation.
  PHYSIOLOGICAL NOISE
◍ Physiological noise is created by
barriers within the sender or receiver.
◍ Physiological noise is distraction
caused by hunger, fatigue, headaches,
medication and other factors that affect
how we feel and think.
  PHYSICAL NOISE
◍ Physical noise is interference that
is external to both speaker and listener;
it hampers the physical transmission of
the signal or message.
◍ Physical noise is present in our
environments, such as noises made by
others, overly dim or bright lights, spam
and pop-up ads, extreme temperatures and
crowded conditions.
  SEMANTIC NOISE
◍ Semantic noise exists when words
themselves are not mutually understood.
◍ Semantic noise refers to when a speaker
and a listener have different
interpretations of the meanings of certain
words.
◍ [People] sometimes create semantic noise
by using jargon or unnecessarily technical
language (Wood, 2010).
◍
  SEMANTIC NOISE
◍ Working from different understandings,
such as different vocabularies, primary
languages or dialects can also be
considered as semantic noise.
◍ Noise can also occur when pedantic
vocabulary or regional colloquialisms
break down communication.
