Intentional Discipleship

This document discusses intentional discipleship following Jesus' example. It begins by explaining that Jesus' final command was to go and make disciples. This means discipleship should be a continuous lifestyle from generation to generation. The document then outlines Jesus' process of intentional discipleship: he called disciples to be with him in relationship, and this relationship empowered them to go out and serve by preaching, healing, and casting out demons. Intentional discipleship changes lives, increases anointing, and deepens our revelation of Jesus.

LEGACY MAKER

“Live a Life that Matters”

Marks are the remains of
previous action. Legacies
are inspirations for
actions yet to be
undertaken.
And Jesus came and spoke to
them, saying, “All authority
has been given to Me in
heaven and on earth.
1 8 -2 0 | N K J V
Ma tth e w 2 8 :
GO therefore and MAKE
DISCIPLES of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son & of the Holy
Spirit,
1 8 -2 0 | N K J V
Ma tth e w 2 8 :
Elements Are Required for True
Discipleship:
1. Placing God’s Truth into
My Head – LEARNING
The root word for the Greek word translated
“disciple” is (manthano) which is translated as
the verb “to learn.”
Matthew 29:11 ESV

Take my yoke upon you, and
learn from me, for I am gentl
e and lowly in heart, and you
will find rest for your souls.
“A become like Christ. The disciple
of Christ is to become like Christ in
everything. Of course, with the help
of the Prophet of the Lord, they
became an instrument and to form
what should be formed in alignment
with the will and purpose of the
Lord as his follower and Servant
leader.”
It's a different feeling
when someone cares and
monitors you so that you
grow deeper, wider and
higher in the Lord.
2. Putting God’s Truth into My Actions –
LIVING - Practice

Learning Must Lead to Living (Putting to

Practice)

Our Claims Are Validated by Our Conduct - He
who says he abides in Him ought himself also to
walk just as He walked.
1 John 2:6 (ESV)

whoever says he abides

in him ought to walk in
the same way in which he
walked.
3. Prioritizing God’s Truth
in My Choices – LEAVING
– Priorities
Luke 14:26–35 (ESV)

26 “If anyone comes to me and does not

hate his own father and mother and wife
and children and brothers and sisters,
yes, and even his own life, he cannot be
my disciple. 27 Whoever does not bear
his own cross and come after me cannot
be my disciple.
28 For which of you, desiring to
build a tower, does not first sit
down and count the cost, whether
he has enough to complete it?
29 Otherwise, when he has laid a
foundation and is not able to finish,
all who see it begin to mock him,
30 saying, ‘This man began to build
and was not able to finish.’
31 Or what king, going out to encounter
another king in war, will not sit down
first and deliberate whether he is able
with ten thousand to meet him who
comes against him with twenty
thousand? 32 And if not, while the other
is yet a great way off, he sends a
delegation and asks for terms of peace.
33 So therefore, any one of you who does
not renounce all that he has cannot be
my disciple.
Luke 14:26–35 (APSD)

“Kon may tawo nga gustong

mosunod kanako, apan mas
gimahal niya ang iyang mga
ginikanan, asawa, mga anak, mga
igsoon o ang iyang kaugalingon kay
kanako, dili siya mahimong akong
tinun-an.
Si bisan kinsa nga dili mosunod
kanako tungod sa kahadlok nga
kamatayon ang iyang dangatan
dili mahimong akong tinun-an.
28
Ang tawo nga gustong mosunod
kanako, sama siya sa tawo nga
nagplanong magtukod ug taas nga
balay. Una, banabanaon niya kon
pila ang iyang magasto ug kon
paigo ba ang iyang kuwarta nga
gastohon hangtod nga mahuman
kini.
29 Tungod kay kon dili niya kini himuon
tingali ug pundasyon pa lang ang iyang
matrabaho ug mahurot na ang iyang kuwarta
ug dili na niya kini mahuman. Busa kataw-an
gayod siya sa mga tawo nga makakita niini
Moingon sila, ‘Kining tawhana
nagpatuga-tuga ug tukod ug balay apan
dili man diay makapahuman.’ 31 Sama usab siya

gipalabi dinhi sa kalibotan, dili kamo mahimong akong tinun-an.”

Lukas 14: 34(APSD):
“Ang asin maayo, apan
kon mawala na ang iyang
lami, wala nay mahimo pa
aron molami kini pag-
usab.
TEACHING them to observe
all things that I have
commanded you; and lo, I am
with you always, even to the
end of the age.” Amen.

Jesus' mandate is to
GO and MAKE
DISCIPLES
THIS IS INTENTIONAL
Greek word for GO can
be translated as "to

MAKING

WHY INTENTIONAL
DISCIPLESHIP?
Because discipleship
NEVER STOPS
: it is a continuous
Lifestyle from generation
to generation.
IT'S JESUS LIFESTYLE
He didn't teach
discipleship,
but He lived it!
IT CHANGES LIVES
...and the disciples were
first called Christians
"Christ like ones" in
