1.INTRODUCTION

2.TYPES OF INTEL PROCESSORS

INTEL PROCESSOR
 Intel was founded in 1968 by a group of semiconductors engineers from Fairchild
semiconductor, led by Gordon Moore and Robert Noyce. The company’s name comes
from shortening the term intergrated electronic.
 An Intel processor is a type of microprocessor produced by the intel corporation. It
is the brain of a computer and is responsible for processing data and instruction.

 Intel processors are the most popular CPUs for desktop and laptops in the world.
They are offered in a range of model famalies, with name like
Core,Xeon,Pentium, and Celeron. They come in multiple generations like 9th,10th,and
11th.

 These household –word processors power most of the Pcs on the market ,with
specific models engineered for enhanced speed, mobility, creative workflows, gaming
performance, business news, big data and other application.

 Intel also offers graphics processing units(GPUs),networking accelerators, and

communications and security product.
TYPES OF INTEL PROCESSORS

i. i3 processors
ii. i5 processors
iii.i7 processors
iv.i9 processors
v. Intel Atom
i3 PROCESSORS

 It is designed for low - end desktop and laptops computers .

 The 1st generation of i3 processors was launched in 2010.

 The speed of processing an i3 generally an range from 1.2

GHZ to 4.4 GHZ.

 It is suitable for basic tasks such as a web browsing , office

application , video streaming and casual gaming.

 It may not perform well for more demanding task such as video
editing , 3D rending, or gaming at high setting.
i5 PROCESSORS

 It is designed for mid – range desktop and laptop computer.

 The 1st generation i5 processors was launched in 2009.

 The speed of processing an i5 processor generally as base

clock ranging form 1.6 GHZ to 4.4 GHZ and a turbo speed
ranging form 3.4 HZ to 5.3 GHZ.

 It is suitable for moderate task like gaming , content

creation , multitasking and video editing.

 It may lag at a time of gaming in some demanding scenario.

i7 PROCESSORS
 It is positioned at the top of the intel core series , making it more
powerful than the core i3 and core i5 processors.

 The 1st generation of i7 processor was launched in 2008.

 The speed of processing an i7 processor generally as

base clock ranging form 1.8 GHZ to 3.8 GHZ and a turbo
speed ranging form 4.0 GHZ to 5.3GHZ.

 It is suitable for advance task like gaming , content

creation , multitasking and video editing.

 It can handle most applications and game smoothly , even

in demanding scenario .
i9 PROCESSORS

 It is designed for the highest level of performance and quality

for desktop and laptop computers.

 The 1st generation of i9 processors was launched in 2017.

 The speed of processing an i9 processor generally as base

clock ranging form 2.6 GHZ to 3.8 GHZ and a turbo speed
ranging form 4.4 GHZ to 5.3 GHZ.

 It is suitable for most demanding task like gaming , content

creation , multitasking and video editing.
INTEL ATOM

• Intel atom is a line of IA-32 and x86 – 64 instruction set ultra –

low- voltage processors by intel corporation designed to reduce
electric consumption and power dissipation in comparison with
ordinary processors of the intel processors.

• It is mainly used in netbooks, nettops, embedded application ranging

from health care to advanced robotics, mobile internet device
(MIDs) and phones.

• It is designed to be low power – and pays for it by lower

performance .For power consumption , the atom is better .For
performance the i series are better.
