DIFFERENT TYPES OF LIGHT FIXTURES

WHA IS A LIGHT
FIXTURE?
• Light fixtures, also known as lighting fixtures or luminaires, are
devices used to hold and distribute light sources in a space. They are
designed to provide illumination and enhance the aesthetic appeal of
a room or area. Light fixtures come in various shapes, sizes, and
styles, ranging from ceiling-mounted fixtures, pendant lights,
chandeliers, wall sconces, table lamps, and floor lamps. They can be
made of different materials such as metal, glass, plastic, or fabric.
Light fixtures typically include components like a housing or frame,
electrical connections, sockets or holders for light bulbs or LED
modules, and sometimes decorative elements like shades or
diffusers. These fixtures play a crucial role in creating ambiance,
setting the mood, and providing functional lighting in residential,

CEILING FAN

• A ceiling fan is a mechanical device suspended from the

ceiling that circulates air in a room. It typically consists
of a motor housed in a central body, attached to rotating
blades. Ceiling fans are designed to provide both cooling
and improved air circulation. They are operated by a
switch or remote control and offer multiple speed
settings to control the airflow. In addition to their
functional purpose, ceiling fans can also serve as
decorative elements, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of
a room. They are commonly found in homes, offices, and
other indoor spaces where air movement and
temperature regulation are desired.
CHANDELIER

• A chandelier is an ornamental lighting fixture that hangs

from the ceiling and is often characterized by multiple
arms or branches that hold light bulbs or candles. It is
typically designed to be a focal point in a room and adds
a touch of elegance and grandeur. Chandeliers come in a

choices for formal dining rooms, entryways, and other
areas where a statement piece is desired.
PENDANT

• A pendant light is a suspended lighting fixture that hangs
from the ceiling by a cord, chain, or rod. It typically consists
of a single light source enclosed in a decorative shade or
fixture. Pendant lights are versatile and can be used for
both functional and decorative purposes. They come in
various styles, shapes, and sizes, allowing them to
complement different interior design themes and provide
focused illumination over specific areas, such as kitchen
islands, dining tables, or entryways. Pendant lights are
popular for their ability to add a stylish and contemporary

creating a visually appealing focal point.

vertical bar or plate. They come in various styles, sizes, and
finishes to complement different bathroom aesthetics. Vanity
lights are essential for creating functional and well-lit spaces in
bathrooms, ensuring optimal visibility for daily grooming routines
and enhancing the overall ambiance of the area.
TRACK
LIGHT
• A track light is a versatile lighting fixture that consists of a
track or rail system with adjustable light heads or fixtures.
The track is typically mounted on the ceiling or wall and
allows for flexibility in positioning the individual light heads
along its length. Track lights are commonly used in
galleries, retail spaces, and residential settings to provide
adjustable and directional lighting. They offer the
advantage of being able to highlight specific objects,
artwork, or areas in a room by adjusting the position and
