See below for the full list of additions: – cover scan of Archie Sonic the Hedgehog issue 226 added to Comics and Graphic Novels section Watch a 7 and a Half Minute Gameplay Preview of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Courtesy of IGN | Video SpotlightFebruary 13th, 2025The Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds media train is now in full swing as IGN have shared a 7 and a half minute gameplay preview of the game in the wake of yesterday’s announcement trailer that debuted at the Sony State of Play event. You can check it out via the embed below: The gameplay of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is a more traditional racing affair instead of the team-based action of Team Sonic Racing. The 2nd lap of each race takes place in a different dimension with the leader of the pack choosing from 2 big rings to enter when they complete the lap. IGN also confirm that Zazz from Sonic Lost World is one of the new playable characters. Tricking off jumps and drops is also much faster and snappier than in previous Sonic racing games. Yesterday we previously stated one of the stage’s looked like the After Burner stage from Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed. It turns out this stage is actually based on Metal Harbor from Sonic Adventure 2. People have also noticed that Sage from Sonic Frontiers is one of the playable characters in CrossWorlds. It has also come to light that some of the developers behind 2021’s Intitial D: The Arcade are working on Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. Thanks to The Sonic Stadium for spotting that one. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is reportedly “coming soon” to PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Development is being lead by Sonic Team. Shinobi: Art of Vengeance Formally Announced, Lizardcube DevelopingFebruary 12th, 2025SEGA have formally announced the title of the new Shinobi game alongside its developer and release date. Streets of Rage 4 developers Lizardcube are creating the game which will launch on August 29th 2025 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch and PC. You can check out the full announcent trailer by clicking the embed below: The trailer showcases a beautiful hand-drawn art style, fast combat, and the return of lots of Shinobi franchise iconography like the surfing section from Shinobi 3. The game will also be available as a digital deluxe edition that includes a ghost outfit, medic lite amulet, SEGA villains bonus stage, in-game upgrade currency and a digital artbook and soundtrack. Get Your First In-Game Look at Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds With This New Announcement Trailer | Video SpotlightFebruary 12th, 2025A brand new announcement trailer for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has dropped and with it comes our first look at the in-game action of this new Sonic racing game. You can view the trailer via the embed below: Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is letting you take the racing action to land, sea and sky whilst also travelling to different dimensions using ring portals. You can also use a variety of different vehicles including the Extreme Gear from the Sonic Riders games. While Sonic characters were the only characters represented in this current trailer, it did appear to include the After Burner course from Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed so maybe characters from different SEGA franchises may also be included. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is promised to be releasing “soon” on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch. Sonic Team are handling development duties internally. Early Concept Footage of New Virtua Fighter Project Now Available to Watch | Video SpotlightJanuary 7th, 2025The official Virtua Fighter YouTube channel has shared a short 35 second long clip of Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s pre-development concept for the new Virtua Fighter project that was revealed at The Game Awards 2024. This concept footage shows what RGG Studio are aiming for the final game to look and play like, but it was created before the game was greenlit for full development. This means the look and feel of the game is likely going to change as development progresses. The footage shows 2 Akira’s in different outfits fighting in the street. The animations are extremely fluid and the camera angles change to frame specific attacks in a more dramatic way. Destructible environments are also showcased. You can view the concept footage via the embed below: The new Virtua Fighter project is currently in development at Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. No release date or target platforms have been announced at the time of writing. RGG Studio Announce New 1915 Period Title ‘Project Century’December 13th, 2024Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio are keeping themselves very busy because they’ve also revealed a brand new title that is being temporarily named Project Century. This new action game appears to be sent in the Kamurocho of 1915 and the reveal trailer shows a new character exploring the city and getting into some rather nasty scraps. Check it out via the embed below: Project Century currently has no release window or target platforms at the time of writing, but the game is being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Get Your First Look at Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. With This New Gameplay Trailer | Video SpotlightDecember 13th, 2024Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. has received its first gameplay trailer. This new version of Virtua Fighter 5 brings the game to PCs with 4K support and rollback netcode. Content-wise the game is largely similar to Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown on PS4. You can check out the new trailer via the embed below: Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will be SEGA’s final iteration of Virtua Fighter 5 before the next mainline entry releases. The game will release on PC on January 28th 2025. A 30th Anniversary Edition will also be available that gives you access to additional costumes, pre-production materials, music, wallpapers, titles and some cute console-themed items that look like a Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast. Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown Receives Huge 2.0 PatchDecember 13th, 2024PS4 fighting game Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown has just received a massive 2.0 update that is available to download right now. The game features a whole host of balancing adjustments, new hit effects, new combos and returning moves. You can watch a detailed trailer that showcases all the new stuff via the embed below: Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown is a PS4 exclusive fighting game from AM2 and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. New Sonic Racing Game ‘Sonic Racing CrossWorlds’ Announced for All Current Gen PlatformsDecember 13th, 2024A new Sonic the Hedgehog racing game is “coming soon”. This new title is called Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds and will be released for PC, Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. The first teaser trailer for the game was showcased at The Game Awards 2024 and features Shadow the Hedgehog getting into a car that is not too dissimilar from the one he uses in Team Sonic Racing. The game’s logo is also reminiscent of Team Sonic Racing. Maybe this is a hint that the game was be a sequel to Team Sonic Racing?
