TRAINING

At the College of Applied Linguistics & Languages of the University of the Nations, we are delighted to offer a variety of training programs for different levels of involvement in Bible translation. To best support our growing Bible translation community, we provide flexible training options in various lengths and formats, honoring the unique goals and needs of each team. Students have the opportunity to translate the Bible as part of the training, ensuring that both theory and practice are combined.

OBT School and Practicum

Our 11-12 week course prepares you to serve in an oral Bible translation project as a facilitator or mother tongue translator. You will gain comprehensive knowledge of the entire translation process and have the opportunity to participate in translating a small book.

Associate Degree

Our AA degree provides YWAMers with a solid foundation to serve in the Bible Translation movement in various capacities, including training and coaching teams.

Bachelor’s Degree

Our BA degree includes mastery in Biblical languages, giving YWAMers a deeper foundation to serve in the Bible Translation movement. BA graduates are prepared to train, coach teams, and provide advice in Biblical languages.

Our MA in Applied Linguistics for Bible Translation (Mali BT) is designed to improve the skills of those with experience in Bible Translation. This program prepares YWAMers to mentor Bible translation teams and emphasizes consultancy for quality assurance.
