Minhang district locates in the middle of Shanghai, has a land area of 371.68 km2. and a population of 2,508,000 residents as of 2012. Most of the district is residential area but it’s also home to some key factories and production facilities in shanghai. The fast food chain Yonghe King and Want Want China, the milk manufacturer, have both headquarters in the district. Shanghai Jiaotong University and East China Normal University have chosen minhang district to build their campuses. Traveling is convenient in Minhang, which is served with six metro lines and has Hongqiao International Airport and Hongqiao High-speed Railway Station in the area.
