Job Description
As an Expeditor/Quality Engineer - NPD Mech at Frigate, your role involves preparing the Overall Quality Assurance Plan for various manufacturing processes such as Sheet Metal, Casting, Forging, Injection Molding, and Machining. This includes considering sales/order documents, customer specifications, internal standards, quality regulations, and functional specifications. Your responsibilities also include identifying, investigating, and resolving supplier technical issues, implementing measures to improve Corrective Action Requests (CAR) and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA), and ensuring on-time closures by coordinating between suppliers and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare Overall Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) for different manufacturing processes - Identify and resolve supplier technical issues effectively - Implement measures to improve CAR/CAPA and process efficiency - Act as a coordinator between suppliers and internal teams to improve closure lead time and accuracy - Audit, evaluate, monitor, and maintain supplier performance - Coordinate post-order activities including expediting, inspection, and shipping - Provide post-order service information and documentation to the Project Manager - Organize meetings with vendors, review purchase orders, and ensure uniform understanding - Expedite production and shipping activities to speed up deliveries - Maintain expediting file for project duration - Encourage and implement a culture of Continuous Improvement within the team and at the supplier end Qualifications Required: - B.E/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile/Production from a reputed University - 1-2 years of experience in the General Engineering Industry - Minimum 1 year of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance At Frigate, we are the manufacturing brains behind successful companies.
