As an individual assisting in the procurement of specified products and services for construction projects, your role will involve the following key responsibilities: - Secure new and update existing subcontractor/vendor prequalifications, including financial statement analysis and reference verification, to make informed bid or contract recommendations. - Establish and oversee the Procurement Schedule while attending and contributing to project meetings. - Manage the bid process, including developing project bidding procedures, preparing documentation, prequalifying subcontractors/vendors, and approving bid lists. - Review plans and specifications for deficiencies, construction issues, and technical questions, escalating findings for resolution as needed. - Oversee the receipt of project-specific bids and facilitate the development and execution of bid comparison spreadsheets. - Review and analyze bid documents to fully understand the scope of work. - Prepare a Scope & Responsibility Matrix based on bid requirements. - Draft additional provisions for trade-specific scope of work while ensuring alignment with contract terms and conditions. - Develop comprehensive Bid Recording Sheets (BRS) for specific trades based on bid documents. - Analyze and compare subcontractor bids to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and cost variations. - Level proposals in BRS to ensure fair cost evaluation and accurate comparison. - Provide cost-benefit recommendations to support procurement decisions. - Work closely with procurement, contracts, and project management teams to ensure alignment with company policies and project objectives. - Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to clarify scope deviations and discrepancies. - Coordinate with respective teams and trade partners to validate quantities and ensure compliance with contract specifications. Qualifications & Experience required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. - 5-15 years of experience in procurement or a related field. - Basic knowledge of SAP procurement activities is preferred.,
